Nehemiah 3
1 Then Eliashib the high priest arose with his brethren the priests, and they built the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even to the tower of Meah they sanctified it, to the tower of Hananeel.
És fölkelt Eljásib a főpap, meg testvérei a papok s építették a juhok kapuját, ők szentelték azt meg s felállították ajtóit; egészen a száznak tornyáig – azt megszentelték – s egészen a Chananél tornyáig.
2 And next to him built the men of Jericho. And next to them built Zaccur the son of Imri.
Oldala mellett építettek Jerichó emberei; s oldala mellett épített Zakkúr, Imri fia.
3 But the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build, who also laid its beams, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.
A halak kapuját építették Szenáa fiai, ők gerendázták azt s fölállították ajtóit, zárait és reteszeit.
4 And next to them repaired Meremoth the son of Urijah, the son of Koz. And next to them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabeel. And next to them repaired Zadok the son of Baana.
Mellettük erősködött Merémót, Urija fia, Hakócz fia; s mellettük erősködött Mesullám, Berekhja fia, Mesézabél fia; s mellettük erősködött Czádók, Báana fia.
5 And next to them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their Lord.
S mellettük erősködtek a Tekóabeliek; de hatalmasaik nem vitték be nyakukat Uruk szolgálatába.
6 Moreover the old gate repaired Jehoiada the son of Paseah, and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah; they laid its beams, and set up its doors, and its locks, and its bars.
Az óváros kapuján erősködtek Jojádá, Pászéach fia, és Mesullám, Beszódja fia; ők gerendázták azt s fölállították ajtóit, zárait és reteszeit.
7 And next to them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, to the throne of the governor on this side of the river.
S mellettük erősködött a gibeóni Melatja s a merónóti Jádón; Gibeón s Miczpa emberei, a Folyamontúl helytartójának székéhez valók.
8 Next to him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, of the goldsmiths. Next to him also repaired Hananiah the son of one of the perfumers, and they fortified Jerusalem to the broad wall.
Mellette erősködött Uzziél, Charhaja fia, ötvösök; s mellette erősködött Chananja, a kenőcskeverők közül való, s megerősítették Jeruzsálemet a széles falig.
9 And next to them repaired Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem.
És mellettük erősködött Refája, Chúr fia, Jeruzsálem kerülete felének főtisztje.
10 And next to them repaired Jedaiah the son of Harumaph, opposite his house. And next to him repaired Hattush the son of Hashabniah.
És mellettük erősködött Jedája Charúmaf fia, még pedig házával szemben; s mellette erősködött Chattús, Chasabneja fia.
11 Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hashub the son of Pahathmoab, repaired the other piece, and the tower of the furnaces.
Egy második szakaszon erősködött Malkija, Chárim fia s Chassúb, PáchatMóáb fia meg a kemencék tornyán.
12 And next to him repaired Shallum the son of Halohesh, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.
És mellette erősködött Sallúm, Hallóchés fia, Jeruzsálem kerülete felének főtisztje; ő s leányai.
13 The valley gate repaired Hanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and a thousand cubits on the wall to the dung gate.
A Völgy kapuján erősködött Chánún, meg Zánóach lakói; ők építették s fölállították ajtóit, zárait és reteszeit és ezer könyöknyit a falból, a szemét kapujáig.
14 But the dung gate repaired Malchiah the son of Rechab, the ruler of part of Bethhaccerem; he built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.
S a szemét kapuján erősködött Malkija, Rékháb fia, Bét-Hakérem kerületének főtisztje; ő építi s fölállítja ajtóit, zárait és reteszeit.
15 But the gate of the fountain repaired Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of part of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Siloah by the king’s garden, and to the stairs that descend from the city of David.
A forrás kapuján pedig erősködött Sallún, Kol-Chóze fia, Miczpa kerületének főtisztje; ő építi, betetőzi s fölállítja zárait és reteszeit és a falat a király kertjéhez való vízvezeték tavánál, egészen a lépcsőkig, a melyek leszállnak Dávid városából.
16 After him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of the half part of Bethzur, to the place opposite the sepulchres of David, and to the pool that was made, and to the house of the mighty.
