2 Kings 9
1 Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets and said to him, “Dress for travel, then take this little bottle of oil in your hand and go to Ramoth Gilead.
Da rief der Prophet Elisäus einen der Prophetensöhne und sprach: "Gürte deine Lenden! Nimm diese Ölflasche mit dir und geh nach Ramot im Gilead!
2 When you arrive, look for Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi, and go in and make him arise up from among his companions, and conduct him to an inner chamber.
Und kommst du dort an, dann merk auf! Dort ist Jehu, Josaphats Sohn und Nimsis Enkel. Trittst du ein, dann laß ihn aus seiner Brüder Mitte aufstehen und führ ihn in das innerste Gemach!
3 Then take the bottle of oil and pour it on his head and say, 'Yahweh says this: “I have anointed you king over Israel.”' Then open the door, and run off; do not delay.”
Dann nimm die Ölflasche, gieße daraus auf sein Haupt und sage: 'So spricht der Herr: "Ich salbe dich zum König über Israel!"' Dann öffne die Tür und fliehe unverweilt!"
4 So the young man, the young prophet, went to Ramoth Gilead.
Da ging der Jüngling - der Jüngling war ein Prophet - nach Ramot im Gilead.
5 When he arrived, behold, the captains of the army were sitting. So the young prophet said, “I have come on an errand to you, captain.” Jehu replied, “To which of us?” The young prophet answered, “To you, captain.”
Als er hinkam, saßen die Hauptleute des Heeres da. Er sagte: "Hauptmann! Ich habe dir etwas zu sagen." Jehu fragte: "Wem von uns allen?" Er sprach: "Hauptmann! Dir!"
6 So Jehu arose and went into the house, and the prophet poured the oil on his head and said to Jehu, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, says this: 'I have anointed you king over the people of Yahweh, over Israel.
Da stand er auf und ging ins Haus hinein. Da goß er ihm das Öl aufs Haupt und sagte zu ihm: "So spricht der Herr, Israels Gott: 'Ich salbe dich zum König über des Herrn Volk, über Israel.
7 You must kill the family of Ahab your master, so that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of Yahweh, who were murdered by the hand of Jezebel.
Schlage nieder das Haus Achabs, deines Herrn, damit ich räche meiner Diener, der Propheten, Blut sowie das Blut aller anderen Diener des Herrn an Izebel
8 For the whole family of Ahab will perish, and I will cut off from Ahab every male child, whether he is a slave or a free person.
und an dem ganzen Achabhause! Zugrunde geht das ganze Achabhaus. Von Achab tilge ich die Wandpisser, wie Mündige in Israel.
9 I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat and like the house of Baasha son of Ahijah.
Ich mache so das Achabhaus gleich dem des Nebatsohns Jeroboam und gleich dem Haus des Achiasohnes Baësa.
10 The dogs will eat Jezebel in Jezreel, and there will be no one to bury her.'” Then the prophet opened the door and ran off.
Izebel aber fressen Hunde auf der Flur von Jezreel, und niemand ist, der sie bestattet.'" Darauf öffnete er die Tür und floh.
11 Then Jehu came out to the servants of his master, and one said to him, “Is everything alright? Why did this mad fellow come to you?” Jehu answered them, “You know the man and the kinds of things he says.”
Als Jehu nun zu den Dienern seines Herrn hinaustrat, fragte man ihn: "Steht es gut? Weshalb ist dieser Verrückte zu dir gekommen?" Er sprach zu ihnen: "Ihr kennt ja den Mann und sein Geschwätz."
12 They said, “That is a lie. Tell us.” Jehu answered, “He said this and that to me, and he also said, 'This is what Yahweh says: I have anointed you as king over Israel.'”
Sie sprachen. "Ausflüchte! Sag es uns!" Da sagte er: "So und so hat er zu mir gesprochen: 'So spricht der Herr: "Ich salbe dich zum König über Israel."'"
13 Then each of them quickly took off his outer garment and put it under Jehu at the top of the steps. They blew the trumpet and said, “Jehu is king.”
Da nahmen sie eilends jeder sein Gewand und legten es unter ihn auf die Treppenziegel. Dann stießen sie in das Horn und riefen: "Jehu ist König."
