Mark 10
1 He arose from there and came into the borders of Judea and beyond the Jordan. Multitudes came together to him again. As he usually did, he was again teaching them.
Ele surgiu de lá e entrou nas fronteiras da Judéia e além da Jordânia. As multidões voltaram a se encontrar com ele. Como ele costumava fazer, ele estava novamente ensinando-os.
2 Pharisees came to him testing him, and asked him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”
Os fariseus vieram até ele testando-o e lhe perguntaram: “É lícito para um homem divorciar-se de sua esposa”?
3 He answered, “What did Moses command you?”
Ele respondeu: “O que Moisés lhe ordenou”?
4 They said, “Moses allowed a certificate of divorce to be written, and to divorce her.”
Eles disseram: “Moisés permitiu que um certificado de divórcio fosse escrito, e que ela se divorciasse”.
5 But Jesus said to them, “For your hardness of heart, he wrote you this commandment.
Mas Jesus lhes disse: “Por vossa dureza de coração, ele vos escreveu este mandamento”.
6 But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female.
Mas, desde o início da criação, Deus os fez macho e fêmea.
7 For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife,
Por esta causa um homem deixará seu pai e sua mãe, e se unirá à sua esposa,
8 and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.
e os dois se tornarão uma só carne, para que não sejam mais dois, mas uma só carne.
9 What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”
O que, portanto, Deus uniu, que nenhum homem separe”.
10 In the house, his disciples asked him again about the same matter.
Na casa, seus discípulos lhe perguntaram novamente sobre o mesmo assunto.
11 He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.
Ele lhes disse: “Quem se divorciar de sua esposa e casar com outra comete adultério contra ela”.
12 If a woman herself divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”
Se a própria mulher se divorcia do marido e casa com outro, comete adultério”.
13 They were bringing to him little children, that he should touch them, but the disciples rebuked those who were bringing them.
Eles estavam trazendo para ele crianças pequenas, para que ele as tocasse, mas os discípulos repreenderam aqueles que as estavam trazendo.
14 But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation and said to them, “Allow the little children to come to me! Don’t forbid them, for God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these.
Mas quando Jesus viu isso, ficou indignado e disse-lhes: “Deixem as criancinhas vir até mim! Não os proíba, pois o Reino de Deus pertence a tais crianças.
15 Most certainly I tell you, whoever will not receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”
Certamente eu lhes digo, quem não receber o Reino de Deus como uma criancinha, de modo algum entrará nele”.
16 He took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.
Ele os tomou em seus braços e os abençoou, impondo suas mãos sobre eles.
17 As he was going out into the way, one ran to him, knelt before him, and asked him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
Quando ele estava indo para o caminho, correu para ele, ajoelhou-se diante dele e perguntou-lhe: “Bom Mestre, o que devo fazer para herdar a vida eterna?”. (aiōnios g166)
18 Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except one—God.
Jesus lhe disse: “Por que você me chama de bom? Ninguém é bom, exceto um deus.
19 You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not give false testimony,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and mother.’”
Você conhece os mandamentos: 'Não matar', 'Não cometer adultério', 'Não roubar', 'Não dar falso testemunho', 'Não defraudar', 'Honrar seu pai e sua mãe'”.
20 He said to him, “Teacher, I have observed all these things from my youth.”
Ele lhe disse: “Professor, tenho observado todas essas coisas desde minha juventude”.
21 Jesus looking at him loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking up the cross.”
Jesus, olhando para ele, o amou e lhe disse: “Uma coisa lhe falta”. Vá, venda o que tiver e dê aos pobres, e terá um tesouro no céu; e venha, siga-me, pegue a cruz”.
22 But his face fell at that saying, and he went away sorrowful, for he was one who had great possessions.
Mas o rosto dele caiu diante daquele ditado, e ele foi embora triste, pois era um homem que tinha grandes posses.
23 Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it is for those who have riches to enter into God’s Kingdom!”
Jesus olhou ao redor e disse a seus discípulos: “Como é difícil para aqueles que têm riquezas entrar no Reino de Deus”!
24 The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answered again, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter into God’s Kingdom!
Os discípulos ficaram maravilhados com suas palavras. Mas Jesus respondeu novamente: “Filhos, como é difícil para aqueles que confiam nas riquezas entrar no Reino de Deus!
25 It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter into God’s Kingdom.”
É mais fácil para um camelo atravessar o olho de uma agulha do que para um homem rico entrar no Reino de Deus”.
26 They were exceedingly astonished, saying to him, “Then who can be saved?”
Eles ficaram extremamente surpresos, dizendo a ele: “Então quem pode ser salvo?”
27 Jesus, looking at them, said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”
Jesus, olhando para eles, disse: “Com os homens é impossível, mas não com Deus, pois todas as coisas são possíveis com Deus”.
