2 Samuel 2
1 And it came to pass after this, that David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the LORD said to him, Go up. And David said, Where shall I go up? And he said, To Hebron.
၁ထိုနောက် ဒါဝိဒ်က၊ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ယုဒမြို့ တစုံတမြို့သို့ သွားရပါမည်လောဟု ထာဝရဘုရား ထံတော်၌ မေးလျှောက်လျှင်၊ ထာဝရဘုရားက သွားလော့ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။ ဒါဝိဒ်ကလည်း အဘယ်မြို့သို့ သွားရပါမည်နည်းဟုမေးလျှောက်သော်၊ ဟေဗြုန်မြို့သို့ သွားလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း၊
2 So David went up there, and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail Nabal’s wife the Carmelite.
၂ဒါဝိဒ်သည် မယားနှစ်ယောက်၊ ယေဇရေလမြို့သူအဟိနောင်၊ နာဗလမယား ကရမေလမြို့သူ အဘိဂဲလတို့နှင့်တကွ သွားလေ၏။
3 And his men that were with him did David bring up, every man with his household: and they dwelt in the cities of Hebron.
၃မိမိ၌ပါသောလူများ၊ အိမ်ထောင်များတို့ကိုလည်း ဒါဝိဒ်သည် ခေါ်ခဲ့၍သူတို့သည် ဟေဗြုန်မြို့ရွာတို့၌ နေကြ၏။
4 And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, That the men of Jabeshgilead were they that buried Saul.
၄တဖန်ယုဒလူတို့သည် လာ၍ဘိသိက်ပေးသဖြင့် ဒါဝိဒ်ကို ယုဒရှင်ဘုရင်အရာ၌ ချီးမြှောက်ကြ၏။
5 And David sent messengers to the men of Jabeshgilead, and said to them, Blessed be ye of the LORD, that ye have shown this kindness to your lord, even to Saul, and have buried him.
၅ဂိလဒ်ပြည် ယာဗက်မြို့သားတို့သည် ရှောလုကို သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ပါပြီဟု ဒါဝိဒ်အားကြားလျှောက်သော်၊ ဂိလဒ်ပြည် ယာဗက်မြို့သားတို့ရှိရာသို့ တမန်တို့ကိုစေလွှတ်၍၊ သင်တို့သည် သင်တို့အရှင်ရှောလု၌ ကရုဏာ ကျေးဇူးပြု၍ အလောင်းတော်ကိုသင်္ဂြိုဟ်သောကြောင့်၊ ထာဝရဘုရားပေးတော်မူသော ကောင်းကြီးမင်္ဂလာကို ခံရကြပါစေ သော။
6 And now the LORD show kindness and truth to you: and I also will repay you this kindness, because ye have done this thing.
၆ထာဝရဘုရားသည် သင်တို့၌ ကရုဏာကျေးဇူး၊ သစ္စာကျေးဇူးပြုတော်မူပါစေသော။ သင်တို့သည် ဤအမှုကို ပြုသောကြောင့် သင်တို့ကျေးဇူးကို ငါလည်းဆပ်မည်။
7 Therefore now let your hands be strengthened, and be ye valiant: for your master Saul is dead, and also the house of Judah have anointed me king over them.
၇ယခုမှာ အားယူ၍ ရဲရင့်ခြင်းသတ္တိရှိကြလော့။ သင်တို့အရှင်ရှောလုသေပြီ။ ယုဒအမျိုးသားတို့သည် ဘိသိတ်ပေးသဖြင့် ငါ့ကိုရှင်ဘုရင်အရာ၌ ချီးမြောက်ကြပြီဟု မှာလိုက်လေ၏။
8 But Abner the son of Ner, captain of Saul’s host, took Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and brought him over to Mahanaim;
၈သို့ရာတွင် ရှောလု၏ဗိုလ်ချုပ်မင်းနေရသား အာဗနာသည်၊ ရှောလုသားဣရှဗောရှက်ကိုယူ၍ မဟာနိမ် မြို့သို့ ဆောင်သွားပြီးလျှင်၊
9 And he made him king over Gilead, and over the Ashurites, and over Jezreel, and over Ephraim, and over Benjamin, and over all Israel.
၉ဂိလဒ်ပြည်၊ အာရှာအမျိုးသားများ၊ ယေဇရေလမြို့သားများ၊ ဧဖရိမ်ခရိုင်၊ ဗင်္ယာမိန်ခရိုင်အစရှိသော ဣသရေလနိုင်ငံလုံးကို အစိုးရသော ရှင်ဘုရင်အရာ၌ ချီးမြှောက်လေ၏။
10 Ishbosheth Saul’s son was forty years old when he began to reign over Israel, and he reigned two years. But the house of Judah followed David.
