< 2 Peter 3 >

1 This is now, beloved, the second letter that I have written to you; and in both of them I stir up your sincere mind by reminding you
Loqꞌalaj taq alaxik, are wa ri ukabꞌ wuj ri kintzꞌibꞌaj chiꞌwe. Pa ukobꞌchal we wuj riꞌ nunaꞌtam chiꞌwe rech qas rukꞌ ichomabꞌal
2 that you should remember the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets and the commandment of us, the emissaries of the Lord and Saviour,
kanaꞌtaj chiꞌwe ri kitzij ri tyoxalaj taq e qꞌalajisal taq rech ri utzij ri Dios ri xkitzijoj loq ojer xuqujeꞌ ri utaqanik ri Ajawxel qaKolonel ri xkitzijoj ri uꞌtaqoꞌn.
3 knowing this first, that in the last days mockers will come, walking after their own lusts
Chiwetaꞌmaj kꞌut chi pa taq ri kꞌisbꞌal taq qꞌij kepe na winaq ri kakiyak kitzeꞌ chiꞌwij, xuqujeꞌ are kakitereneꞌj ri itzel taq kirayinik, kakibꞌij:
4 and saying, “Where is the promise of his coming? For, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”
¿La man kꞌu xubꞌij kanoq ri Cristo chi katzalij na loq? Maj jawjeꞌ kꞌo wi leꞌ. Ri e qatat qanan xekam bꞌik, maj kꞌexkꞌobꞌinaq che ronojel le jastaq, xaq je ubꞌanik jetaq ri xtikitaj loq ojer.
5 For they wilfully forget that there were heavens from of old, and an earth formed out of water and amid water by the word of God,
Kakibꞌano chi kasachan chike ri xubꞌan ri utzij ri Dios ojer. Xa rumal ri utzij xtiktaj loq ri kaj xuqujeꞌ ri ulew, xuqujeꞌ ri jaꞌ.
6 by which means the world that existed then, being overflowed with water, perished.
Are ri tzij rachiꞌl ri jaꞌ, xbꞌanowik chi xejiqꞌ ri winaq ri e kꞌo ojer.
7 But the heavens that exist now and the earth, by the same word have been stored up for fire, being reserved against the day of judgement and destruction of ungodly men.
Kamik kꞌut, xa rumal ri tzij, ri kaj rachiꞌl ri ulew e yaktal na rech keporoxik are kuriq ri uqꞌijal kaqꞌat na tzij pa kiwiꞌ konojel ri itzel taq winaq.
8 But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Loqꞌalaj taj wachalal, masachan kꞌut chiꞌwe chi jun qꞌij jer kꞌo jun mil junabꞌ choch ri Ajawxel xuqujeꞌ jun mil junabꞌ je ri kꞌo jun qꞌij.
9 The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Ri Dios man kabꞌeyetaj taj chubꞌanik ri utzujum kanoq, pune e kꞌi kebꞌinik chi xa bꞌeyetajinaq. Ri Dios ixrayeꞌm na, rumal cher man karaj taj chi kꞌo jun kasach kanoq xane konojel kakikꞌex na kikꞌuꞌx.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat; and the earth and the works that are in it will be burnt up.
11 Therefore, since all these things will be destroyed like this, what kind of people ought you to be in holy living and godliness,
Ronojel katukix na, rumal riꞌ choqꞌaqꞌ kikꞌaslebꞌej jun chꞌajchꞌoj laj kꞌaslemal jetaq ri karaj ri Dios
12 looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of God, which will cause the burning heavens to be dissolved, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
rech jeriꞌ kiwayeꞌj ri qꞌij rech ri upetibꞌal ri Dios. Che ri qꞌij riꞌ, rukꞌ qꞌaqꞌ ketukix na ri kaj, kejaꞌrisax na.
13 But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
Ri Cristo kꞌut xutzuj kanoq kꞌakꞌ taq kaj xuqujeꞌ kꞌakꞌ ulew jawjeꞌ kabꞌan wi na ri sukꞌal.
14 Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for these things, be diligent to be found in peace, without defect and blameless in his sight.
Rumal riꞌ, loqꞌalaj taq wachalal, utz majaꞌ kakꞌulmataj taq we jastaq riꞌ, chibꞌana ichuqꞌabꞌ rech are kape ri Dios man ix chꞌuluj taj kixuluriqaꞌ xane maj imak xuqujeꞌ utz ibꞌanik rukꞌ areꞌ.
15 Regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote to you,
Naꞌtaj chiꞌwe chi ri Ajawxel man petinaq ta na, rumal rayeꞌm kekolotaj konojel, jetaq kubꞌij ri xutzꞌibꞌaj ri alaxik Pablo, rukꞌ ri etaꞌmanik ri xya che rumal ri Dios.
16 as also in all of his letters, speaking in them of these things. In those, there are some things that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unsettled twist, as they also do to the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
Pa ronojel ri uwuj ri Pablo xtzijon chirij ri upetibꞌal ri Cristo, pune kꞌo jastaq ri kꞌax uchꞌobꞌik, are kꞌu ri winaq ri maj ketaꞌmabꞌal kakikꞌex ubꞌixik we tzij riꞌ, je kakibꞌan che ronojel ri utzij ri Dios, nimalaj kꞌax kꞌu na kape pa kiwiꞌ we winaq ri jeriꞌ kakibꞌano.
17 You therefore, beloved, knowing these things beforehand, beware, lest being carried away with the error of the wicked, you fall from your own steadfastness.
Xaq jeriꞌ, loqꞌalaj taq wachalal, iwetaꞌm chi loq waꞌ we riꞌ, ko bꞌa chixkꞌoloq, miya bꞌe kixjururex bꞌik chubꞌanik ri mak rech ri tyoꞌjal, rech man kixel ta kanoq pa ri tunal.
18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Yeshua the Messiah. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Xane kixkꞌiy pa ri toqꞌobꞌ xuqujeꞌ ri etaꞌmanik rech ri Ajawxel qaKolonel Jesucristo. Che areꞌ yaꞌtal wi ri juluwem kamik xuqujeꞌ ronojel qꞌij. Jeriꞌ. (aiōn g165)
