Ezekiel 38
1 And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
POI la parola del Signore mi fu [indirizzata], dicendo:
2 and he seide, Thou, sone of man, Sette thi face ayens Gog, and ayens the lond of Magog, the prince of the heed of Mosoch and of Tubal; and profesie thou of hym.
Figliuol d'uomo, volgi la tua faccia verso Gog, [verso il] paese di Magog, principe, [e] capo di Mesec, e di Tubal; e profetizza contro a lui; e di':
3 And thou schalt seie to hym, The Lord God seith these thingis, A! Gog, lo! Y to thee, prince of the heed of Mosoch and of Tubal;
Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Eccomi a te, o Gog, principe [e] capo di Mesec, e di Tubal.
4 and Y schal lede thee aboute, and Y schal sette a bridil in thi chekis, and Y schal leede out thee, and al thin oost, horsis, and horsmen, alle clothid with haburiouns, a greet multitude of men, takynge spere, and scheeld, and swerd.
E ti farò tornare indietro, e ti metterò de' graffi nelle mascelle, e ti trarrò fuori, con tutto il tuo esercito, cavalli, e cavalieri, tutti quanti perfettamente ben vestiti, gran raunata di [popolo, con] targhe, e scudi, i quali trattano le spade tutti quanti.
5 Perseis, Ethiopiens, and Libiens with hem, alle ben araied with scheeldis and helmes.
[E] con loro le gente di Persia, di Cus, e di Put, tutti [con] iscudi, ed elmi;
6 Gomer, and alle the cumpenyes of hym, the hous of Togorma, the sidis of the north, and al the strengthe therof, and many puplis ben with thee.
Gomer, e tutte le sue schiere; la casa di Togarma, dal fondo del Settentrione, insieme con tutte le sue schiere; molti popoli teco.
7 Make redi, and araye thee, and al thi multitude which is gaderid to thee, and be thou in to comaundement to hem.
Mettiti in ordine, ed apparecchiati, tu, e tutta la tua gente, che si è radunata appresso di te; e sii loro per salvaguardia.
8 Aftir many daies thou schalt be visitid, in the laste of yeeris thou schalt come to the lond, that turnede ayen fro swerd, and was gaderid of many puplis, to the hillis of Israel that weren desert ful ofte; this was led out of puplis, and alle men dwellide tristili ther ynne.
Tu sarai visitato dopo molti giorni; in su la fin degli anni tu verrai nel paese [del popolo] riscosso dalla spada, e raccolto da molti popoli, ne' monti d'Israele, i quali erano stati ridotti in deserto perpetuo; allora che [il popolo di] quel [paese], essendo stato ritratto d'infra i popoli, abiterà tutto in sicurtà.
9 Forsothe thou schalt stie, and schalt come as a tempest, and as a cloude, for to hile the lond, thou, and alle thi cumpanyes, and many puplis with thee.
E salirai, [e] verrai a guisa di ruinosa tempesta; tu sarai a giusa di nuvola, da coprir la terra; tu, e tutte le tue schiere, e molti popoli teco.
10 The Lord God seith these thingis, In that dai wordis schulen stie on thin herte, and thou schalt thenke the worste thouyt;
Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Egli avverrà in quel giorno, che [molte] cose ti saliranno nel cuore, e penserai un malvagio pensiero.
11 and schalt seie, Y schal stie to the lond with out wal, and Y schal come to hem that resten and dwellen sikirli; alle these dwellen with out wal, barris and yatis ben not to hem;
E dirai: Io salirò contro al paese delle villate; io verrò sopra la gente quieta, che abita in sicurtà (eglino abitano tutti in [luoghi] senza mura, e non han nè sbarre, nè porte);
12 that thou rauysche spuylis, and asaile prei; that thou brynge in thin hond on hem that weren forsakun, and afterward restorid, and on the puple which is gaderid of hethene men, that bigan to welde, and to be enhabitere of the nawle of erthe.
per ispogliare spoglie, e per predar preda; rimettendo la tua mano sopra i luoghi deserti, [di nuovo] abitati; e sopra il popolo raccolto dalle genti, che si adopererà intorno al bestiame, ed alle [sue] facoltà; [ed] abiterà nel bellico del paese.
13 Saba, and Dedan, and the marchauntis of Tharsis, and alle the liouns therof schulen seie to thee, Whether thou comest to take spuylis? Lo! to rauysche prey thou hast gaderid thi multitude, that thou take awei gold and siluer, and do awei purtenaunce of houshold and catel, and that thou rauysche preyes with out noumbre.