၁၀ရှောလု၏သား ဣရှဗောရှက်သည် အသက်လေးဆယ်ရှိသော်၊ ဣသရေလနိုင်ငံကို အစိုးရ၍ နှစ်နှစ် စိုးစံလေ၏။ ယုဒအမျိုးမူကား ဒါဝိဒ်နောက်သို့ လိုက်ကြ၏။
11 And the time that David was king in Hebron over the house of Judah was seven years and six months.
၁၁ဒါဝိဒ်သည် ဟေဗြုန်မြို့၌နေ၍ ယုဒအမျိုးကို အစိုးရသောနှစ်ပေါင်းကား ခုနစ်နှစ်နှင့်ခြောက်လဖြစ် သတည်း။
12 And Abner the son of Ner, and the servants of Ishbosheth the son of Saul, went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon.
၁၂တဖန်နေရသား အာဗနာသည် ရှောလုသား ဣရှဗောရှက်၏ကျွန်များနှင့်တကွ၊ မဟာနိမ်မြို့မှ ဂိဗောင်မြို့သို့သွား၍၊
13 And Joab the son of Zeruiah, and the servants of David, went out, and met together by the pool of Gibeon: and they sat down, the one on the one side of the pool, and the other on the other side of the pool.
၁၃ဇေရုယာသားယွာဘနှင့် ဒါဝိဒ်၏ကျွန်တို့သည် ဆီးကြိုသဖြင့်၊ ဂိဗောင်ရေကန်အနားမှာဆုံမိလျက် ရေကန် တဘက်တချက်၌ ထိုင်ကြ၏။
14 And Abner said to Joab, Let the young men now arise, and fight before us. And Joab said, Let them arise.
၁၄အာဗနာကလည်း၊ လုလင်တို့သည်ထ၍ ငါတို့ရှေ့မှာကစားကြပါလေစေဟုဆိုသော်၊ ယွာဘက ထကြပါ လေစေဟုဆိုသည်အတိုင်း၊
15 Then there arose and went over by number twelve of Benjamin, who pertained to Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and twelve of the servants of David.
၁၅ရှောလုသားဣရှဗောရှက်၏ လူဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုးသားတကျိပ်နှစ်ယောက်နှင့် ဒါဝိဒ်၏ကျွန်တကျိပ် နှစ်ယောက်တို့သည် ထ၍ကူးလာကြ၏။
16 And they caught every one his opponent by the head, and thrust his sword in his opponent’s side; so they fell down together: therefore that place was called Helkathhazzurim, which is in Gibeon.
၁၆သူတို့သည်လူချင်းတိုက်၍ လူတိုင်း မိမိတိုက်ဘက်၏ ခေါင်းကိုကိုင်လျက်၊ နံဖေးကိုထားနှင့်ထိုးလျက် တစုတည်းလဲသေကြ၏။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ ဂိဗောင်မြို့နယ်၌ ရှိသော ထိုအရပ်ကို ဟေလကသဇ္ဇုရိမ်ဟူသော အမည်ဖြင့် သမုတ်ကြ၏။
17 And there was a very fierce battle that day; and Abner was smitten, and the men of Israel, before the servants of David.
၁၇ထိုနေ့၌ ပြင်းစွာစစ်တိုက်၍ အာဗနာနှင့် ဣသ ရေလလူတို့သည် ဒါဝိဒ်၏ကျွန်တို့ရှေ့မှာ ရှုံးကြလေ၏။
18 And there were three sons of Zeruiah there, Joab, and Abishai, and Asahel: and Asahel was as light of foot as a wild roe.
၁၈ဇေရုယာသားသုံးယောက်၊ ယွာဘ၊ အဘိရှဲ၊ အာသဟေလပါကြ၏။ အာသဟေလသည်တော၌ ကျင်လည်သောဒရယ်ကဲ့သို့ လျင်မြန်၏။
19 And Asahel pursued after Abner; and in going he turned not to the right hand nor to the left from following Abner.
၁၉အာသဟေလသည် လက်ျားလက် လက်ဝဲဘက် သို့မလွှဲ အာဗနာကို လိုက်၏။
20 Then Abner looked behind him, and said, Art thou Asahel? And he answered, I am.
၂၀အာဗနာသည်နောက်သို့ကြည့်၍၊ သင်သည် အာသဟေလမှန်သလောဟုမေးသော်၊ မှန်သည်ဟု ပြန်ပြော၏။
21 And Abner said to him, Turn thee aside to thy right hand or to thy left, and lay hold on one of the young men, and take to thee his armour. But Asahel would not turn aside from following him.
၂၁အာဗနာကလည်း၊ လက်ျာဘက်သော်၎င်း၊ လက်ဝဲဘက်သော်၎င်း လှည့်သွားလျက်၊ လုလင် တယောက်ကို ဘမ်းဆီး၍ သူ၏လက်နက်စုံကို လုယူတော့ဟုဆိုသော်လည်း၊ အာသဟေလသည် မလှည့်ဘဲ လိုက်သေး၏။
22 And Abner said again to Asahel, Turn thee aside from following me: why should I smite thee to the ground? how then should I hold up my face to Joab thy brother?
၂၂တဖန်အာဗနာက ငါ့ကိုမလိုက်နှင့်။ လှည့်သွားတော့။ သင့်ကို မြေပေါ်သို့အဘယ်ကြောင့် ငါလှဲရမည် နည်း။ သို့ပြုလျှင် သင့်အစ်ကိုယွာဘရှေ့မှာ ငါ့မျက်နှာကို အဘယ်သို့ ငါပြနိုင်မည်နည်းဟု ဆိုသော်လည်း၊
23 But he refused to turn aside: therefore Abner with the blunt end of the spear smote him under the fifth rib, that the spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, that as many as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood still.
