Revelation 7
1 After this, I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth, or on the sea, or on any tree.
Dann sah ich vier Engel stehen an den vier Enden der Erde, die hielten die vier Winde der Erde fest, damit kein Wind wehe über die Erde noch über das Meer noch über irgendeinen Baum.
2 I saw another angel ascend from the sunrise, having the seal of the living God. He cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was given to harm the earth and the sea,
Auch sah ich einen anderen Engel aufsteigen von Sonnenaufgang her, der trug das Siegel des lebendigen Gottes, und er rief mit lauter Stimme den vier Engeln zu, die Macht empfangen hatten, die Erde und das Meer zu beschädigen,
3 saying, “Don’t harm the earth, the sea, or the trees, until we have sealed the bondservants of our God on their foreheads!”
und sprach: "Beschädigt nicht die Erde noch das Meer noch die Bäume, bis wir die Knechte unseres Gottes versiegelt haben auf ihren Stirnen!"
4 I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the children of Israel:
Dann vernahm ich die Zahl der Versiegelten: es waren hundertvierundvierzigtausend aus allen Stämmen der Kinder Israels.
5 of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand, of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand,
Aus dem Stamm Juda waren zwölftausend versiegelt, aus dem Stamm Ruben zwölftausend, aus dem Stamm Gad zwölftausend.
6 of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand, of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand, of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand,
Aus dem Stamm Asser zwölftausend, aus dem Stamm Naphtali zwölftausend, aus dem Stamm Manasse zwölftausend.
7 of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand, of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand,
Aus dem Stamm Simeon zwölftausend, aus dem Stamm Levi zwölftausend, aus dem Stamm Isaschar zwölftausend.
8 of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand, of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, and of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.
Aus dem Stamm Sebulon zwölftausend, aus dem Stamm Josef zwölftausend, aus dem Stamm Benjamin waren zwölftausend versiegelt.
9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no man could count, out of every nation and of all tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.
Danach sah ich eine große Schar, die niemand zählen konnte, aus allen Geschlechtern, Stämmen, Völkern und Sprachen, die stand vor dem Thron und dem Lamm. Sie waren angetan mit weißen Kleidern und trugen Palmenzweige in den Händen.
10 They cried with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation be to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
Sie riefen mit lauter Stimme: / "Das Heil wird uns zuteil von unserem Gott, der auf dem Thron sitzt, und von dem Lamm."
11 All the angels were standing around the throne, the elders, and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before his throne, and worshipped God,
Alle Engel standen rings um den Thron und um die Ältesten und die vier Lebewesen. Sie fielen vor dem Thron nieder auf ihr Angesicht, beteten Gott an
12 saying, “Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honour, power, and might, be to our God forever and ever! Amen.” (aiōn g165)
und sprachen: / "Ja, so ist's. Lob, Herrlichkeit und Weisheit, Dank und Ehre, Macht und Stärke gebühren unserem Gott in alle Ewigkeit. Amen." (aiōn g165)
13 One of the elders answered, saying to me, “These who are arrayed in the white robes, who are they, and where did they come from?”
Da nahm einer von den Ältesten das Wort und sprach zu mir: "Wer sind diese, die die weißen Kleider tragen, und woher sind sie gekommen?"
14 I told him, “My lord, you know.” He said to me, “These are those who came out of the great suffering. They washed their robes and made them white in the Lamb’s blood.
Ich antwortete ihm: "Mein Herr, du weißt es." Da sprach er zu mir: "Diese sind gekommen aus der großen Trübsal und haben ihre Kleider in des Lammes Blut gewaschen und gebleicht.
15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple. He who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them.
Darum stehen sie nun vor Gottes Thron und dienen ihm bei Tag und Nacht in seinem Tempel; und er, der auf dem Thron sitzt, wird sie in seinem Zelt schützen.
16 They will never be hungry or thirsty any more. The sun won’t beat on them, nor any heat;
Sie wird nicht mehr hungern, nicht mehr dürsten; die Sonne und der Glutwind trifft sie nicht.
17 for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Denn das Lamm, das mitten vor dem Thron steht, wird sie weiden und leiten zu des Lebens Wasserquellen, und Gott wird alle Tränen aus ihren Augen wischen."
