1 Après cela, Jésus se montra encore à ses disciples, au bord de la mer de Tibériade, et voici comment il se montra:
After these things, Yeshua revealed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. He revealed himself this way.
2 Simon Pierre, Thomas appelé Didynie, Nathanaël de Cana en Galilée, les fils de Zébédée et deux autres de ses disciples se trouvaient ensemble.
Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together.
3 Simon Pierre leur dit: «Je vais pêcher.» Ils lui dirent: «Nous y allons aussi avec toi.» Ils sortirent donc et entrèrent dans une barque; mais ils ne prirent rien cette nuit-là.
Simon Peter said to them, “I’m going fishing.” They told him, “We are also coming with you.” They immediately went out and entered into the boat. That night, they caught nothing.
4 Le matin étant venu, Jésus se trouva sur le rivage; cependant les disciples ne savaient pas que c'était Jésus.
But when day had already come, Yeshua stood on the beach; yet the disciples didn’t know that it was Yeshua.
5 Jésus leur dit: «Enfants, n'avez-vous rien à manger?» Ils lui répondirent: «Non.»
Yeshua therefore said to them, “Children, have you anything to eat?” They answered him, “No.”
6 Il leur dit: «Jetez le filet à droite de la barque, et vous trouverez du poisson.» Ils le jetèrent, et ils ne pouvaient plus le tirer à cause de la grande quantité de poissons qu'il contenait.
He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” They cast it therefore, and now they weren’t able to draw it in for the multitude of fish.
7 Alors le disciple que Jésus aimait dit à Pierre: «C'est le Seigneur.» Dès que Simon Pierre eut entendu que c'était le Seigneur, il mit son sarrau et se ceignit, car il était nu, et il se jeta dans l'eau.
That disciple therefore whom Yeshua loved said to Peter, “It’s the Lord!” So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he wrapped his coat around himself (for he was naked), and threw himself into the sea.
8 Les autres disciples vinrent avec la barque, tirant le filet plein de poissons, car ils n'étaient éloignés de la terre que d'environ deux cents coudées.
But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits away), dragging the net full of fish.
9 Lorsqu'ils furent descendus à terre, ils virent sur le sol des charbons allumés, du poisson dessus, et du pain.
So when they got out on the land, they saw a fire of coals there, with fish and bread laid on it.
10 Jésus leur dit: «Apportez de ces poissons que vous venez de prendre.»
Yeshua said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”
11 Simon Pierre entra dans la barque, et tira sur la grève le filet qui était plein de cent cinquante-trois gros poissons; et, quoiqu'il y en eût tant, le filet ne se rompit point.
Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land, full of one hundred fifty-three great fish. Even though there were so many, the net wasn’t torn.
12 Jésus leur dit: «Venez et déjeunez.» Mais aucun des disciples n'osa lui demander: «Qui es-tu?» parce qu'ils savaient bien que c'était le Seigneur.
Yeshua said to them, “Come and eat breakfast!” None of the disciples dared inquire of him, “Who are you?” knowing that it was the Lord.
13 Jésus s'approcha, prit du pain, leur en donna, et du poisson également.
Then Yeshua came and took the bread, gave it to them, and the fish likewise.
14 C'était la troisième fois déjà que Jésus se montrait à ses disciples depuis qu'il était ressuscité des morts.
This is now the third time that Yeshua was revealed to his disciples after he had risen from the dead.
15 Après qu'ils eurent déjeuné, Jésus dit à Simon Pierre: «Simon, fils de Jona, m'aimes-tu plus que ne font ceux-ci?» Pierre lui répondit: «Oui, Seigneur, tu sais que je t'aime.» Jésus lui dit: «Pais mes agneaux.»
So when they had eaten their breakfast, Yeshua said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.”
16 Il lui demanda pour la seconde fois: «Simon, fils de Jona, m'aimes-tu?» Pierre lui répondit: «Oui, Seigneur, tu sais que je t'aime.» Jésus lui dit: «Pais mes brebis.»
He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.”
17 Il lui demanda pour la troisième fois: «Simon, fils de Jona, m'aimes-tu?» Pierre fut affligé de ce qu'il lui demandait pour la troisième fois, «m'aimes-tu?» et il lui répondit: «Seigneur, tu sais toutes choses, tu sais bien que je t'aime.» Jésus lui dit: «Pais mes chères brebis.
He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you have affection for me?” Peter was grieved because he asked him the third time, “Do you have affection for me?” He said to him, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I have affection for you.” Yeshua said to him, “Feed my sheep.
18 En vérité, en vérité, je te le dis, quand tu étais jeune, tu te ceignais toi-même, et tu allais où tu voulais; quand tu seras vieux, tu étendras les bras, et un autre te ceindra, et t'entraînera là où tu ne voudras pas.»
Most certainly I tell you, when you were young, you dressed yourself and walked where you wanted to. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you don’t want to go.”
19 Or il dit cela pour indiquer de quelle mort Pierre devait glorifier Dieu. Puis il ajouta: «Suis-moi.»
Now he said this, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. When he had said this, he said to him, “Follow me.”
20 Pierre s'étant retourné, vit venir derrière eux le disciple que Jésus aimait, celui qui, pendant le souper, s'était penché sur le sein de Jésus, et lui avait dit: «Seigneur, qui est celui qui te livre?»
Then Peter, turning around, saw a disciple following. This was the disciple whom Yeshua loved, the one who had also leaned on Yeshua’s chest at the supper and asked, “Lord, who is going to betray you?”
21 Pierre donc le voyant, dit à Jésus: «Et celui-ci, Seigneur, que deviendra-t-il?»
Peter, seeing him, said to Yeshua, “Lord, what about this man?”
22 Jésus lui dit: «Si je veux qu'il demeure jusqu’à ce que je vienne, que t'importe? Pour toi, suis-moi.»
Yeshua said to him, “If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you? You follow me.”
23 Le bruit se répandit donc parmi les frères, que ce disciple ne mourrait pas. Pourtant Jésus ne lui avait pas dit qu'il ne mourrait pas, mais il avait dit: «Si je veux qu'il demeure jusqu’à ce que je vienne, que t'importe?»
This saying therefore went out among the brothers that this disciple wouldn’t die. Yet Yeshua didn’t say to him that he wouldn’t die, but, “If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you?”
24 C'est ce même disciple qui atteste ces faits, et qui les a écrits; et nous savons que son témoignage est véritable.
This is the disciple who testifies about these things, and wrote these things. We know that his witness is true.
25 Jésus a fait encore beaucoup d'autres choses: si on les rapportait en détail, je ne pense pas que le monde même pût contenir les livres qu'on en écrirait.
There are also many other things which Yeshua did, which if they would all be written, I suppose that even the world itself wouldn’t have room for the books that would be written.
