Job 26

1 But Job answered and said,

UJobe wasephendula wathi:

2 How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?

“Usumsize njani ongelamandla! Usuyilamulele njani ingalo ebuthakathaka!

3 How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou abundantly declared the thing as it is?

Yiseluleko esinjani osusiphe lowo ongelakuhlakanipha! Njalo usubonise mbono bani!

4 To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?

Ngubani okuncedisileyo ukukhuluma amazwi la na? Ngokabani umoya okhulume ngomlomo wakho na?

5 Dead things are formed from under the waters, and its inhabitants.

Abafileyo basebuhlungwini obukhulu, labo abangaphansi kwamanzi lalabo abahlala kuwo.

6 Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering. (Sheol h7585)

UKufa kwambulekile phambi kukaNkulunkulu; ikhamisile indawo yokubhubha. (Sheol h7585)

7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

Uyawendlala umkhathi wenyakatho endaweni engelalutho; aphanyeke umhlaba phezu kweze.

8 He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not torn under them.

Ugoqele amanzi emayezini akhe, kodwa amayezi kawapatshaki yikusindwa ngamanzi.

9 He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.

Uyayigubuzela inyanga egcweleyo, endlale amayezi phezu kwayo.

10 He hath surrounded the waters with a border, until the day and night come to an end.

Umisa umkhawulo wokwengama umkhathi emanzini kube ngumngcele phakathi kokukhanya lobumnyama.

11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

Izinsika zamazulu ziyazamazama, zisethuswa yikukhuza kwakhe.

12 He divideth the sea by his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.

Ngamandla akhe waluthulisa ulwandle; ngenhlakanipho yakhe waquma uRahabi waba yiziqa.

13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

Ngomoya wakhe umkhathi wacethula; isandla sakhe sayigwaza inyoka ibaleka.

14 Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?

Njalo le yimisebenzi yakhe engaphandle nje ekucineni; esikuzwayo yilizwana nje lokunyenyeza kwakhe! Pho ngubani ongawuzwisisa umdumo wamandla akhe na?”
