Hosea 2

1 Say ye to your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.

Dizei a vossos irmãos, Ammi, e a vossas irmãs, Ruhama:

2 Contend with your mother, contend: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her harlotry out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;

Contendei com vossa mãe, contendei, porque ella não é minha mulher, e eu não sou seu marido, e tire ella as suas fornicações da sua face e os seus adulterios de entre os seus peitos.

3 Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and kill her with thirst.

Para que eu não a despoje despida, e a ponha como no dia em que nasceu, e a faça como um deserto, e a ponha como uma terra secca, e a mate á sede,

4 And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they are the children of harlotry.

E não me apiede de seus filhos, porque são filhos de fornicações.

5 For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, my oil and my drink.

Porque sua mãe fornicou: aquella que os concebeu houve-se torpemente, porque diz: Irei atraz de meus namorados, que me dão o meu pão e a minha agua, a minha lã e o meu linho, o meu oleo e as minhas bebidas.

6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.

Portanto, eis que cercarei o teu caminho com espinhos; e levantarei uma parede de sebe, e não achará as suas veredas.

7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.

E irá em seguimento de seus amantes, mas não os alcançará; e buscal-os-ha, mas não os achará: então dirá: Ir-me-hei, e tornar-me-hei a meu primeiro marido, porque melhor me ia então do que agora.

8 For she did not know that I gave her grain, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.

Ella pois não reconhece que eu lhe dei o grão, e o mosto, e o oleo, e lhe multipliquei a prata e o oiro, do que usaram para Baal.

9 Therefore will I return, and take away my grain in its time, and my wine in its season, and I will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.

Portanto, tornar-me-hei, e a seu tempo tirarei o meu grão e o meu mosto ao seu determinado tempo; e arrebatarei a minha lã e o meu linho, que tinha dado para cobrir a sua nudez.

10 And now will I uncover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of my hand.

E agora descobrirei a sua vileza diante dos olhos dos seus namorados, e ninguem a livrará da minha mão.

11 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.

E farei cessar todo o seu gozo, as suas festas, as suas luas novas, e os seus sabbados, e todas as suas festividades.

12 And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, of which she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.

E assolarei a sua vide e a sua figueira, de que ella diz: Estas são a minha paga que me deram os meus amantes: eu pois farei d'ellas um bosque, e as bestas feras do campo as devorarão.

13 And I will judge her for the days of Baalim, in which she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgot me, saith the LORD.

E sobre ella visitarei os dias de Baal, em que lhe queimou incenso, e se adornou dos seus pendentes e das suas gargantilhas, e andou atraz de seus namorados, mas de mim se esqueceu, diz o Senhor.

14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak kindly to her.

Portanto, eis que eu a attrahirei, e a levarei para o deserto, e lhe fallarei ao coração.

15 And I will give her her vineyards there, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came from the land of Egypt.

E lhe darei as suas vinhas d'ali, e o valle de Achor, para porta de esperança; e ali cantará, como nos dias da sua mocidade, e como no dia em que subiu da terra do Egypto.

16 And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.

E será n'aquelle dia, diz o Senhor, que me chamarás: Meu marido; e não me chamarás mais: Meu Baal.

17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

E da sua bocca tirarei os nomes de Baalim, e os seus nomes não virão mais em memoria.

18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down in safety.

E n'aquelle dia lhes farei alliança com as bestas feras do campo, e com as aves do céu, e com os reptis da terra; e da terra quebrarei o arco, e a espada, e a guerra, e os farei deitar em segurança.

19 And I will betroth thee to me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee to me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.

E desposar-te-hei comigo para sempre: desposar-te-hei comigo em justiça, e em juizo, e em benignidade, e em misericordias.

20 I will even betroth thee to me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD.

E desposar-te-hei comigo em fidelidade, e conhecerás ao Senhor.

21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;

E acontecerá n'aquelle dia que eu responderei, diz o Senhor, eu responderei aos céus, e estes responderão á terra.

22 And the earth shall hear the grain, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.

E a terra ouvirá ao trigo, como tambem ao mosto, e ao oleo, e estes responderão a Jezreel.

23 And I will sow her to me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them who were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.

E semeal-a-hei para mim na terra, e apiedar-me-hei de Lo-ruhama; e a Lo-ammi direi: Tu és meu povo; e elle dirá: Ó meu Deus!
