Daniel 6
1 Es gefiel Darius, hundertundzwanzig Satrapen über das Reich zu setzen, die im Reiche verteilt sein sollten,
to acceptable before Darius and to stand: establish since kingdom [the] to/for satrap [the] hundred and twenty that to be in/on/with all kingdom [the]
2 und an die Spitze derselben drei Oberbeamte zu stellen, von denen Daniel einer war, damit ihnen jene Satrapen Rechenschaft ablegten, und der König niemals einen Schaden erlitte.
and above from them chief three that Daniel one from them that to be satrap [the] these to give to/for them account [the] and king [the] not to be to suffer injury
3 Da erwies sich wieder Daniel als über die Oberbeamten und Satrapen hervorragend, weil er von ausnehmendem Geist erfüllt war, und der König ging mit dem Gedanken um, ihn über das ganze Reich zu setzen.
then Daniel this to be to distinguish oneself since chief [the] and satrap [the] like/as to/for before: because that spirit preeminent in/on/with him and king [the] to plan to/for to stand: establish him since all kingdom [the]
4 Da bemühten sich die Oberbeamten und Satrapen, irgend einen Vorwand gegen Daniel von seiten der Regierungsgeschäfte ausfindig zu machen. Aber sie vermochten keinerlei Vorwand, noch irgend etwas Schlimmes zu entdecken, weil er eben treu war, und keinerlei Nachlässigkeit noch irgend etwas Schlimmes an ihm zu entdecken war.
then chief [the] and satrap [the] to be to ask pretext to/for to find to/for Daniel from side kingdom [the] and all pretext and to corrupt not be able to/for to find like/as to/for before: because that to trust he/she/it and all neglect and to corrupt not to find since him
5 Da sagten diese Männer: Wir werden an diesem Daniel keinerlei Grund zur Anklage ausfindig machen, außer wir finden einen solchen in seiner Religion.
then man [the] these to say that not to find to/for Daniel this all pretext except to find since him in/on/with law god his
6 Darauf stürmten diese Oberbeamten und Satrapen zum König und sprachen also zu ihm: O König Darius! Mögest du immerdar leben!
then chief [the] and satrap [the] these to throng since king [the] and thus to say to/for him Darius king [the] to/for perpetuity to live
7 Sämtliche Oberbeamte des Reichs, die Vorsteher, Satrapen, Minister und Statthalter sind übereingekommen, daß der König eine Verordnung erlassen und ein Verbot aufstellen möge, wonach jeder, der binnen dreißig Tagen an irgend einen Gott oder Menschen eine Bitte zu richten wagt, außer an dich, o König, in die Löwengrube geworfen wird.
to counsel all chief kingdom [the] prefect [the] and satrap [the] counselor [the] and governor [the] to/for to stand: establish statute king [the] and to/for to grow strong injunction that all that to ask petition from all god and man till day thirty except from you king [the] to cast to/for den lion [the]
8 Nun, o König, erlaß das Verbot und laß einen schriftlichen Befehl ergehen, der gemäß dem unabänderlichen medischen und persischen Gesetz unwiederruflich ist.
now king [the] to stand: establish injunction [the] and to sign inscription [the] that not to/for to change like/as law Mede and Persia that not to pass on/over/away
9 Demgemäß ließ der König Darius den Erlaß und das Verbot ausfertigen.

10 Als nun Daniel vernahm, daß der Erlaß ausgefertigt war, begab er sich in sein Haus, in dessen Obergemach er in der Richtung nach Jerusalem offene Fenster hatte, kniete täglich dreimal nieder und betete zu seinem Gott und dankte ihm, ganz wie er bisher zu thun gepflegt hatte.

11 Da stürmten jene Männer herein und fanden Daniel, wie er zu seinem Gott betete und flehte.

12 Da traten sie vor den König und fragten ihn betreffs des königlichen Verbots: Hast du nicht ein schriftliches Verbot erlassen, daß jedermann, der binnen dreißig Tagen an irgendeinen Gott oder Menschen eine Bitte richten würde, außer an dich, o König, in die Löwengrube geworfen werden soll? Der König antwortete und sprach: Die Sache steht fest nach dem unabänderlichen medischen und persischen Gesetz.

