1 Thessalonians 5
1 But as to times and dates it is unnecessary that anything be written to you.
| اما‌ای برادران در خصوص وقتها و زمانها، احتیاج ندارید که به شما بنویسم. | ۱ |
2 For you yourselves know perfectly well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.
| زیراخود شما به تحقیق آگاهید که روز خداوند چون دزد در شب می‌آید. | ۲ |
3 While they are saying "Peace and safety!" then in a moment destruction falls upon them, like birth-pains on a woman who is with child; and escape there is none.
| زیرا هنگامی که می‌گویندسلامتی و امان است، آنگاه هلاکت ایشان راناگهان فرو خواهد گرفت، چون درد زه زن حامله را و هرگز رستگار نخواهند شد. | ۳ |
4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that daylight should surprise you like a thief;
| لیکن شما‌ای برادران در ظلمت نیستید تا آن روز چون دزد برشما آید، | ۴ |
5 for all of you are sons of Light and sons of the day. We belong neither to the night nor to darkness.
| زیرا جمیع شما پسران نور و پسران روز هستید، از شب و ظلمت نیستیم. | ۵ |
6 So then let us not sleep, like the rest of the world, but let us keep awake and be sober.
| بنابراین مثل دیگران به خواب نرویم بلکه بیدار و هشیارباشیم. | ۶ |
7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who drink freely, drink at night.
| زیرا خوابیدگان در شب می‌خوابند ومستان در شب مست می‌شوند. | ۷ |
8 But let us, belonging--as we do--to the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.
| لیکن ما که ازروز هستیم، هشیار بوده، جوشن ایمان و محبت وخود امید نجات را بپوشیم. | ۸ |
9 For God has not pre-destined us to meet His anger, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ;
| زیرا خدا ما را تعیین نکرد برای غضب بلکه بجهت تحصیل نجات، بوسیله خداوند ما عیسی مسیح، | ۹ |
10 who died on our behalf, so that whether we are awake or are sleeping we may share His Life.
| که برای مامرد تا خواه بیدار باشیم و خواه خوابیده، همراه وی زیست کنیم. | ۱۰ |
11 Therefore encourage one another, and let each one help to strengthen his friend, as in fact you do.
| پس همدیگر را تسلی دهیدو یکدیگر را بنا کنید، چنانکه هم می‌کنید. | ۱۱ |
12 Now we beg you, brethren, to show respect for those who labour among you and are your leaders in Christian work, and are your advisers;
| اما‌ای برادران به شما التماس داریم که بشناسید آنانی را که در میان شما زحمت می‌کشند و پیشوایان شما در خداوند بوده، شمارا نصیحت می‌کنند. | ۱۲ |
13 and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
| و ایشان را در نهایت محبت، به‌سبب عملشان محترم دارید و بایکدیگر صلح کنید. | ۱۳ |
14 And we exhort you, brethren, admonish the unruly, comfort the timid, sustain the weak, and be patient towards all.
| لیکن‌ای برادران، از شمااستدعا داریم که سرکشان را تنبیه نمایید وکوتاه دلان را دلداری دهید و ضعفا را حمایت کنید و با جمیع مردم تحمل کنید. | ۱۴ |
15 See to it that no one ever repays another with evil for evil; but always seek opportunities of doing good both to one another and to all the world.
| زنهار کسی با کسی به سزای بدی بدی نکند، بلکه دائم بایکدیگر و با جمیع مردم در‌پی نیکویی بکوشید. | ۱۵ |
16 Be always joyful.
| پیوسته شادمان باشید. | ۱۶ |
17 Be unceasing in prayer.
| همیشه دعا کنید. | ۱۷ |
18 In every circumstance of life be thankful; for this is God's will in Christ Jesus respecting you.
| در هر امری شاکر باشید که این است اراده خدادر حق شما در مسیح عیسی. | ۱۸ |
19 Do not quench the Spirit.
| روح را اطفامکنید. | ۱۹ |
20 Do not think meanly of utterances of prophecy;
| نبوتها را خوار مشمارید. | ۲۰ |
21 but test all such, and retain hold of the good.
| همه‌چیزرا تحقیق کنید، و به آنچه نیکو است متمسک باشید. | ۲۱ |
22 Hold yourselves aloof from every form of evil.
| از هر نوع بدی احتراز نمایید. | ۲۲ |
23 And may God Himself who gives peace, make you entirely holy; and may your spirits, souls and bodies be preserved complete and be found blameless at the Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
| اما خود خدای سلامتی، شما را بالکل مقدس گرداناد و روح و نفس و بدن شما تمام بی‌عیب محفوظ باشد در وقت آمدن خداوند ماعیسی مسیح. | ۲۳ |
24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He will also perfect His work.
| امین است دعوت کننده شما که این را هم خواهد کرد. | ۲۴ |
25 Brethren, pray for us.
| ای برادران، برای ما دعا کنید. | ۲۵ |
26 Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.
| جمیع برادران را به بوسه مقدسانه تحیت نمایید. | ۲۶ |
27 I solemnly charge you in the Lord's name to have this Letter read to all the brethren.
| شمارا به خداوند قسم می‌دهم که این رساله برای جمیع برادران مقدس خوانده شود. | ۲۷ |
28 May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
| فیض خداوند ما عیسی مسیح با شما بادآمین. | ۲۸ |
