2 Corinthians 4
1 Therefore, seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we don’t faint.
Por esta razón, viendo que se nos ha encargado este ministerio, por la misericordia que se nos ha dado, no nos desanimamos;
2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
Y hemos renunciado las cosas vergonzosas que se hacen en secreto, y no haciendo uso de la palabra de Dios con astucia y engaños; pero por la revelación de lo que es verdadero, y de esta manera nos recomendamos a la conciencia de todos delante de Dios.
3 Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who are dying,
Pero si nuestro evangelio sigue con el velo; es oscuro, lo es solamente para los que se pierden:
4 in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Messiah, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. (aiōn g165)
porque el dios de este mundo ha hecho cegar las mentes de los que no creen, de modo que la luz del evangelio de la gloria de Cristo, que es la imagen de Dios, no les resplandezca. (aiōn g165)
5 For we don’t proclaim ourselves, but Messiah Yeshua as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Yeshua’s sake,
Porque nuestra predicación no es sobre nosotros mismos, sino acerca de Cristo Jesús como Señor, y de nosotros mismos como sus siervos por medio de Jesús.
6 seeing it is God who said, “Light will shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Yeshua the Messiah.
Al ver que es Dios quien dijo: “Que la luz brille de la oscuridad, es él que ha hecho brotar La Luz en nuestro corazón para la iluminación del conocimiento de la gloria de Dios en el rostro de Jesucristo”.
7 But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves.
Pero tenemos este tesoro en vasos de tierra, para que se vea que la extraordinaria grandeza de poder no proviene de nosotros, sino De Dios.
8 We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair;
Nos atribulan por todos lados, pero no estamos angustiados; en apuros, mas no desesperados;
9 pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed;
Estamos cruelmente atacados, pero no desamparados; derribados, pero no destruidos;
10 always carrying in the body the putting to death of the Lord Yeshua, that the life of Yeshua may also be revealed in our body.
En nuestros cuerpos siempre hay la marca de la muerte de Jesús, para que la vida de Jesús se manifieste también en nuestros cuerpos.
11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Yeshua’s sake, that the life also of Yeshua may be revealed in our mortal flesh.
Porque, mientras vivimos, todavía estamos siendo entregados a la muerte por causa de Jesús, para que la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestra carne mortal.
12 So then death works in us, but life in you.
Entonces, la muerte está trabajando en nosotros, pero la vida en ustedes.
13 But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, “I believed, and therefore I spoke.” We also believe, and therefore we also speak,
Pero teniendo el mismo espíritu de fe, como está dicho en las Escrituras, creí Por lo cual hable, de la misma manera, nosotros también creemos; por lo cual también hablamos,
14 knowing that he who raised the Lord Yeshua will raise us also with Yeshua, and will present us with you.
Porque estamos seguros de que el que hizo al Señor Jesús resucitará de los muertos, hará lo mismo por nosotros, y nos presentará juntamente con ustedes.
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the grace, being multiplied through the many, may cause the thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
Porque pasamos por todas las cosas por amor a ustedes, para que, siendo muchas las bendiciones de Dios, muchos Sean los que le den gracias para la gloria de Dios.
16 Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day.
Por lo cual; no desanimemos, pues aunque nuestro hombre exterior se está volviendo más débil, nuestro hombre interior se rejuvenece día tras día.
17 For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory, (aiōnios g166)
Porque nuestra leve aflicción actual, que es solo por un corto tiempo, produce en nosotros un cada vez más excelente y eterno peso de gloria; (aiōnios g166)
18 while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (aiōnios g166)
Aunque nuestras mentes no están en lo que se ve, sino en lo que no se ve; porque las cosas que se ven son pasajeras; pero las cosas que no se ven son eternas. (aiōnios g166)
