Joshua 15
1 The lot for the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families was to the border of Edom, even to the wilderness of Zin southward, at the uttermost part of the south.
യെഹൂദാമക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ ഓഹരി തെക്കെദേശത്തിന്റെ തെക്കെ അറ്റത്തു എദോമിന്റെ അതിരായ സീൻമരുഭൂമിവരെ തന്നേ.
2 Their south border was from the uttermost part of the Salt Sea, from the bay that looks southward;
അവരുടെ തെക്കെ അതിർ ഉപ്പുകടലിന്റെ അറ്റംമുതൽ തെക്കോട്ടു നീണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഇടക്കടൽമുതൽതന്നേ ആയിരുന്നു.
3 and it went out southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and went up by the south of Kadesh Barnea, and passed along by Hezron, went up to Addar, and turned towards Karka;
അതു അക്രബ്ബീംകയറ്റത്തിന്നു തെക്കോട്ടു ചെന്നു സീനിലേക്കു കടന്നു കാദേശ് ബൎന്നേയയുടെ തെക്കുകൂടി കയറി ഹെസ്രോൻ കടന്നു ആദാരിലേക്കു കയറി കാൎക്കയിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു
4 and it passed along to Azmon, went out at the brook of Egypt; and the border ended at the sea. This shall be your south border.
അസ്മോനിലേക്കു കടന്നു മിസ്രയീംതോടുവരെ ചെല്ലുന്നു; ആ അതിർ സമുദ്രത്തിങ്കൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു; ഇതു നിങ്ങളുടെ തെക്കെ അതിർ ആയിരിക്കേണം.
5 The east border was the Salt Sea, even to the end of the Jordan. The border of the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the end of the Jordan.
കിഴക്കെ അതിർ യോൎദ്ദാന്റെ അഴിമുഖംവരെ ഉപ്പുകടൽ തന്നേ; വടക്കെ അതിർ യോൎദ്ദാന്റെ അഴിമുഖമായ
6 The border went up to Beth Hoglah, and passed along by the north of Beth Arabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
ഇടക്കടൽ തുടങ്ങി ബേത്ത്-ഹൊഗ്ലയിലേക്കു കയറി ബേത്ത്-അരാബയുടെ വടക്കുകൂടി കടന്നു, രൂബേന്റെ മകനായ ബോഹാന്റെ കല്ലുവരെ കയറിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു.
7 The border went up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking towards Gilgal, that faces the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the river. The border passed along to the waters of En Shemesh, and ended at En Rogel.
പിന്നെ ആ അതിർ ആഖോർതാഴ്‌വരമുതൽ ദെബീരിലേക്കു കയറി വടക്കോട്ടു തോട്ടിന്റെ തെക്കുവശത്തുള്ള അദുമ്മീംകയറ്റത്തിന്നെതിരെയുള്ള ഗില്ഗാലിന്നു ചെന്നു ഏൻ-ശേമെശ് വെള്ളത്തിങ്കലേക്കു കടന്നു ഏൻ-രോഗേലിങ്കൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു.
8 The border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom to the side of the Jebusite (also called Jerusalem) southward; and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lies before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the farthest part of the valley of Rephaim northward.
പിന്നെ ആ അതിർ ബെൻ-ഹിന്നോംതാഴ്‌വരയിൽകൂടി കയറി യെരൂശലേം എന്ന യെബൂസ്യഗിരിയുടെ തെക്കോട്ടു കടന്നു ഹിന്നോംതാഴ്‌വരയുടെ മുമ്പിൽ പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടും രെഫായീംതാഴ്‌വരയുടെ അറ്റത്തു വടക്കോട്ടും ഉള്ള മലയുടെ മുകളിലേക്കു കയറിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു.
9 The border extended from the top of the mountain to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of Mount Ephron; and the border extended to Baalah (also called Kiriath Jearim);
പിന്നെ ആ അതിർ മലയുടെ മുകളിൽനിന്നു നെപ്തോഹയിലെ നീരുറവിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു എഫ്രോൻമലയിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങൾവരെ ചെന്നു കിൎയ്യത്ത്-യെയാരീം എന്ന ബാലയിലേക്കു തിരിയുന്നു.
10 and the border turned about from Baalah westward to Mount Seir, and passed along to the side of Mount Jearim (also called Chesalon) on the north, and went down to Beth Shemesh, and passed along by Timnah;
പിന്നെ ആ അതിർ ബാലാമുതൽ പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടു സേയീർമലവരെ തിരിഞ്ഞു കെസാലോൻ എന്ന യെയാരീംമലയുടെ പാൎശ്വംവരെ വടക്കോട്ടു കടന്നു, ബേത്ത്-ശേമെശിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങി തിമ്നയിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുന്നു.
11 and the border went out to the side of Ekron northward; and the border extended to Shikkeron, and passed along to Mount Baalah, and went out at Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.
