Actes 21
1 Après nous être arrachés à leurs embrassements, nous mîmes à la voile et nous allâmes droit à Cos; le lendemain nous atteignîmes Rhodes, puis Patare.
After then it happened sailing our having drawn away from them, having run directly we came to Cos, and the next [day] to Rhodes, and from there and from there to Patara.
2 Là, ayant trouvé un vaisseau qui faisait la traversée vers la Phénicie, nous y montâmes et partîmes.
And having found a boat passing over into Phoenicia having gone on board we set sail.
3 Arrivés en vue de Chypre, nous laissâmes l'île à gauche, nous dirigeant vers la Syrie, et nous abordâmes à Tyr, où le navire devait déposer sa cargaison.
(Having sighted *NK(o)*) then Cyprus and having left it on the left we were sailing to Syria and (we disembarked *N(k)O*) at Tyre; There for the ship was unloading the cargo.
4 Nous trouvâmes les disciples, et nous restâmes là sept jours; et ils disaient à Paul, par l'Esprit de Dieu, de ne point monter à Jérusalem.
(and *k*) Having sought out (then *no*) the disciples we remained there days seven, who to Paul were telling through the Spirit not (to go up *N(k)O*) to Jerusalem.
5 Mais au bout de sept jours, nous nous acheminâmes pour partir, et tous, avec leurs femmes et leurs enfants, nous accompagnèrent jusqu'en dehors de la ville. Nous nous mîmes à genoux sur le rivage pour prier;
When then it happened that we [were] completing the days, having set out we were journeying while are accompanying us everyone with wives and children as far as outside the city, And having bowed the knees on the shore (having prayed *N(k)O*)
6 puis, après nous être dit adieu, nous montâmes sur le vaisseau, tandis qu'ils retournèrent chez eux.
(we greeted *N(k)O*) one another and (we went up *N(k)(o)*) into the boat, they then returned to [their] own.
7 Pour nous, achevant notre navigation, nous allâmes de Tyr à Ptolémaïs, et ayant salué les frères, nous passâmes un jour avec eux.
We ourselves then the voyage having completed from Tyre came down to Ptolemais, and having greeted the brothers we stayed day one with them.
8 Nous partîmes le lendemain et nous arrivâmes à Césarée. Etant entrés dans la maison de Philippe l'évangéliste, l'un des sept, nous logeâmes chez lui.
On the now next day having gone forth (those with Paul *K*) (we came *NK(O)*) to Caesarea, and having entered into the house of Philip the evangelist (who *k*) is being of the seven we stayed with him.
9 Il avait quatre filles vierges, qui prophétisaient.
With this [man] now there were daughters four virgins prophesying.
10 Comme nous étions dans cette ville depuis quelques jours, il arriva de Judée un prophète nommé Agabus.
Remaining now (of us *K*) days many came down a certain one from Judea a prophet named Agabus,
11 Etant venu vers nous, il prit la ceinture de Paul, se lia les pieds et les mains et dit: " Voici ce que déclare l'Esprit-Saint: L'homme à qui appartient cette ceinture sera ainsi lié à Jérusalem par les Juifs et livré aux mains des Gentils. "
and having come to us and having taken the belt of Paul, having bound (both *k*) (of himself *N(k)O*) the feet and the hands he said; Thus says the Spirit Holy; The man of whom is belt this, in this way will bind in Jerusalem the Jews and will deliver [him] into [the] hands of [the] Gentiles.
12 Ayant entendu ces paroles, nous et les fidèles de Césarée, nous conjurâmes Paul de ne point monter à Jérusalem.
When then we had heard these things, were begging we ourselves both and those of that place not to go up him to Jerusalem.
13 Alors il répondit: " Que faites-vous de pleurer ainsi et de me briser le cœur? Pour moi, je suis prêt, non seulement à porter les chaînes, mais encore à mourir à Jérusalem pour le nom du Seigneur Jésus. "
(Then *N(k)O*) answered Paul; What are you doing weeping and breaking my heart? I myself for not only to be bound but also to die at Jerusalem readiness have for the name of the Lord Jesus.
