Genesis 15
1 After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
是等の事の後ヱホバの言異象の中にアブラムに臨て曰くアブラムよ懼るなかれ我は汝の干櫓なり汝の賚は甚大なるべし
2 And Abram said, LORD God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?
アブラム言けるは主ヱホバよ何を我に與んとしたまふや我は子なくして居り此ダマスコのエリエゼル我が家の相續人なり
3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is my heir.
アブラム又言けるは視よ爾子を我にたまはず我の家の子わが嗣子とならんとすと
4 And, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, This shall not be thy heir; but he that shall come forth out of thy own loins shall be thy heir.
ヱホバの言彼にのぞみて曰く此者は爾の嗣子となるべからず汝の身より出る者爾の嗣子となるべしと
5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and count the stars, if thou art able to number them: and he said to him, So shall thy seed be.
斯てヱホバ彼を外に携へ出して言たまひけるは天を望みて星を數へ得るかを見よと又彼に言たまひけるは汝の子孫は是のごとくなるべしと
6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
アブラム、ヱホバを信ずヱホバこれを彼の義となしたまへり
7 And he said to him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.
又彼に言たまひけるは我は此地を汝に與へて之を有たしめんとて汝をカルデアのウルより導き出せるヱホバなり
8 And he said, Lord GOD, by what shall I know that I shall inherit it?
彼言けるは主ヱホバよ我いかにして我之を有つことを知るべきや
9 And he said to him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a female goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.
ヱホバ彼に言たまひけるは三歳の牝牛と三歳の牝山羊と三歳の牡羊と山鳩および雛き鴿を我ために取れと
10 And he took to him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds he did not divide.
彼乃ち是等を皆取て之を中より剖き其剖たる者を各相對はしめて置り但鳥は剖ざりき
11 And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away.
鷙鳥其死體の上に下る時はアブラム之を驅はらへり
12 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.
斯て日の沒る頃アブラム酣く睡りしが其大に暗きを覺えて懼れたり
13 And he said to Abram, Know certainly that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
時にヱホバ、アブラムに言たまひけるは爾確に知るべし爾の子孫他人の國に旅人となりて其人々に服事へん彼等四百年のあひだ之を惱さん
14 And also that nation, which they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
又其服事たる國民は我之を鞫かん其後彼等は大なる財貨を携へて出ん
15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
爾は安然に爾の父祖の所にゆかん爾は遐齡に逹りて葬らるべし
16 But in the fourth generation they shall come here again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.
四代に及びて彼等此に返りきたらん其はアモリ人の惡未だ貫盈ざれば也と
17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun had gone down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
斯て日の沒て黒暗となりし時烟と火焔の出る爐其切剖たる物の中を通過り
18 In that same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, To thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:
是日にヱホバ、アブラムと契約をなして言たまひけるは我此地をエジプトの河より彼大河即ちユフラテ河まで爾の子孫に與ふ
19 The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,
即ちケニ人ケナズ人カデモニ人
20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,
ヘテ人ペリジ人レパイム人
21 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.
アモリ人カナン人ヱブス人の地是なり
