Juges 2
1 Or l'Ange de l'Eternel monta de Guilgal à Bokim, et dit: Je vous ai fait monter hors d'Egypte, et je vous ai fait entrer au pays dont j'avais juré à vos pères, et j'ai dit: Je n'enfreindrai jamais mon alliance que j'ai traitée avec vous.
And he went up [the] angel of Yahweh from Gilgal to Bokim. And he said I brought up you from Egypt and I brought you into the land which I swore to ancestors your and I said not I will break covenant my with you for ever.
2 Et vous aussi vous ne traiterez point alliance avec les habitants de ce pays; vous démolirez leurs autels; mais vous n'avez point obéi à ma voix; qu'est-ce que vous avez fait?
And you not you must make a covenant to [the] inhabitants of the land this altars their you will pull down! and not you have listened to voice my what? this have you done.
3 Et j'ai dit aussi: Je ne les chasserai point de devant vous, mais ils seront à vos côtés, et leurs dieux vous seront en piège.
And also I say not I will drive out them from before you and they will become for you sides and gods their they will become for you a snare.
4 Et il arriva qu'aussitôt que l'Ange de l'Eternel eut dit ces paroles à tous les enfants d'Israël, le peuple éleva sa voix, et pleura.
And it was when spoke [the] angel of Yahweh the words these to all [the] people of Israel and they lifted up the people voice their and they wept.
5 C'est pourquoi ils appelèrent ce lieu-là Bokim; et ils sacrifièrent là à l'Eternel.
And they called [the] name of the place that Bokim and they sacrificed there to Yahweh.
6 Or Josué avait renvoyé le peuple, et les enfants d'Israël s'en étaient allés chacun à son héritage, pour posséder le pays.
And he sent away Joshua the people and they went [the] people of Israel everyone to own inheritance his to take possession of the land.
7 Et le peuple avait servi l'Eternel tout le temps de Josué, et tout le temps des Anciens qui avaient survécu à Josué, [et] qui avaient vu toutes les grandes œuvres de l'Eternel, lesquelles il avait faites pour Israël.
And they served the people Yahweh all [the] days of Joshua and all - [the] days of the old [men] who they made long days after Joshua who they had seen all [the] work of Yahweh great which he had done for Israel.
8 Puis Josué, fils de Nun, serviteur de l'Eternel, était mort, âgé de cent dix ans.
And he died Joshua [the] son of Nun [the] servant of Yahweh a son of a hundred and ten years.
9 Et on l'avait enseveli dans les bornes de son héritage à Timnath-Hérés, en la montagne d'Ephraïm, du côté du Septentrion de la montagne de Gahas.
And people buried him in [the] territory of inheritance his in Timnath Heres in [the] hill country of Ephraim from [the] north of [the] mountain of Gaash.
10 Et toute cette génération aussi avait été recueillie avec ses pères; puis une autre génération s'était levée après eux, laquelle n'avait point connu l'Eternel, ni les œuvres qu'il avait faites pour Israël.
And also all the generation that they gathered to ancestors its and it arose a generation another after them which not they knew Yahweh and also the work which he had done for Israel.
11 Les enfants d'Israël donc firent ce qui déplaît à l'Eternel, et servirent les Bahalins.
And they did [the] people of Israel the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh and they served the Baals.
12 Et ayant abandonné l'Eternel, le Dieu de leurs pères, qui les avait fait sortir du pays d'Egypte, ils allèrent après d'autres dieux, d'entre les dieux des peuples qui [étaient] autour d'eux, et ils se prosternèrent devant eux; ainsi ils irritèrent l'Eternel.
And they forsook Yahweh - [the] God of ancestors their who brought out them from [the] land of Egypt and they went after - gods other some of [the] gods of the peoples which [were] around them and they bowed down to them and they provoked to anger Yahweh.
13 Ils abandonnèrent donc l'Eternel, et servirent Bahal et Hastaroth.
And they forsook Yahweh and they served the Baal and the Ashtaroth.
14 Et la colère de l'Eternel s'enflamma contre Israël, et il les livra entre les mains de gens qui les pillèrent; et il les vendit en la main de leurs ennemis d'alentour, de sorte qu'ils ne purent plus se maintenir devant leurs ennemis.
And it burned [the] anger of Yahweh on Israel and he gave them in [the] hand of plunderers and they plundered them and he sold them in [the] hand of enemies their from round about and not they were able still to stand before enemies their.
15 Partout où ils allaient, la main de l'Eternel était contr'eux en mal, comme l'Eternel en avait parlé, et comme l'Eternel le leur avait juré, et ils furent dans de [grandes] angoisses.
In every - where they went out [the] hand of Yahweh it was on them for harm just as he had spoken Yahweh and just as he had sworn Yahweh to them and it was distress to them exceedingly.
16 Et l'Eternel leur suscitait des Juges, qui les délivraient de la main de ceux qui les pillaient.
And he raised up Yahweh judges and they delivered them from [the] hand of plunderers their.
17 Mais ils ne voulaient pas même écouter leurs Juges, ils paillardaient après d'autres dieux; ils se prosternaient devant eux; ils se détournaient aussitôt du chemin par lequel leurs pères avaient marché, obéissant aux commandements de l'Eternel; mais eux ne faisaient pas ainsi.
And also to judges their not they listened for they acted as prostitutes after gods other and they bowed down to them they turned aside quickly from the way which they had walked fathers their to obey [the] commandments of Yahweh not they did so.
18 Or quand l'Eternel leur suscitait des Juges, l'Eternel était aussi avec le Juge, et il les délivrait de la main de leurs ennemis pendant tout le temps du Juge; car l'Eternel se repentait pour les sanglots qu'ils jetaient à cause de ceux qui les opprimaient et qui les accablaient.
And if he raised up Yahweh - for them judges and he was Yahweh with the judge and he delivered them from [the] hand of enemies their all [the] days of the judge for he had compassion Yahweh from groaning their because of [those who] oppressed them and [those who] oppressed them.
19 Puis il arrivait que quand le Juge mourait, ils se corrompaient de nouveau plus que leurs pères, allant après d'autres dieux pour les servir, et se prosterner devant eux; ils ne diminuaient rien de leur mauvaise conduite ni de leur train obstiné.
And it was - when died the judge they turned back and they acted corruptly more than fathers their by walking after gods other to serve them and to bow down to them not they let drop any of deeds their and any of way their stubborn.
20 C'est pourquoi la colère de l'Eternel s'enflamma contre Israël, et il dit: Parce que cette nation a transgressé mon alliance que j'avais commandée à leurs pères, et qu'ils n ont point obéi à ma voix;
And it burned [the] anger of Yahweh on Israel and he said because that they have transgressed the nation this covenant my which I commanded ancestors their and not they have listened to voice my.
21 Aussi je ne déposséderai plus de devant eux aucune des nations que Josué laissa quand il mourut;
Also I not I will increase to dispossess anyone from before them any of the nations which he left Joshua and he died.
22 Afin d'éprouver par elles Israël, [et voir] s'ils garderont la voie de l'Eternel pour y marcher, comme leurs pères l'ont gardée, ou non.
So as to put to [the] test by them Israel ¿ [be] keeping [will] they [the] way of Yahweh by walking in them just as they kept [it] ancestors their or? not.
23 L'Eternel donc laissa ces nations-là sans les déposséder sitôt, et il ne les livra point entre les mains de Josué.
And he left Yahweh the nations these to not to dispossess them quickly and not he gave them in [the] hand of Joshua.