14 In this way Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. Now Joram had been defending Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Aram,
Also verschwor sich Jehu, Josaphats Sohn und Nimsis Enkel, gegen Joram. Joram aber lag auf der Wacht zu Ramot im Gilead mit ganz Israel gegen Arams König Chazael.
15 but King Joram had gone back to Jezreel to be healed of the wounds that the Arameans had given him, when he had fought against Hazael king of Aram. Jehu said to the servants of Joram, “If this is your opinion, then let no one escape and go out of the city, in order to go tell this news in Jezreel.”
Der König Joram aber kehrte heim, um sich in Jezreel heilen zu lassen von den Wunden, die ihm die Aramäer schlugen, als er mit Arams König Chazael kämpfte. Jehu sprach: "Ist es euch genehm, dann gehe niemand heimlich aus der Stadt in der Absicht, hinzugehen und es in Jezreel zu melden!"
16 So Jehu rode in a chariot to Jezreel; for Joram was resting there. Now Ahaziah king of Judah had come down to see Joram.
Hierauf bestieg Jehu einen Wagen und fuhr nach Jezreel. Denn dort lag Joram, und der Judakönig Achazja war herabgezogen, Joram zu besuchen.
17 The watchman was standing on the tower in Jezreel, and he saw the company of Jehu as he came at a distance; he said, “I see a group of men coming.” Joram said, “Take a horseman, and send him out to meet them; tell him to say, 'Are you coming in peace?'”
Auf dem Turme zu Jezreel aber stand der Wächter und sah Jehus, Schar herankommen. Er sprach: "Ich sehe eine Schar." Da sprach Joram: "Hole einen Reiter und schicke ihn jenen entgegen, daß er frage: 'In friedlicher Absicht?'"
18 So a man was sent on horseback to meet him; he said, “The king says this: 'Are coming in peace?'” So Jehu said, “What have you to do with peace? Turn and ride behind me.” Then the watchman told the king, “The messenger has met them, but he is not coming back.”
Da ritt der Reiter ihm entgegen und sprach: "So fragt der König: 'In friedlicher Absicht?'" Jehu sprach: "Was geht dich der Frieden an? Schwenke hinter mich ein!" Der Wächter meldete es und sprach: "Der Bote ist bei ihnen angelangt, kehrt aber nicht um."
19 Then he sent out a second man on horseback, who came to them and said, “The king says this: 'Are you coming in peace?'” Jehu answered, “What have you to do with peace? Turn and ride behind me.”
Da sandte er einen zweiten Reiter. Er kam zu ihm und sprach: "So fragt der König: 'Friedlich?'" Jehu sprach: "Was geht dich der Frieden an? Schwenke hinter mich ein!"
20 Again the watchman reported, “He has met them, but he is not coming back. For the way that the chariot is being driven is the way that Jehu son of Nimshi drives; he is driving wildly.”
Der Wächter meldete: "Auch er ist bei ihnen angelangt, kehrt aber nicht um. Und das Fahren gleicht dem Fahren des Nimsisohnes Jehu; denn er fährt unsinnig."
21 So Joram said, “Get my chariot ready.” They prepared his chariot, and Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah rode out, each in his chariot, to meet Jehu. They found him at the property of Naboth the Jezreelite.
Da sprach Joram: "Spanne ein!" Man spannte seinen Wagen ein, und der König von Israel, Joram, fuhr mit dem Judakönig Achazja hinaus, jeder auf seinem Wagen. So fuhren sie Jehu entgegen und trafen ihn auf des Jezreeliters Nabot Grundstück.
22 When Joram saw Jehu, he said, “Are you coming in peace, Jehu?” He answered, “What peace is there, when the idolatrous acts of prostitution and witchcraft of your mother Jezebel are so many?”
Als Joram den Jehu erblickte, fragte er: "In friedlicher Absicht, Jehu?" Er sprach: "Was, friedliche Absicht bei deiner Mutter Izebel Hurerei und ihren zahllosen Ränken!"
23 So Joram turned his chariot and fled and said to Ahaziah, “There is treachery, Ahaziah.”
Da lenkte Joram um und floh. Er rief Achazja zu "Verrat! Achazja!"
24 Then Jehu drew his bow with his full strength and shot Joram between his shoulders; the arrow went through his heart, and he sank down in his chariot.
