1 Benjamin had five sons: Bela, Ashbel, Aharah,

3 The sons of Bela were Addar, Gera, Abihud,

6 [One of Gera’s sons was Ehud.] The descendants of Ehud were leaders of their clans who lived in Geba [city], but they were forced to move to Manahath [city].

7 Ehud’s sons/descendants were Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera. Gera was the one who led them when they moved to Manahath. Gera was the father of Uzza and Ahihud.

8 [Another descendant of Benjamin was Shaharaim]. He and his wife Hushim had two sons, Abitub and Elpaal. In [the] Moab [region], Shaharaim divorced Hushim and his other wife Baara. [Then he married a woman whose name was] Hodesh, and they had [seven sons]: Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam, Jeuz, Sakia, and Mirmah. They were all leaders of their clans.

12 Elpaal’s sons were Eber, Misham, Shemed, Beriah, and Shema. Shemed built [the towns of] Ono and Lod, and the nearby villages. Beriah and Shema were leaders of their clans, who lived in Aijalon [city]. They forced the people who lived in Gath [city] to leave their city.

también Berías y Sema, jefes de casas paternas de los habitantes de Ayalón, que pusieron en fuga a los habitantes de Gat.
14 Beriah’s sons were Ahio, Shashak, Jeremoth, Zebadiah, Arad, Eder, Michael, Ishpah, and Joha.

17 [Other] descendants of Elpaal were Zebadiah, Meshullam, Hizki, Heber,

18 Ishmerai, Izliah, and Jobab.

19 [Another descendant of Benjamin was Shimei.] Shimei’s descendants included Jakim, Zicri, Zabdi, Elienai, Zillethai, Eliel, Adaiah, Beraiah, and Shimrath.

22 Shashak’s sons were Ishpan, Eber, Eliel,
Ispán, Eber. Eliel,
23 Abdon, Zicri, Hanan,

24 Hananiah, Elam, Anthothijah,
Hananías, Elam, Anatotías.
25 Iphdeiah, and Penuel.

26 [Another descendant of Benjamin was] Jeroham, whose sons were Shamsherai, Shehariah, Athaliah, Jaareshiah, Elijah, and Zicri.

28 In the records of these clans it is written that all those men were leaders of their clans, and they lived in Jerusalem.
Estos son los jefes de las casas paternas, según sus linajes, que habitaban en Jerusalén.
29 [Another descendant of Benjamin was] Jeiel. He lived in Gibeon [town], and he was the leader there. His wife was Maacah.

30 His oldest son was Abdon. His other sons were Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
y Abdón, su hijo primogénito, y Sur, Cis, Baal, Nadab,
31 Gedor, Ahio, Zeker,
Gedor, Ahío y Zequer.
32 and Mikloth. Mikloth was the father of Shimeah. All these sons of Jeiel also lived near their relatives in Jerusalem.
Miclot engendró a Simeá. También estos, habitaron con sus hermanos en Jerusalén, frente a sus hermanos.
33 Ner was the father of Kish, and Kish was the father of [King] Saul. Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-Baal.
Ner engendró a Cis; Cis engendró a Saúl; Saúl engendró a Jonatán, Melquisúa, Abinadab, y Esbáal.
34 Jonathan’s son was Merib-Baal. Merib-Baal was the father of Micah.
Hijos de Jonatán: Meribbáal. Meribbáal engendró a Mica.
35 Micah’s sons were Pithon, Melech, Tarea, and Ahaz.
Hijos de Mica: Pitón, Mélec, Tarea y Acaz.
36 Ahaz was the father of Jehoaddah. Jehoaddah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri was the father of Moza.
Acaz engendró a Joadá, Joadá engendró a Alémet, Azmáyet y Simrí. Simrí engendró a Mosá;
37 Moza was the father of Binea. The son of Binea was Raphah. The son of Raphah was Eleasah. The son of Eleasah was Azel.
Mosá engendró a Bineá, cuyo hijo fue Rafa, hijo de este Elasá, e hijo de este, Asel.
38 Azel had six sons: Azrikam, Bokeru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan.
AseI tuvo seis hijos, cuyos nombres son estos: Azricam, Bocrú, Ismael, Searías, Obadías y Hanán. Todos estos son hijos de Asel.
39 Azel’s [younger] brother was Eshek. Eshek’s oldest son was Ulam. His other sons were Jeush and Eliphelet.
Hijos de Esec, su hermano: Ulam, su primogénito, Jeús, el segundo, y Elifélet, el tercero.
40 Ulam’s sons were brave warriors and (good archers/able to shoot arrows well). Altogether they had 150 sons and grandsons. Those were the descendants of Benjamin.
Los hijos de Ulam eran valientes guerreros, que manejaban el arco, padres de muchos hijos y nietos: ciento cincuenta. Todos estos pertenecen a los hijos de Benjamín.
