1 Zu jener Zeit ward Hiskia todkrank. Da kam zu ihm der Prophet Jesaja, der Sohn des Amoz, und sprach zu ihm: So spricht Jahwe: Bestelle dein Haus, denn du wirst sterben und nicht genesen!

In the days those he became sick Hezekiah to die and he came to him Isaiah [the] son of Amoz the prophet and he said to him thus he says Yahweh command to household your that [are] about to die you and not you will live.

2 Da wandte er sein Antlitz zur Wand und betete also zu Jahwe:

And he turned around face his to the wall and he prayed to Yahweh saying.

3 Ach Jahwe, gedenke doch, daß ich treulich und mit ungeteiltem Herzen vor deinem Angesicht gewandelt und gethan habe, was dir wohlgefällt! Und Hiskia brach in lautes Weinen aus.

I beg you O Yahweh remember please this: I have walked about before you in faithfulness and with a heart complete and the good in eyes your I have done and he wept Hezekiah weeping great.

4 Jesaja aber hatte den mittleren Vorhof noch nicht verlassen, als folgendes Wort Jahwes an ihn erging:

And it was Isaiah not he had gone out ([the] court *QK) middle and [the] word of Yahweh it came to him saying.

5 Kehre um und sage Hiskia, dem Fürsten meines Volks: So spricht Jahwe: der Gott deines Ahnherrn David: Ich habe dein Gebet gehört und deine Tränen gesehen. So will ich dich denn heilen; schon am dritten Tage wirst du hinauf in den Tempel Jahwes gehen.

Go back and you will say to Hezekiah [the] ruler of people my thus he says Yahweh [the] God of David ancestor your I have heard prayer your I have seen tear[s] your here I [am] about to heal you on the day third you will go up [the] house of Yahweh.

6 Und ich will deinen Lebenstagen fünfzehn Jahre hinzufügen; dazu will ich dich und diese Stadt aus der Gewalt des Königs von Assyrien erretten und diese Stadt beschirmen um meinetwillen und um meines Knechtes David willen.

And I will add to days your fif-teen year[s] and from [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria I will deliver you and the city this and I will defend the city this for own sake my and for [the] sake of David servant my.

7 Darauf befahl Jesaja: bringet ein Pflaster von Feigen! Da brachten sie es und legten es auf das Geschwür; da genas er.

And he said Isaiah take a cake of figs and people took [it] and they put [it] on the boil and he lived.

8 Hiskia aber sprach zu Jesaja: Was ist das Wahrzeichen dafür, daß Jahwe mich heilen wird und ich am dritten Tage hinauf in den Tempel Jahwes gehen werde?

And he said Hezekiah to Isaiah what? [will be] a sign that he will heal Yahweh me and I will go up on the day third [the] house of Yahweh.

9 Jesaja antwortete: Dies diene dir als Zeichen von Jahwe, daß Jahwe ausführen wird, was er verheißen hat: Soll der Schatten zehn Stufen vorrücken oder soll er zehn Stufen zurückgehen?

And he said Isaiah this for you [will be] the sign from with Yahweh that he will do Yahweh the thing which he has spoken it has gone the shadow ten steps or? will it go back ten steps.

10 Hiskia erwiderte: Es ist dem Schatten ein leichtes zehn Stufen abwärts zugehen; nein, der Schatten soll um zehn Stufen rückwärts gehen.

And he said Hezekiah it is trifling to the shadow to stretch out ten steps In-deed let it go back the shadow backwards ten steps.

11 Da rief der Prophet Jesaja Jahwe an; der ließ den Schatten am Sonnenzeiger des Ahas zehn Stufen rückwärts gehen.

And he called out Isaiah the prophet to Yahweh and he turned back the shadow on the steps which it had gone down on [the] steps of Ahaz backwards ten steps.

12 Zu jener Zeit sandte Merodach Baladan, der Sohn Baladans, der König von Babel, einen Brief und Geschenke an Hiskia; denn er hatte gehört, daß er krank gewesen und wieder zu Kräften gekommen war.

At the time that he sent Merodach-Baladan [the] son of Baladan [the] king of Babylon letters and a gift to Hezekiah for he had heard that he had been sick Hezekiah.

13 Und Hiskia freute sich über sie und zeigte ihnen sein ganzes Schatzhaus, das Silber und das Gold und die Spezereien und das kosbare Öl und sein ganzes Zeughaus und alles, was in seinen Schatzkammern vorhanden war. Es gab nicht, was ihnen Hiskia nicht gezeigt hätte, in seinem Palast und im ganzen Bereiche seiner Herrschaft.

And he listened to them Hezekiah and he showed them all [the] house of (treasure his *Qk) the silver and the gold and the spices and - [the] oil of the good and [the] house of weapons his and all that it was found in storehouses his not it was anything which not he showed them Hezekiah in house his and in all realm his.

14 Da kam der Prophet Jesaja zum König Hiskia und fragte ihn: Was haben diese Männer gesagt und woher kommen sie zu dir? Hiskia erwiderte: Aus fernem Lande sind sie gekommen, von Babel.

And he came Isaiah the prophet to the king Hezekiah and he said to him what? did they say - the men these and from where? are they coming to you and he said Hezekiah from a land distant they came from Babylon.

15 Darauf fragte er: Was haben sie in deinem Palaste gesehen? Hiskia antwortete: Sie haben alles gesehen, was sich in meinem Palaste befindet; es giebt in meinen Schatzkammern nichts, was ich ihnen nicht gezeigt hätte.

And he said what? did they see in house your and he said Hezekiah all that [is] in house my they saw not it was anything which not I showed them in storehouses my.

16 Da sprach Jesaja zu Hiskia: Höre das Wort Jahwes:

And he said Isaiah to Hezekiah hear [the] word of Yahweh.

17 Es wird die Zeit kommen, wo alles, was sich in deinem Palaste befindet und was deine Väter bis zum heutigen Tage aufgespeichert haben, nach Babel gebracht werden wird; nichts wird übrig gelassen werden, spricht Jahwe.

Here! days [are] coming and it will be carried off - all that [is] in house your and [that] which they have stored up ancestors your until the day this Babylon towards not it will be left behind anything he says Yahweh.

18 Und von deinen Söhnen, die von dir abstammen werden, die du erzeugen wirst, wird man welche nehmen, daß sie im Palaste des Königs von Babel als Kämmerer dienen.

And some of descendants your who they will come forth from you whom you will father (people will take away *QK) and they will be eunuchs in [the] palace of [the] king of Babylon.

19 Hiskia aber sprach zu Jesaja: Das Wort Jahwes, das du geredet hast ist gütig! Denn er dachte: Es wird ja doch Wohlfahrt und beständiges Wesen herrschen, solange ich lebe!

And he said Hezekiah to Isaiah [is] good [the] word of Yahweh which you have spoken and he said ¿ not if peace and stability it will be in days my.

20 Was aber sonst noch von Hiskia zu sagen ist und alle seine tapferen Thaten und wie er den Teich und die Wasserleitung hergestellt und das Wasser in die Stadt geleitet hat, das ist ja aufgezeichnet im Buche der Geschichte der Könige von Juda.

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Hezekiah and all might his and which he made the pool and the conduit and he brought the waters the city towards ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.

21 Und Hiskia legte sich zu seinen Vätern und sein Sohn Manasse ward König an seiner Statt.

And he lay down Hezekiah with ancestors his and he became king Manasseh son his in place of him.