Da spannte Jehu den Bogen bis aufs äußerste und traf Joram zwischen die Arme. Der Pfeil fuhr ihm durchs Herz, und er sank in seinem Wagen nieder.
25 Then Jehu said to Bidkar his captain, “Pick him up and throw him in the field of Naboth the Jezreelite. Think about how when you and I rode together after Ahab his father, Yahweh placed this prophecy against him:
Dann sprach er zu seinem Krieger Bidekar: "Nimm ihn und wirf ihn auf des Jezreeliters Nabot Grundstück! Denk daran, wie ich und du hinter seinem Vater Achab Seite an Seite ritten, als der Herr über ihn diesen Ausspruch tat:
26 'Yesterday I saw the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons—declares Yahweh—and I will surely make you pay for it on this field—declares Yahweh. Now then, pick him up and throw him on this field, according to the word of Yahweh.”
'Ich habe gestern Nabots und seiner Söhne Blut gesehen - ein Spruch des Herrn - und ich vergelte es dir auf diesem Grundstück.' Ein Spruch des Herrn. So nimm ihn und wirf ihn auf das Grundstück nach des Herrn Wort!"
27 When Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled up the road to Beth Haggan. But Jehu followed him, and said, “Kill him also in the chariot,” and they shot him at the ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. Ahaziah fled to Megiddo and died there.
Dies hatte der Judakönig Achazja mit angesehen; da floh er gegen das Gartenhaus. Jehu jagte ihm nach und rief: "Schlagt auch diesen auf dem Wagen!" Es war auf der Steige von Gur bei Ibleam. Doch er entkam nach Megiddo; dort aber starb er.
28 His servants carried his body in a chariot to Jerusalem and buried him in his tomb with his fathers in the city of David.
Dann fuhren ihn seine Diener nach Jerusalem und begruben ihn in seiner Grabstätte bei seinen Ahnen in der Davidsstadt.
29 Now it was in the eleventh year of Joram son of Ahab that Ahaziah had begun to reign over Judah.
Im elften Jahr des Achabsohnes Joram war Achazja über Juda König geworden.
30 When Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it, and she painted her eyes, arranged her hair, and looked out the window.
Nun kam Jehu nach Jezreel. Als Izebel davon hörte, schminkte sie die Augenlider, schmückte ihr Haupt und schaute zum Fenster hinaus.
31 As Jehu was entering the gate, she said to him, “Are you coming in peace, you Zimri, your master's murderer?”
Als Jehu durch das Tor kam, sprach sie: "Geht es Zimri, dem Mörder seines Herrn, gut?"
32 Jehu looked up at the window and said, “Who is on my side? Who?” Then two or three eunuchs looked out.
Da blickte er zum Fenster hinauf und rief: "Wer hält es mit mir? Wer?" Da blickten zu ihm zwei oder drei Kämmerlinge herunter.
33 So Jehu said, “Throw her down.” So they threw Jezebel down, and some of her blood spattered on the wall and the horses, and Jehu trampled her underfoot.
Er rief: "Stürzt sie herab!" Und sie stürzten diese hinab. Von ihrem Blut aber spritzte an die Mauer und an die Rosse, und sie zerstampften sie.
34 When Jehu entered the palace, he ate and drank. Then he said, “See now to this cursed woman and bury her, for she is a king's daughter.”
Er aber ging hinein und aß und trank. Dann sprach er: "Seht nach dieser Verfluchten und begrabt sie! Sie ist doch eine Königstochter."
35 They went to bury her, but they found no more of her than the skull, the feet, and the palms of her hands.
Da gingen sie hin, sie zu begraben, fanden aber von ihr nichts mehr als den Schädel, die Füße und Arme.
36 So they came back and told Jehu. He said, “This is the word of Yahweh which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 'In the land at Jezreel the dogs will eat the flesh of Jezebel,
Sie kamen zurück und meldeten es ihm. Er sprach: "Das ist des Herrn Wort, das er durch seinen Diener, den Tisbiter Elias, gesprochen hat: 'Das Fleisch Izebels fressen Hunde auf der Flur von Jezreel.
37 and the body of Jezebel will be like dung on the surface of the fields in the land at Jezreel, so that no one will be able to say, “This is Jezebel.”'”
Izebels Leichnam wird wie Ackerdünger auf der Flur von Jezreel, daß man nicht sagen kann: "Das ist Izebel."'"