14 Comme il restait inflexible, nous cessâmes nos instances, en disant: " Que la volonté du Seigneur se fasse! "
Not is being persuaded then he we were silent having said; Of the Lord the will (should be [done]. *N(k)O*)
15 Après ces jours-là, ayant achevé nos préparatifs, nous montâmes à Jérusalem.
After now days these having packed the baggage we were ascending to Jerusalem.
16 Des disciples de Césarée vinrent aussi avec nous, emmenant un nommé Mnason, de l'île de Chypre, depuis longtemps disciple, chez qui nous devions loger.
Went then also [some] of the disciples from Caesarea with us, bringing [one] with whom we may lodge, Mnason a certain Cypriot, an early disciple.
17 A notre arrivée à Jérusalem, les frères nous reçurent avec joie.
Having arrived now we at Jerusalem gladly (received *N(k)O*) us the brothers.
18 Le lendemain, Paul se rendit avec nous chez Jacques, et tous les Anciens s'y réunirent.
On the now following [day] was going in Paul with us unto James, all and arrived the elders.
19 Après les avoir embrassés, il raconta en détail tout ce que Dieu avait fait parmi les Gentils par son ministère.
And having greeted them he was relating by one each of the things did God among the Gentiles through the ministry of him.
20 Ce qu'ayant entendu, ils glorifièrent Dieu, et dirent à Paul: " Tu vois, frère, combien de milliers de Juifs ont cru, et tous sont zélés pour la Loi.
Those then having heard were glorifying (God, *N(K)O*) (They said *NK(o)*) then to him; You see brother, how many myriads there are (among the *NO*) (Jews *N(k)O*) who having believed and all zealous ones for the law are.
21 Or ils ont entendu dire de toi que tu enseignes aux Juifs dispersés parmi les Gentils de se séparer de Moïse, leur disant de ne pas circoncire leurs enfants et de ne pas se conformer aux coutumes.
They have been informed now about you that apostasy you teach from Moses those among the Gentiles all Jews telling not to circumcise them the children nor in the customs to walk.
22 Que faire donc? Sans aucun doute, on se rassemblera en foule, car on va savoir ton arrivée.
What then is it? Certainly (should multitude to assemble *K*) they will hear (for *k*) that you have come.
23 Fais donc ce que nous allons te dire. Nous avons ici quatre hommes qui ont fait un vœu;
This therefore do you what to you we say; There are with us men four a vow having (on *NK(o)*) themselves;
24 prends-les, purifie-toi avec eux, et fais pour eux les frais des sacrifices, afin qu'ils se rasent la tête. Ainsi tous sauront que les rapports faits sur ton compte sont sans valeur, et que toi aussi tu observes la Loi.
These [men] having taken do be purified with them and do bear expense for them so that (they will shave *N(k)O*) the head, and (will know *N(k)O*) all that of which they have been informed about you no [thing] is, but you walk orderly also yourself keeping the law.
25 Quant aux Gentils qui ont cru, nous leur avons écrit après avoir décidé [qu'ils n'ont rien de pareil à observer, sauf] qu'ils doivent s'abstenir des viandes offertes aux idoles, du sang, des animaux étouffés et de la fornication. "
Concerning now those having believed of the Gentiles we ourselves (wrote to *NK(O)*) having adjudged (nothing such to keep them only except *K*) to keep from them the both idol-sacrifices and (*k*) blood and what is strangled and sexual immorality.
26 Alors Paul prit avec lui ces hommes, et après s'être purifié, il entra le lendemain avec eux dans le temple, pour annoncer que les jours du naziréat étaient expirés, et il y vint jusqu'à ce que le sacrifice eût été offert pour chacun d'eux.
Then Paul having taken the men on the following day with them having been purified was entering into the temple declaring the fulfillment of the days of the purification until that was offered for one each of them the sacrifice.