၂၃အာသဟေလသည် နားမထောင်သောကြောင့်၊ အာဗနာသည် နောက်သို့လှံနှင့်ထိုးလျှင်၊ ဝမ်း၌လှံဖျား ဝင်၍ ကျောကိုထုတ်ချင်းဖောက်သဖြင့်၊ အာသဟေလသည် လဲ၍ ထိုအရပ်၌သေ၏။ အာသဟေလလဲ၍ သေသော ထိုအရပ်သို့ရောက်သော သူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ရပ်နေကြ၏။
24 Joab also and Abishai pursued Abner: and the sun went down when they had come to the hill of Ammah, that lieth before Giah by the way of the wilderness of Gibeon.
၂၄ယွာဘနှင့် အဘိရှဲသည် အာဗနာကိုလိုက်၍ ဂိဗောင်တောသို့ သွာသောလမ်းနား၊ ဂိအာမြို့ရှေ့မှာ ရှိသော အမ္မတောင်သို့ရောက်သောအခါ နေဝင်၏။
25 And the children of Benjamin gathered themselves together after Abner, and became one troop, and stood on the top of an hill.
၂၅ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုးသားတို့သည် အာဗနာနောက်၌ စုဝေး၍ တတပ်တည်းဖွဲ့လျက် တောင်ပေါ်မှာ ရပ်နေ ကြ၏။
26 Then Abner called to Joab, and said, Shall the sword devour for ever? knowest thou not that it will be bitterness in the latter end? how long shall it be then, before thou wilt bid the people return from following their brethren?
၂၆ထိုအခါအာဗနာက၊ ယွာဘကိုဟစ်၍၊ ထားသွားသည် အစဉ်မပြတ် ကိုက်စားရမည်လော။ နောက်ဆုံး၌ ခါးသောအရသာကို တွေ့လိမ့်မည်ဟုမသိသော။ လူများတို့သည် ညီအစ်ကိုတို့ကိုမလိုက်၊ ပြန်စေမည်အကြောင်း သင်သည်အဘယ်မျှ ကာလပတ်လုံးမစီရင်ဘဲ နေမည် နည်းဟုဆိုလျှင်၊
27 And Joab said, As God liveth, unless thou hadst spoken, surely then in the morning the people had gone up every one from following his brother.
၂၇ယွာဘက၊ ဘုရားသခင်အသက်ရှင်တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း သင်မပြောလျှင်၊ မိုဃ်းလင်းမှသာ လူများတို့သည် ညီအစ်ကိုတို့ကိုမလိုက်ဘဲနေကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု ဆိုလျက်၊
28 So Joab blew a trumpet, and all the people stood still, and pursued Israel no more, neither fought they any more.
၂၈တံပိုးမှုတ်၍ လူများတို့သည် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့ကို မလိုက်၊ စစ်မတိုက်ဘဲရပ်နေကြ၏။
29 And Abner and his men walked all that night through the plain, and passed over Jordan, and went through all Bithron, and they came to Mahanaim.
၂၉အာဗနာနှင့်သူ၏လူတို့သည် တညဉ့်လုံးလွင်ပြင် သို့ရှောက်သွား၍ ယော်ဒန်မြစ်ကိုကူးပြီးလျှင်၊ ဗိသရုန် ပြည်ကိုလွန်၍ မဟာနိမ်မြို့သို့ ရောက်ကြ၏။
30 And Joab returned from following Abner: and when he had gathered all the people together, there lacked of David’s servants nineteen men and Asahel.
၃၀ယွာဘသည်လည်း အာဗနာကိုလိုက်ရာမှ ပြန်၍ လူအပေါင်းတို့ကို စုဝေးစေသောအခါ၊ အာသဟေလနှင့် ဒါဝိဒ်၏ကျွန်တကျိပ်ကိုးယောက်တို့သည် မရှိဆုံးကြပြီ။
31 But the servants of David had smitten of Benjamin, and of Abner’s men, so that three hundred and sixty men died.
၃၁ဒါဝိဒ်၏ကျွန်တို့သည် ဗင်္ယာမန်အမျိုးသား၊ အာဗနာ၏လူသုံးရာခြောက်ဆယ်တို့ကို သေအောင် လုပ်ကြံကြပြီ။
32 And they took up Asahel, and buried him in the sepulchre of his father, which was in Bethlehem. And Joab and his men went all night, and they came to Hebron at break of day.
၃၂အာသဟေလ၏ အလောင်းကိုထမ်းသွား၍ ဗက်လင်မြို့၌ရှိသော သူ့အဘ၏သင်္ချိုင်းတွင် သင်္ဂြိုဟ် ကြ၏။ ယွာဘနှင့် သူ၏လူတို့သည် တညဉ့်လုံးသွား၍၊ မိုဃ်းလင်းစတွင်ဟေဗြုန်မြို့သို့ရောက်ကြ၏။