13 Da antworteten sie dem König und sprachen: Daniel, der zu der Schar der jüdischen Gefangenen gehört, hat sich um dich, o König, nichts gekümmert, noch um das Verbot, das du erlassen hast; dreimal täglich verrichtet er sein Gebet.

14 Als der König dies vernahm, wurde er sehr betrübt, und er richtete sein ganzes Sinnen darauf, Daniel zu retten, und bis zum Untergang der Sonne war er bestrebt, ihn zu befreien.

15 Da bestürmten jene Männer den König und sprachen zu dem König: Wisse, o König! es ist medisches und persisches Gesetz, daß jedes vom König erlassene Verbot und Gebot unwiderruflich ist!

16 Da gab der König Befehl, Daniel herbeizuholen und ihn in die Löwengrube zu werfen. Der König hob an, und sprach zu Daniel: Dein Gott, den du unablässig verehrst, der möge dich erretten!
in/on/with then king [the] to say and to come to/for Daniel and to cast to/for den [the] that lion [the] to answer king [the] and to say to/for Daniel god your that (you *Qk) to serve to/for him in/on/with continuance [the] he/she/it to rescue you
17 Sodann wurde ein Stein gebracht und auf die Öffnung der Grube gelegt, und der König drückte sein Siegel und das Siegel seiner Großen darauf, damit der Beschluß über Daniel keine Änderung erfahre.

18 Darauf begab sich der König in seinen Palast zurück und brachte die Nacht in Fasten zu; Beischläferinnen ließ er nicht zu sich hereinbringen, aber der Schlaf floh ihn.

19 Dann stand der König mit der Morgenröte bei Tagesanbruch auf und begab sich eiligst zu der Löwengrube.

20 Und als er sich der Grube näherte, rief er Daniel mit kläglicher Stimme. Der König hob an und sprach zu Daniel: Daniel, du Diener des lebendigen Gottes! Vermochte dein Gott, den du unablässig verehrst, dich vor den Löwen zu retten?

21 Da redete Daniel mit dem König: O König! Mögest du immer dar leben!
then Daniel with king [the] to speak king [the] to/for perpetuity to live
22 Mein Gott hat seinen Engel gesandt und den Löwen den Rachen verschlossen, so daß sie mir kein Leid zufügten, weil ich vor ihm unschuldig erfunden wurde und auch dir gegenüber, o König, nichts Unrechtes gethan habe.

23 Da wurde der König sehr froh und befahl, Daniel aus der Grube heraufzubringen. Als nun Daniel aus der Grube heraufgebracht war, wurde nicht die geringste Verletzung an ihm gefunden, weil er auf seinen Gott vertraut hatte.

24 Auf den Befehl des Königs aber wurden jene Männer, die Daniel verleumdet hatten, herbeigebracht und nebst ihren Kindern und Weibern in die Löwengrube geworfen, und noch hatten sie den Boden der Grube nicht erreicht, da fielen die Löwen über sie her und zermalmten ihnen alle Knochen.

25 Darauf ließ der König Darius an alle Völker, Nationen und Zungen, die allenthalben auf der Erde wohnen, schreiben: Möge es euch wohlergehen!

26 Hiermit ergeht von mir Befehl, daß man im ganzen Bereiche meines Königtums vor dem Gotte Daniels zittern und sich fürchten soll. Denn er ist der lebendige gott und bleibt in Ewigkeit; sein Reich ist unzerstörbar und seine Herrschaft nimmt kein Ende.

27 Er kann erretten und befreien, thut Zeichen und Wunder am Himmel und auf Erden, er der Daniel aus der Gewalt der Löwen errettet hat.
to rescue and to rescue and to make sign and wonder in/on/with heaven [the] and in/on/with earth: planet [the] that to rescue to/for Daniel from hand lion [the]
28 Selbigen Daniel aber erging es auch fernerhin wohl unter der Regierung des Darius und unter der Regierung Cyrus, des Persers.
and Daniel this to prosper in/on/with kingdom Darius and in/on/with kingdom Cyrus (Persian [the] *Qk)