27 Comme les sept jours touchaient à leur fin, les Juifs d'Asie, ayant vu Paul dans le temple, soulevèrent toute la foule et mirent la main sur lui, en criant:
When now were about the seven days to be completed, the from Asia Jews having seen him in the temple were stirring up all the crowd and laid upon him hands
28 " Enfants d'Israël, au secours! Voici l'homme qui prêche partout et à tout le monde contre le peuple, contre la Loi et contre ce lieu; il a même introduit des païens dans le temple et a profané ce saint lieu. "
crying out; Men Israelites, do help. This is the man who against the people and the law and place this all those (everywhere *N(k)O*) teaching, besides and also Greeks he has brought into the temple and has defiled holy place this.
29 Car ils avaient vu auparavant Trophime d'Ephèse avec lui dans la ville, et ils croyaient que Paul l'avait fait entrer dans le temple.
It was they for (having foreseen *NK(o)*) Trophimus the Ephesian in the city with him, whom they were supposing that into the temple had brought Paul.
30 Aussitôt toute la ville fut en émoi, et le peuple accourut de toute part; on se saisit de Paul et on l'entraîna hors du temple, dont les portes furent immédiatement fermées.
Was thrown into commotion also the city whole and there was a rushing together of the people, And having laid hold of Paul they were dragging him outside the temple; and immediately were shut the doors.
31 Pendant qu'ils cherchaient à le tuer, la nouvelle arriva au tribun de la cohorte que tout Jérusalem était en confusion.
Of them seeking (then *N(k)O*) him to kill there came a report to the commander of the cohort that all (are in an uproar *N(k)O*) Jerusalem;
32 Il prit à l'instant des soldats et des centurions, et accourut à eux. A la vue du tribun et des soldats, ils cessèrent de frapper Paul.
who at once having taken with [him] soldiers and centurions ran down upon them. And having seen the commander and the soldiers they stopped beating Paul.
33 Alors le tribun s'approchant, se saisit de lui et le fit lier de deux chaînes; puis il demanda qui il était et ce qu'il avait fait.
(Then *NK(o)*) having drawn near the commander laid hold of him and he commanded [him] to be bound with chains two and he was inquiring who (maybe *k*) he would be and what it is he having done.
34 Mais, dans cette foule, les uns criaient une chose, les autres une autre. Ne pouvant donc rien apprendre de certain, à cause du tumulte, il ordonna de l'emmener dans la forteresse.
Others however another [or] one thing (were crying out *N(k)O*) in the crowd. Not (is being able *N(k)O*) now (he *no*) to know the facts on account of the uproar he ordered to be brought him into the barracks.
35 Lorsque Paul fut sur les degrés, il dut être porté par les soldats, à cause de la violence de la multitude.
When now he came to the stairs, it happened that being carried he by the soldiers because of the violence of the crowd;
36 Car le peuple suivait en foule en criant: " Fais-le mourir. "
Were following for the multitude of the people (crying out; *N(k)O*) Away with him.
37 Au moment d'être introduit dans la forteresse, Paul dit au tribun: " M'est-il permis de te dire quelque chose? — " Tu sais le grec? répondit le tribun.
Being about then to be brought into the barracks Paul says to the commander; If is it permitted to me to say something to you? Then he was saying; Greek do you know?
38 Tu n'es donc pas l'Egyptien qui s'est révolté dernièrement et qui a emmené au désert quatre mille sicaires? "
Surely then you yourself are the Egyptian before these the days having led a revolt and having led out into the wilderness the four thousand men of the Assassins?
39 Paul lui dit: " Je suis Juif, de Tarse en Cilicie, citoyen d'une ville qui n'est pas sans renom. Je t'en prie, permets-moi de parler au peuple. "
Said however Paul; I myself a man indeed am a Jew of Tarsus of Cilicia not [of an] insignificant city a citizen, I implore however you; do allow me to speak to the people.
40 Le tribun le lui ayant permis, Paul debout sur les degrés, fit signe de la main au peuple. Un profond silence s'établit, et Paul, s'exprimant en langue hébraïque, leur parla ainsi:
When was permitting then he Paul having stood on the stairs made a sign with the hand to the people, great then silence having taken place (he addressed [them] *NK(o)*) in the Hebrew language saying:
