Psalm 74
1 Ein Lehrgedicht, von Asaph. - Warum, ach Gott, verwirfst Du immerfort und lodert über Deiner Herde Deines Zornes Rauch?
A poem of Asaph why? O God have you rejected [us] to perpetuity does it smoke? anger your on [the] sheep of pasture your.
2 Bedenke: Die Gemeinde, die Du einst gegründet, die Du Dir ausgelöst zum Stamme ewigen Besitzes, der Sionsberg, auf dem Du Wohnung nahmst,
Remember congregation your - [which] you acquired antiquity [which] you redeemed [the] tribe of inheritance your [the] mountain of Zion which - you have dwelt on it.
3 den Deine Schritte ausgezeichnet, sind zusammen eine Trümmerstatt! Gar alles hat der Feind im Heiligtum geschändet.
Lift up! footsteps your to [the] ruins of perpetuity everything he has done harm to [the] enemy in the sanctuary.
4 In Deiner Sammlungsstätte wüten Deine Feinde; sie stellen ihre Flaggen dort als Zeichen auf.
They roared opposers your in [the] midst of appointed place your they set up signs their signs.
5 So ist's, wie wenn man hohen Schwunges auf Waldgehölz die Äxte hebt.
It was known like [one who] brings upwards in a thicket of tree[s] axes.
6 Und nun sein Schnitzwerk allzumal zerschlagen sie mit Beil und Hammer.

7 Sie werfen Feuer in Dein Heiligtum, entweihen in den Staub die Wohnung Deines Namens.
They sent in fire sanctuary your to the ground they profaned [the] dwelling place of name your.
8 In ihrem Herzen sprechen sie: "Wir wollen alle sie zu Heiden machen." Im Land verbrennen sie die Gotteshäuser all.
They said in heart their let us oppress them altogether they burned all [the] appointed places of God in the land.
9 Wir sehen unsere Zeichen nimmer; und Propheten gibt es keine mehr, und niemand weiß bei uns: Wie lange?
Signs our not we have seen there not still [is] a prophet and not [is] with us [one who] knows until when?
10 Wie lange darf der Feind noch höhnen, der Gegner Deinen Namen immerfort verlästern, Gott?
Until when? O God will he taunt [the] opponent will he spurn? [the] enemy name your to perpetuity.
11 Warum entziehst Du Deine rechte Hand dem Kampfe? Vollbringe doch, was Dir obliegt!
Why? do you draw back hand your and right [hand] your from [the] midst of (bosom your *Q(K)*) destroy.
12 Von altersher ist Gott mein König, der auf der Erde hilfereiche Werke tut. -

13 In Deiner Macht zerteilst Du ja das Meer, zerbrichst die Drachenköpfe,
You you divided by strength your [the] sea you shattered [the] heads of sea monsters on the waters.
14 zerschlägst des Leviatans Häupter und gibst ihn hin der Wüstentiere Schar zum Fraße.
You you crushed [the] heads of Leviathan you gave it food to a people to desert-dwellers.
15 Du lässest Bach und Quelle sprudeln und starke Ströme Du versiegen.
You you broke open a spring and a torrent you you dried up rivers of ever-flowing.
16 Dein ist der Tag; Dein ist die Nacht. Genau bemißt Du Mond und Sonne.
[belongs] to You day also [belongs] to you night you you prepared a luminary and [the] sun.
17 Du stellst der Erde Grenzen alle fest; Du schaffst den Sommer und den Winter.
You you established all [the] boundaries of [the] earth summer and winter you you formed them.
18 Gedenke dessen, daß der Feind, Herr, höhnt, daß Deinen Namen lästert ein törichtes Volk!
Remember this [the] enemy he taunted - O Yahweh and a people foolish they spurned name your.
19 Nicht gib dem Habicht Deiner Taube Leben preis! Vergiß nicht gänzlich Deiner Dulder Menge!
May not you give to an animal [the] life of turtle-dove your [the] life of poor [people] your may not you forget to perpetuity.
20 Blick auf den Bund! Das Land ist voller Lug und Trug, die Wohnungen sind voll Gewalttat.
Pay attention to the covenant for they are full [the] dark places of [the] land settlements of violence.
21 Nicht ziehe der Bedrängte voller Scham dahin, der Arme nicht, der Elende, der Deinen Namen preist!
May not he return [the] oppressed humiliated [the] poor and [the] needy may they praise name your.
22 Auf, Gott! Führ Deine Sache! Der Schmach gedenke, die von Toren allezeit Dir widerfährt!
Arise! O God conduct! case your remember reproach your from a fool all the day.
23 Vergiß den Aufruhr Deiner Feinde nicht, das Toben Deiner Gegner nicht, das immer lauter wird.
May not you forget [the] sound of opposers your [the] uproar of [those who] rise against you [which] goes up continually.
