Psalms 105
1 Give thanks to the LORD! Call on his name! Make his doings known amongst the peoples.
¡Alabado sea el Señor! den honor a su nombre, hablando de sus obras entre los pueblos.
2 Sing to him, sing praises to him! Tell of all his marvellous works.
Deje que su voz suene en canciones y melodía; deja que todos tus pensamientos sean de la maravilla de sus obras.
3 Glory in his holy name. Let the heart of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
Ten la gloria en su santo nombre; que los corazones de aquellos que están buscando al Señor estén contentos.
4 Seek the LORD and his strength. Seek his face forever more.
Que tu búsqueda sea para el Señor y para su fortaleza; deja que tus corazones vuelvan a él.
5 Remember his marvellous works that he has done: his wonders, and the judgements of his mouth,
Recuerden las grandes obras que ha hecho; sus maravillas y las decisiones de su boca;
6 you offspring of Abraham, his servant, you children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
Oh descendencia de Abraham, su siervo, hijos de Jacob, sus amados.
7 He is the LORD, our God. His judgements are in all the earth.
Él es el Señor nuestro Dios; él es el juez de toda la tierra.
8 He has remembered his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,
Ha guardado para siempre su pacto, la palabra que dio por mil generaciones;
9 the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac,
El acuerdo que hizo con Abraham, y su juramento a Isaac;
10 and confirmed it to Jacob for a statute; to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
Y la dio a Jacob por ley, y a Israel por eterno acuerdo;
11 saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance,”
Diciendo: A ti daré la tierra de Canaán, como herencia que te toca.
12 when they were but a few men in number, yes, very few, and foreigners in it.
Cuando todavía eran pequeños en número, y extraños en la tierra;
13 They went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.
Cuando anduvieron de una nación a otra, y de un reino a otro pueblo.
14 He allowed no one to do them wrong. Yes, he reproved kings for their sakes,
Él no dejaría que nadie los hiciera mal; incluso advirtió a reyes,
15 “Don’t touch my anointed ones! Do my prophets no harm!”
Diciendo: No pongas tu mano sobre los que han sido marcados con mi aceite santo, y no hagan mal a mis profetas.
16 He called for a famine on the land. He destroyed the food supplies.
Y quitó toda la comida de la tierra, y la gente quedó sin pan.
17 He sent a man before them. Joseph was sold for a slave.
Envió un hombre delante de ellos, a José, que fue dado como siervo por un precio:
18 They bruised his feet with shackles. His neck was locked in irons,
Sus pies estaban fijos en cadenas; su cuello fue puesto en la cárcel;
19 until the time that his word happened, and the LORD’s word proved him true.
Hasta el momento en que su palabra se hizo realidad; fue probado por la palabra del Señor.
20 The king sent and freed him, even the ruler of peoples, and let him go free.
El rey envió hombres a quitar sus cadenas; el gobernante de la gente, que lo dejó en libertad.
21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all of his possessions,
Lo hizo señor de su casa y gobernador de todo lo que tenía;
22 to discipline his princes at his pleasure, and to teach his elders wisdom.
Para dar a sus jefes que enseñanza a su placer, y para que sus legisladores puedan obtener la sabiduría de él.
23 Israel also came into Egypt. Jacob lived in the land of Ham.
Entonces Israel vino a Egipto, y Jacob estaba viviendo en la tierra de Cam.
24 He increased his people greatly, and made them stronger than their adversaries.
Y su pueblo se engrandeció grandemente, y se hizo más fuerte que los que estaban contra ellos.
25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to conspire against his servants.
Sus corazones se volvieron para odiar a su pueblo, por lo que hicieron designios secretos contra ellos.
26 He sent Moses, his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.
Envió a Moisés, su siervo, y Aarón, el hombre de su elección.
27 They performed miracles amongst them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
Hizo ver sus señales entre el pueblo y sus maravillas en la tierra de Cam.
28 He sent darkness, and made it dark. They didn’t rebel against his words.
Envió noche negra y oscureció; y ellos no fueron en contra de su palabra.
29 He turned their waters into blood, and killed their fish.
Según su palabra, sus aguas se convirtieron en sangre, y él envió la muerte sobre todos sus peces.
30 Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the rooms of their kings.
Su tierra estaba llena de ranas, incluso en las habitaciones del rey.
31 He spoke, and swarms of flies came, and lice in all their borders.
El dio la palabra, y vino la mosca del perro, y los insectos sobre toda la tierra.
32 He gave them hail for rain, with lightning in their land.
Les dio hielo para la lluvia y fuego ardiente en su tierra.
33 He struck their vines and also their fig trees, and shattered the trees of their country.
Y destruyó sus viñas y sus higueras, y destruyeron los árboles de su tierra.
34 He spoke, and the locusts came with the grasshoppers, without number.
Por su palabra vinieron langostas, y langostas jóvenes más de las que pueden ser contadas,
35 They ate up every plant in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.
Y pusieron fin a todas las plantas de su tierra, y se comieron todos los frutos de la tierra.
36 He struck also all the firstborn in their land, the first fruits of all their manhood.
Él mató al primer hijo de cada familia en la tierra, los primeros frutos de su fuerza.
37 He brought them out with silver and gold. There was not one feeble person amongst his tribes.
Sacó a su pueblo con plata y oro; no había entre ellos persona débil.
38 Egypt was glad when they departed, for the fear of them had fallen on them.
Egipto se alegró cuando se fueron; porque el temor de ellos había caído sobre ellos.
39 He spread a cloud for a covering, fire to give light in the night.
Una nube se extendía sobre ellos para cubrirse; y él envió fuego para dar luz en la noche.
40 They asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of the sky.
A petición del pueblo, envió pájaros y les dio el pan del cielo como alimento.
41 He opened the rock, and waters gushed out. They ran as a river in the dry places.
Su mano hizo abrir la roca, y las aguas brotaron; descendieron por los lugares secos como un río.
42 For he remembered his holy word, and Abraham, his servant.
Porque él tuvo presente su santa palabra, y Abraham, su siervo.
43 He brought his people out with joy, his chosen with singing.
Y se llevó a su pueblo con alegría, los hombres de su selección con alegres gritos:
44 He gave them the lands of the nations. They took the labour of the peoples in possession,
Y les dio las tierras de las naciones; y tomaron el trabajo de los pueblos por herencia;
45 that they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Praise the LORD!
Para que guarden sus órdenes, y sean fieles a sus leyes. Alaba al Señor.