Utána erősködött Nechemja, Azbúk fia, Bét-Czúr kerülete felének főtisztje, egészen Dávid sírja tájáig s egészen az elkészített tóig s a vitézek házáig.
17 After him repaired the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani. Next to him repaired Hashabiah, the ruler of the half part of Keilah, in his part.
Utána erősködtek a leviták: Rechúm, Báni fia; mellette erősködött Chasabja, Keíla kerülete felének főtisztje, kerületéért.
18 After him repaired their brethren, Bavai the son of Henadad, the ruler of the half part of Keilah.
Utána erősködtek testvéreik: Bavváj, Chénádád fia, Keíla kerülete felének főtisztje.
19 And next to him repaired Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, another piece opposite the ascent to the armoury at the turning of the wall.
És erősködött mellette Ézer, Jésúa fia, Miczpa főtisztje, egy második szakaszon, a fegyvertár följárója tájától a szögletig.
20 After him Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired the other piece, from the turning of the wall to the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.
Utána versenyezve erősködött Bárúkh Zakkáj fia, egy második szakaszon, a szöglettől Eljásib főpap házának bejáratáig.
21 After him repaired Meremoth the son of Urijah the son of Koz another piece, from the door of the house of Eliashib even to the end of the house of Eliashib.
Utána erősködött Merémót, Urija fia, Hakócz fia, egy második szakaszon, Eljásib házának bejáratától Eljásib házának végéig.
22 And after him repaired the priests, the men of the plain.
S utána erősködtek a papok, a Kerület emberei.
23 After him repaired Benjamin and Hashub opposite their house. After him repaired Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah by his house.
Utána erősködött Benjámin és Chassúb, házukkal szemben; utána erősködött Azarja, Máaszéja fia, Ananja fia, háza mellett.
24 After him repaired Binnui the son of Henadad another piece, from the house of Azariah to the turning of the wall, even to the corner.
Utána erősködött Binnúj, Chénádád fia, egy második szakaszon, Azarja házától egészen a szögletig s a sarokig.
25 Palal the son of Uzai, opposite the turning of the wall, and the projecting tower from the king’s upper house, that was by the court of the prison. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh.
Pálá1, Uzaj fia, a szöglet tájától és a felső tornyon, a mely kiszökik a király házából, mely az őrség udvarához való; utána Pedája, Pareós fia.
26 Moreover the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel, to the place opposite the water gate toward the east, and the projecting tower.
A szentélyszolgák pedig laktak az Ófelen, egészen a víz kapuja tájáig, kelet felé és a kiszökellő toronyig.
27 After them the Tekoites repaired another piece, opposite the great projecting tower, even to the wall of Ophel.
Utána erősködtek a Tekóabeliek egy második szakaszon, a kiszökellő nagy torony tájától egészen az Ófel faláig.
28 From above the horse gate repaired the priests, every one opposite his house.
A lovak kapuján fölül erősködtek a papok, kiki házával szemben.
29 After them repaired Zadok the son of Immer opposite his house. After him repaired also Shemaiah the son of Shechaniah, the keeper of the east gate.
Utána erősködött Czádók, Immér fia, házával szemben, s utána erősködött Semája, Sekhanja fia, a kelet kapujának őre.
30 After him repaired Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, another piece. After him repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah opposite his chamber.
Utána erősködött Chananja, Selemja fia és Chánún, Czáláfnak hatodik fia, egy második szakaszon; utána erősködött Mesullám, Berekhja fia, kamarájával szemben.
31 After him repaired Malchiah the goldsmith’s son to the place of the Nethinims, and of the merchants, opposite the gate Miphkad, and to the ascent of the corner.
Utána erősködött Malkija, az ötvösök közül való, a szentélyszolgák és a kalmárok házáig, szemben a felügyelet kapujával, egészen a sarok emeletéig.
32 And between the ascent of the corner to the sheep gate repaired the goldsmiths and the merchants.
A sarok emelete és a juhok kapuja között pedig erősködtek az ötvösök és a kalmárok.
