< 1 Peter 2 >

1 Wherefore, laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil-speakings,
Iwaksiyo ngarud ti amin a kinadakes, panangallilaw, panaginsisingpet, panagapal ken pammadpadakes.
2 As new-born babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
Kas kaipaspasngay a maladaga, nga agtarigagay iti puro a gatas a naespirituan, tapno dumakkelkayo iti pannakaisalakan babaen iti daytoy,
3 If indeed ye have tasted that the Lord [is] gracious.
no napadasyo a naimbag iti Apo.
4 To whom coming [as to] a living stone, disallowed indeed by men, but chosen by God, [and] precious,
Umasidegkayo kenkuana nga isu a sibibiag a bato a linaksid dagiti tattao, ngem pinili ti Dios ken napateg kenkuana.
5 Ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Maiyarigkayo met iti sibibiag a bato a naipatakder nga agbalin a maysa a balay a naespirituan, tapno agbalin a nasantoan a papadi a mangidaton kadagiti daton a naespirituan a makaay-ayo iti Dios babaen kenni Jesu-Cristo.
6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner-stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
Ta kinuna ti Nasantoan a Surat, “Adtoy, mangikabilak idiay Sion ti maysa a pasuli a bato, kangrunaan, napili ken napateg. Saanto a maibabain ti siasinoman a mamati kenkuana.”
7 To you therefore who believe [he is] precious: but to them who are disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
Ti dayaw ngarud ket para kadakayo a mamati. Ngem, “ti bato a linaksid dagiti agipatpatakder, nagbalin daytoy a kangrunaan iti suli”—
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense, [even to them] who stumble at the word, being disobedient: to which also they were appointed.
ken, “maysa a bato a pakaitibkulan ken maysa a dakkel a bato a pakaitublakan.” Maitibkulda, ta saanda a nagtulnog iti sao, nga isu met iti nakaitudinganda
9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
Ngem dakayo ti napili a puli, naarian a papadi, nasantoan a nasion, tattao a kukua ti Dios, tapno iwaragawagyo dagiti nakakaskasdaaw nga aramid ti nangayab kadakayo a rummuar manipud iti kasipngetan aginggana iti nakakaskasdaaw a lawagna.
10 Who in time past [were] not a people, but [are] now the people of God: who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Ta saankay idi a tattao ti Dios, ngem tattaonakayon ita. Saankayo a nakaassian, ngem nakaassiankayo itan.
11 Dearly beloved, I beseech [you] as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
Ay-ayatek, awagankayo a kas ganggannaet ken agdaldaliasat tapno liklikanyo ti managbasol a tarigagay, a manggubgubat iti kararuayo.
12 Having your manner of life honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evil-doers, they may by [your] good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Masapul nga addaankayo iti nasayaat a kababalin kadagiti Hentil, tapno no agsaritada iti maipanggep kadakayo kas nakaaramidda kadagiti dakes a banbanag, ket makitada dagiti nasayaat nga aramidyo ket idaydayawda iti Dios iti aldaw nga iyaayna.
13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether to the king, as supreme;
Agtulnogkayo iti tunggal turay iti tao a maigapu iti Apo, uray iti ari a kas kangatoan unay,
14 Or to governors, as to them that are sent by him for the punishment of evil-doers, and for the praise of them that do well.
uray dagiti gobernador a naibaon a mangdusa kadagiti agar-aramid ti kinadakes ken tapno mangidayaw kadagiti agaramid iti nasayaat.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well-doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
Ta isu ti pagayatan ti Dios, ta babaen ti panagar-aramidyo ti nasayaat ket pagulimekenyo ti awan serserbina a panagsao dagiti maag a tattao.
16 As free, and not using [your] liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
Kas nawayawayaan a tattao, saanyo a tagikuaen ti wayawayayo a kas pangabbong iti kinadakes, ngem agbalinkayo a kas adipen ti Dios.
17 Honor all [men]. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
Raemenyo ti amin a tattao. Ayatenyo dagiti kakabsat. Agbutengkayo iti Dios. Dayawenyo ti ari.
18 Servants, [be] subject to [your] masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
Dakayo nga adipen, paiturayankayo kadagiti amoyo nga addaan iti panagraem, saan laeng a dagiti nasayaat ken naanus nga amo, ngem kasta met dagiti nauunget.
19 For this [is] thank-worthy, if a man for conscience towards God endureth grief, suffering wrongfully.
Ta makaay-ayo iti Dios no makaibtur ti siasinoman iti rigat bayat nga agsagsagaba iti pannakaidadanes gapu iti konsensiana a maiturong iti Dios.
20 For what glory [is it], if, when ye are buffeted for your faults, ye bear it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer [for it], ye bear it patiently, this [is] acceptable with God.
Ta ania ti pakaidayawan no agbasolkayo ken agibturkayo bayat a madusdusa? Ngem no nakaaramidkayo iti nasayaat ket agsagabakayo iti pannakadusa, makaay-ayo daytoy iti Dios.
21 For even to this were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Ta naayabankayo a maipaay iti daytoy, gapu ta nagsagaba met ni Cristo gapu kadakayo, a nangibati kadakayo ti ulidan tapno surotenyo dagiti dalanna.
22 Who committed no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
Awan ti naaramidna a basol, awan ti nasarakan uray pay ania a panagulbod iti ngiwatna.
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed [himself] to him that judgeth righteously:
Idi naumsi isuna, saan isuna a bimmales a nangumsi. Idi nagsagaba isuna, saan namutbuteng, ngem intedna ti bagina iti mangukom a sililinteg.
24 Who himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live to righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.
Inawitna mismo dagiti basbasoltayo iti bagina idiay kayo, tapno awanen ti pasettayo iti basol, ken tapno agbiagtayo para iti kinalinteg. Naagasankayo babaen kadagiti sugatna.
25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned to the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
Naiyaw-awankayo amin a kasla mapukpukaw a karnero, ngem nagsublikayo itan iti pastor ken mangbanbantay kadagiti kararuayo.