Seba, e Dedan, e i mercatanti di Tarsis, e tutti i suoi leoncelli, ti diranno: Sei tu venuto per ispogliare spoglie? hai tu fatta la tua raunata per predar preda, per portarne via argento ed oro; per rapir bestiame, e facoltà; per ispogliar molte spoglie?
14 Therfor profesie thou, sone of man; and thou schalt seie to Gog, The Lord God seith these thingis, Whether not in that dai, whanne my puple Israel schal dwelle tristili, thou schalt wite;
Perciò, figliuol d'uomo, profetizza, e di' a Gog: Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: In quel giorno, quando il mio popolo Israele abiterà in sicurtà, nol saprai tu?
15 and schalt come fro thi place, fro the sidis of the north, thou, and many puplis with thee, alle stieris of horsis, a greet cumpany, and an huge oost;
E tu verrai dal tuo luogo, dal fondo del Settentrione; tu, e molti popoli teco, tutti montati sopra cavalli, gran raunata, e grosso esercito.
16 and thou as a cloude schalt stie on my puple Israel, that thou hile the erthe? Thou schalt be in the laste daies, and Y schal brynge thee on my lond, that my folkis wite, whanne Y schal be halewid in thee, thou Gog, bifor the iyen of them.
E salirai contro al mio popolo Israele, a guisa di nuvola, per coprir la terra; tu sarai in su la fine de' giorni, ed io ti farò venir sopra la mia terra; acciocchè le genti mi conoscano, quando io mi sarò santificato in te, nel cospetto loro, o Gog.
17 The Lord God seith these thingis, Therfor thou art he of whom Y spak in elde daies, in the hond of my seruauntis, profetis of Israel, that profesieden in the daies of tho tymes, that Y schulde bringe thee on hem.
Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Non [sei] tu quello, del quale io parlai a' tempi antichi, per li profeti d'Israele, miei servitori, i quali profetizzarono in quei tempi, per [molti] anni, che io ti farei venir contro a loro?
18 And it schal be, in that dai, in the dai of the comyng of Gog on the lond of Israel, seith the Lord God, myn indignacioun schal stie in my strong veniaunce, and in my feruour;
Ma egli avverrà in quel giorno, nel giorno che Gog sarà venuto sopra il paese d'Israele, dice il Signore Iddio, che l'ira mi salirà nelle nari.
19 Y spak in the fier of my wraththe.
Ed io ho parlato nella mia gelosia, nel fuoco della mia indegnazione: Se in quel giorno non [vi] è un gran tremoto nel paese d'Israele.
20 For in that dai schal be grete mouyng on the lond of Israel; and fischis of the see, and beestis of erthe, and briddis of the eir, and ech crepynge beeste which is mouyd on erthe, and alle men that ben on the face of erthe, schulen be mouyd fro my face; and hillis schulen be vndurturned, and heggis schulen falle doun, and ech wal schal falle doun in to erthe.
E i pesci del mare, e gli uccelli del cielo, e le fiere della campagna, ed ogni rettile che va serpendo sopra la terra, ed ogni uomo che [è] sopra la terra, tremeranno per la mia presenza; e i monti saranno diroccati e i balzi caderanno, e ogni muro ruinerà a terra.
21 And Y schal clepe togidere a swerd ayens hym in alle myn hillis, seith the Lord God; the swerd of ech man schal be dressid ayens his brother.
Ed io chiamerò la spada contro a lui, per tutti i miei monti, dice il Signore Iddio; la spada di ciascun [di loro] sarà contro al suo fratello.
22 And thanne Y schal deme hym bi pestilence, and blood, and greet reyn, and bi greet stoonys; Y schal reyn fier and brymstoon on hym, and on his oost, and on many puplis that ben with hym.
E verrò a giudicio con lui con pestilenza, e con sangue; e farò piover sopra lui, e sopra le sue schiere, e sopra i molti popoli, che [saranno] con lui, una pioggia strabocchevole, pietre di gragnuola, fuoco, e zolfo.
23 And Y schal be magnefied, and Y shal be halewid, and Y shal be knowun bifore the iyen of many folkis; and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord.
Ed io mi magnificherò, e mi santificherò, e sarò conosciuto nel cospetto di molte genti; e conosceranno che io [sono] il Signore.
