Psalms 16
1 `Of the meke and symple, the salm of Dauid. Lord, kepe thou me, for Y haue hopid in thee;
மிக்தாம் என்னும் தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். இறைவனே, என்னைப் பாதுகாத்துக்கொள்ளும், ஏனெனில் நான் உம்மில் தஞ்சம் அடைகிறேன்.
2 Y seide to the Lord, Thou art my God, for thou hast no nede of my goodis.
நான் யெகோவாவிடம், “நீரே என் யெகோவா; உம்மைத்தவிர என்னிடம் ஒரு நன்மையும் இல்லை” என்று சொன்னேன்.
3 To the seyntis that ben in the lond of hym; he made wondurful alle my willis in hem.
நாட்டிலுள்ள பரிசுத்தவான்கள், “அவர்கள் சிறந்தவர்கள் என் மகிழ்ச்சி எல்லாம் அவர்களிலேயே இருக்கின்றன.”
4 The sikenessis of hem ben multiplied; aftirward thei hastiden. I schal not gadire togidere the conuenticulis, `ethir litle couentis, of hem of bloodis; and Y schal not be myndeful of her names bi my lippis.
பிற தெய்வங்களைத் தேடி ஓடுகிறவர்களுக்கு துயரங்கள் அதிகரிக்கும். இரத்தபான காணிக்கைகளை அந்த தெய்வங்களுக்கு நான் ஊற்றமாட்டேன்; அவைகளின் பெயர்களை என் உதடுகளினால் சொல்லவு மாட்டேன்.
5 The Lord is part of myn eritage, and of my passion; thou art, that schalt restore myn eritage to me.
யெகோவாவே, நீரே எனது சுதந்திரம், ஆசீர்வாதத்தின் பாத்திரமுமாய் இருக்கிறீர்; எனது பங்கை பாதுகாப்பானதாய் ஆக்கியிருக்கிறீர்.
6 Coordis felden to me in ful clere thingis; for myn eritage is ful cleer to me.
எனக்கான எல்லைப் பகுதிகள் இன்பமான இடங்களில் அமைந்துள்ளன; நிச்சயமாகவே மகிழ்ச்சியான உரிமைச்சொத்து எனக்கு உண்டு.
7 I schal blesse the Lord, that yaf vndurstondyng to me; ferthermore and my reynes blameden me `til to nyyt.
எனக்கு ஆலோசனை தருகின்ற யெகோவாவை நான் துதிப்பேன்; இரவிலும் என் இருதயம் எனக்கு அறிவைப் புகட்டுகிறது.
8 I purueide euere the Lord in my siyt; for he is on the riythalf to me, that Y be not moued.
யெகோவாவையே எப்பொழுதும் எனக்கு முன்பாக வைத்திருக்கிறேன். அவர் என்னுடைய வலதுபக்கத்தில் இருக்கிறபடியால் நான் அசைக்கப்படமாட்டேன்.
9 For this thing myn herte was glad, and my tunge ioyede fulli; ferthermore and my fleisch schal reste in hope.
ஆகையால், என் இருதயம் மகிழ்ந்து என் நாவு களிகூருகிறது; என் உடலும் பாதுகாப்பாய் இளைப்பாறும்.
10 For thou schalt not forsake my soule in helle; nether thou schalt yyue thin hooli to se corrupcioun. (Sheol h7585)
ஏனென்றால் நீர் என்னை பாதாளத்தில் கைவிட்டுவிடமாட்டீர்; உமது பரிசுத்தவான் அழிவைக் காணவும் விடமாட்டீர். (Sheol h7585)
11 Thou hast maad knowun to me the weies of lijf; thou schalt fille me of gladnesse with thi cheer; delityngis ben in thi riythalf `til in to the ende.
வாழ்வின் பாதையை நான் அறியப்பண்ணினீர்; உமது சமுகத்தில் என்னை ஆனந்தத்தாலும், உமது வலதுபக்கத்தில் என்னை நித்திய இன்பங்களினாலும் நிரப்புவீர்.