പിന്നെ ആ അതിർ വടക്കോട്ടു എക്രോന്റെ പാൎശ്വംവരെ ചെന്നു ശിക്രോനിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു ബാലാമലയിലേക്കു കടന്നു യബ്നേലിൽ ചെന്നു സമുദ്രത്തിങ്കൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു.
12 The west border was to the shore of the great sea. This is the border of the children of Judah according to their families.
പടിഞ്ഞാറെ അതിർ നെടുകെ മഹാസമുദ്രം തന്നേ; ഇതു യെഹൂദാമക്കൾക്കു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള അതിർ.
13 He gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh a portion amongst the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even Kiriath Arba, named after the father of Anak (also called Hebron).
യഹോവ യോശുവയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവൻ യെഫുന്നെയുടെ മകനായ കാലേബിന്നു യെഹൂദാമക്കളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഓഹരിയായിട്ടു അനാക്കിന്റെ അപ്പനായ അൎബ്ബയുടെ പട്ടണമായ ഹെബ്രോൻ കൊടുത്തു.
14 Caleb drove out the three sons of Anak: Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.
അവിടെനിന്നു കാലേബ് അനാക്കിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ശേശായി, അഹീമാൻ, തൽമായി എന്നീ മൂന്നു അനാക്യരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.
15 He went up against the inhabitants of Debir: now the name of Debir before was Kiriath Sepher.
അവിടെനിന്നു അവൻ ദെബീർനിവാസികളുടെ നേരെ ചെന്നു; ദെബീരിന്റെ പേർ മുമ്പെ കിൎയ്യത്ത്-സേഫെർ എന്നായിരുന്നു.
16 Caleb said, “He who strikes Kiriath Sepher, and takes it, to him I will give Achsah my daughter as wife.”
കിൎയ്യത്ത്-സേഫെർ ജയിക്കുന്നവന്നു ഞാൻ എന്റെ മകൾ അക്സയെ ഭാൎയ്യയായി കൊടുക്കും എന്നു കാലേബ് പറഞ്ഞു.
17 Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter as wife.
കാലേബിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ കെനസിന്റെ മകൻ ഒത്നീയേൽ അതിനെ പിടിച്ചു; അവൻ തന്റെ മകൾ അക്സയെ അവന്നു ഭാൎയ്യയായി കൊടുത്തു.
18 When she came, she had him ask her father for a field. She got off her donkey, and Caleb said, “What do you want?”
അവൾ വന്നാറെ തന്റെ അപ്പനോടു ഒരു നിലം ചോദിപ്പാൻ അവനെ ഉത്സാഹിപ്പിച്ചു; അവൾ കഴുതപ്പുറത്തുനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ കാലേബ് അവളോടു: നിനക്കു എന്തുവേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
19 She said, “Give me a blessing. Because you have set me in the land of the South, give me also springs of water.” So he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.
എനിക്കു ഒരു അനുഗ്രഹം തരേണം; നീ എന്നെ തെക്കെ ദേശത്തേക്കല്ലോ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു; നീരുറവുകളെയുംകൂടെ എനിക്കു തരേണം എന്നു അവൾ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു അവൻ അവൾക്കു മലയിലും താഴ്‌വരയിലും നീരുറവുകളെ കൊടുത്തു.
20 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.
യെഹൂദാഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശം ഇതത്രേ.
21 The farthest cities of the tribe of the children of Judah towards the border of Edom in the South were Kabzeel, Eder, Jagur,
എദോമിന്റെ അതിൎക്കരികെ തെക്കെ അറ്റത്തു യെഹൂദാഗോത്രത്തിന്നുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങൾ: കെബ്സെയേൽ, ഏദെർ, യാഗൂർ,
22 Kinah, Dimonah, Adadah,
കീന, ദിമോന, അദാദ,
23 Kedesh, Hazor, Ithnan,
കേദെശ്, ഹാസോർ, യിത്നാൻ,
24 Ziph, Telem, Bealoth,

33 In the lowland, Eshtaol, Zorah, Ashnah,

46 from Ekron even to the sea, all that were by the side of Ashdod, with their villages.

47 Ashdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages; to the brook of Egypt, and the great sea with its coastline.

62 Nibshan, the City of Salt, and En Gedi; six cities with their villages.
നിബ്ശാൻ, ഈർ-ഹമേലഹ്, ഏൻ-ഗെദി; ഇങ്ങനെ ആറു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും.
63 As for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah couldn’t drive them out; but the Jebusites live with the children of Judah at Jerusalem to this day.
യെരൂശലേമിൽ പാൎത്തിരുന്ന യെബൂസ്യരെയോ യെഹൂദാമക്കൾക്കു നീക്കിക്കളവാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; അങ്ങനെ യെബൂസ്യർ ഇന്നുവരെ യെഹൂദാമക്കളോടുകൂടെ യെരൂശലേമിൽ പാൎത്തുവരുന്നു.