28 Peter began to tell him, “Behold, we have left all and have followed you.”
Peter começou a dizer-lhe: “Eis que deixamos tudo e te seguimos”.
29 Jesus said, “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for my sake, and for the sake of the Good News,
Jesus disse: “Certamente vos digo que não há ninguém que tenha deixado casa, ou irmãos, ou irmãs, ou pai, ou mãe, ou esposa, ou filhos, ou terra, por minha causa, e por causa da Boa Nova,
31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”
Mas muitos que são os primeiros serão os últimos, e os últimos serão os primeiros”.
32 They were on the way, going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going in front of them, and they were amazed; and those who followed were afraid. He again took the twelve, and began to tell them the things that were going to happen to him.
Eles estavam a caminho, subindo para Jerusalém; e Jesus estava indo na frente deles, e eles ficaram espantados; e os que os seguiram ficaram com medo. Ele pegou novamente os doze e começou a contar-lhes as coisas que iriam acontecer com ele.
33 “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death, and will deliver him to the Gentiles.
“Eis que vamos subir a Jerusalém”. O Filho do Homem será entregue aos chefes dos sacerdotes e aos escribas”. Eles o condenarão à morte, e o entregarão aos gentios.
34 They will mock him, spit on him, scourge him, and kill him. On the third day he will rise again.”
Eles o escarnecerão, cuspirão nele, o açoitarão e o matarão. Ao terceiro dia, ele se levantará novamente”.
35 James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came near to him, saying, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we will ask.”
James e John, os filhos de Zebedee, aproximaram-se dele, dizendo: “Professor, queremos que você faça por nós o que pedirmos”.
36 He said to them, “What do you want me to do for you?”
Ele lhes disse: “O que vocês querem que eu faça por vocês?”.
37 They said to him, “Grant to us that we may sit, one at your right hand and one at your left hand, in your glory.”
Disseram-lhe: “Concede-nos que possamos sentar-nos, um à sua direita e outro à sua esquerda, em sua glória”.
38 But Jesus said to them, “You don’t know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”
Mas Jesus disse a eles: “Vocês não sabem o que estão pedindo”. Vocês podem beber o cálice que eu bebo, e ser batizados com o batismo que eu sou batizado”?
39 They said to him, “We are able.” Jesus said to them, “You shall indeed drink the cup that I drink, and you shall be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with;
Eles lhe disseram: “Nós somos capazes”. Jesus lhes disse: “Bebereis de fato o cálice que eu bebo, e sereis batizados com o batismo com que eu sou batizado;
40 but to sit at my right hand and at my left hand is not mine to give, but for whom it has been prepared.”
mas sentar-me à minha mão direita e à minha mão esquerda não é meu para dar, mas para quem ele foi preparado”.
41 When the ten heard it, they began to be indignant toward James and John.
Quando os dez ouviram isso, começaram a ficar indignados com James e John.
42 Jesus summoned them and said to them, “You know that they who are recognized as rulers over the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.
Jesus os convocou e lhes disse: “Vós sabeis que aqueles que são reconhecidos como governantes sobre as nações os dominam, e os seus grandes exercem autoridade sobre eles”.
43 But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant.
Mas não será assim entre vós, mas aquele que quiser tornar-se grande entre vós será vosso servo.
44 Whoever of you wants to become first among you shall be bondservant of all.
Quem de vós quiser ser o primeiro entre vós, será servo de todos.
45 For the Son of Man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Pois o Filho do Homem também não veio para ser servido, mas para servir, e para dar sua vida em resgate por muitos”.
46 They came to Jericho. As he went out from Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road.
Eles vieram para Jericó. Quando ele saiu de Jericó com seus discípulos e uma grande multidão, o filho de Timeu, Bartimeu, um mendigo cego, estava sentado à beira da estrada.
47 When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”
Quando ouviu que era Jesus, o Nazareno, começou a gritar e dizer: “Jesus, filho de Davi, tem piedade de mim”!
48 Many rebuked him, that he should be quiet, but he cried out much more, “You son of David, have mercy on me!”
Muitos o repreenderam, para que se calasse, mas ele gritou muito mais: “Filho de Davi, tem piedade de mim”!
49 Jesus stood still and said, “Call him.” They called the blind man, saying to him, “Cheer up! Get up. He is calling you!”
Jesus parou e disse: “Chame-o”. Eles chamaram o cego, dizendo a ele: “Anime-se! Levantem-se. Ele está chamando você”!
50 He, casting away his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.
Ele, jogando fora seu manto, saltou, e veio até Jesus.
51 Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man said to him, “Rabboni, that I may see again.”
Jesus lhe perguntou: “O que você quer que eu faça por você”? O cego disse-lhe: “Rabboni, que eu possa ver novamente”.
52 Jesus said to him, “Go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the way.
Jesus lhe disse: “Siga seu caminho”. Sua fé lhe fez bem”. Imediatamente ele recebeu sua visão e seguiu Jesus no caminho.
