Job 22

1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,

१मग अलीफज तेमानीने उत्तर दिले व तो म्हणाला,

2 “Can a man be useful to God? Can a wise man be useful to him?

२“देवासाठी मनुष्य उपयुक्त होऊ शकेल काय? ज्ञानी मनुष्य देवाला उपयोगी होऊ शकतो काय?

3 Is it any pleasure to the Almighty if you are righteous? Is it gain to him if you make your ways blameless?

३तुमच्या धार्मिक जगण्याने सर्वसमर्थाला काही आनंद होतो काय? तू चांगला राहीलास तर त्यास काही लाभ होईल काय?

4 Is it because of your reverence for him that he rebukes you and takes you to judgment?

४तो तुझा भक्तीभाव पाहून तुझा निषेध करतो आणि तुला न्यायाकडे नेतो का?

5 Is not your wickedness great? Is there no end to your iniquities?

५तुझे पाप मोठे नाही काय? तुझ्या दुष्टाईला अंत नाही ना?

6 For you have demanded guarantee of a loan from your brother for no reason, and you have stripped away clothing from the naked.

६तू विनाकारण आपल्या भावाचे गहाण अडकवून ठेवले, उघड्यांची वस्त्रे तू हिरावून घेतली.

7 You have not given water to weary people to drink; you have withheld bread from hungry people

७तू थकलेल्यास पाणी दिले नाही आणि भुकेल्या लोकांस अन्न दिले नाही.

8 although you, a mighty man, possessed the earth, although you, an honored man, lived in it.

८जरी तू, शक्तीमान मनुष्य असशील, सर्व भूमी तुझी असेल, जरी तू एक सन्मानीत मनुष्य असशील.

9 You have sent widows away empty; the arms of the fatherless have been broken.

९तू विधवांना काहीही न देता घालवून दिले असशील, पोरक्याचे बाहू मोडले असशील.

10 Therefore, snares are all around you, and sudden fear troubles you.

१०म्हणूनच तुझ्या भोवती सापळे आहेत आणि अचानक आलेल्या संकटानी तू घाबरुन जात आहेस.

11 There is darkness, so that you cannot see; an abundance of waters covers you.

११म्हणूनच सर्वत्र इतका अंधार आहे की तुला काही दिसत नाही आणि तू पुराच्या पाण्याने चोहोबाजूंनी वेढला आहेस.

12 Is not God in the heights of heaven? Look at the height of the stars, how high they are!

१२देव उंच स्वर्गात नाही काय? तारे किती उंचावर आहेत ते बघ, ते कीती उंच आहेत.

13 You say, 'What does God know? Can he judge through the thick darkness?

१३आणि तू म्हणतो देवाला काय माहीती आहे? दाट अंधाराच्या आडून तो कसा न्याय करतो.

14 Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he does not see us; he walks on the vault of heaven.'

१४दाट ढग त्यास झाकत आहेत, म्हणजे त्याने आपल्याला बघू नये.

15 Will you keep the old way that wicked men have walked—

१५तू जूनाच मार्ग धरणार आहेस काय, ज्यावर दुष्टजण चालले.

16 those who were snatched away before their time, those whose foundations have washed away like a river,

१६त्यांची वेळ येण्यापूर्वीच त्यांचा नाश करण्यात आला, त्यांचा पाया नदीसारखा वाहून गेला.

17 those who said to God, 'Depart from us'; those who said, 'What can the Almighty do to us?'

१७जे देवाला म्हटले, ‘आमच्या पासून निघून जा तो सर्वशक्तिमान देव आम्हास काय करु शकतो?’

18 Yet he filled their houses with good things; the plans of wicked people are far from me.

१८आणि त्यानेच त्यांची घरे चांगल्या वस्तूंनी भरली होती. परंतू दुष्टाची योजना माझ्यापासुन दूर आहे.

19 Righteous people see their fate and are glad; innocent people laugh them to scorn.

१९धार्मिक त्यांचा नाश पाहून संतोष पावतील. निर्दोष त्यांचा उपहास करतात.

20 They say, 'Surely those who rose up against us are cut off; fire has consumed their possessions.'

२०आणि म्हणतात खरोखरच आमच्या विरूद्ध जे उठले त्यांचा नाश झाला आहे. त्यांची संपत्ती आगीत नष्ट होत आहे.

21 Now agree with God and be at peace with him; in that way, good will come to you.

२१तू आता देवाला शरण जा. त्याच्याशी सलोखा कर. तू हे केलेस तर तुला खूप चांगल्या गोष्टी मिळतील.

22 Receive, I beg you, instruction from his mouth; store up his words in your heart.

२२मी तुला विनंती करतो त्याच्या तोंडच्या सूचनांचा स्विकार कर. त्याचे शब्द आपल्या हृदयात ठेव.

23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up, if you put unrighteousness far away from your tents.

२३तू सर्वशक्तिमान देवाकडे परत येशील, तर तुझी बांधणी होईल. जर तू अधार्मीकता आपल्या तंबूपासून दूर ठेवशील.

24 Lay your treasure down in the dust, the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks,

२४तुझ्याजवळ असलेल्या संपत्तीला मातीमोल मानशील, तू तुझ्या सर्वात चांगल्या ओफीरच्या सोन्याला दरीतल्या दगडाएवढी किंमत देशील.

25 and the Almighty will be your treasure, precious silver to you.

२५म्हणजे सर्वशक्तिमान देवच तुझे धन असा होईल आणि तो तुला मोलवान रूपे असा होईल.

26 For then you will take pleasure in the Almighty; you will lift up your face to God.

२६तेव्हा तू सर्वशक्तिमानच्या ठायी आनंद पावशील, तू तुझे मुख देवाकडे वर करशील.

27 You will make your prayer to him, and he will hear you; you will pay your vows to him.

२७तू त्याची प्रार्थना करशील आणि तो तुझे ऐकेल आणि तू आपले नवस फेडशील.

28 You will also decree anything, and it will be confirmed for you; light will shine on your paths.

२८जी गोष्ट तू मनात आणशील तेव्हा ती सिध्दीस जाईल. प्रकाश तुझ्या मार्गात चमकेल.

29 God humbles a proud man, and he saves the one with lowered eyes.

२९देव गर्वीष्ठांना नम्र करील, आणि तो नम्र लोंकाची सुटका करील.

30 He will rescue even the man who is not innocent; who will be rescued through the cleanness of your hands.”

३०जो निर्दोष नाही त्यालाही तो वाचवतो, तुझ्या हाताच्या निर्मळतेमुळे ते बचावले जातील.”
