Psalm 96

1 Singt Jahwe ein neues Lied, singt Jahwe, alle Lande!

Singe ye a newe song to the Lord; al erthe, synge ye to the Lord.

2 Singt Jahwe, preist seinen Namen! Verkündet von einem Tage zum andern sein Heil!

Synge ye to the Lord, and blesse ye his name; telle ye his heelthe fro dai in to dai.

3 Erzählt unter den Heiden seine Herrlichkeit, unter allen Völkern seine Wunder.

Telle ye his glorie among hethene men; hise merueilis among alle puplis.

4 Denn groß ist Jahwe und hoch zu loben; furchtbar ist er über alle Götter.

For the Lord is greet, and worthi to be preisid ful myche; he is ferdful aboue alle goddis.

5 Denn alle Götter der Völker sind Götzen, aber Jahwe hat den Himmel geschaffen.

For alle the goddis of hethene men ben feendis; but the Lord made heuenes.

6 Majestät und Hoheit sind vor seinem Angesicht, Stärke und Pracht in seinem Heiligtum.

Knouleching and fairnesse is in his siyt; hoolynesse and worthi doyng is in his halewing.

7 Gebt Jahwe, ihr Völkergeschlechter, gebt Jahwe Herrlichkeit und Stärke!

Ye cuntrees of hethene men, brynge to the Lord, bringe ye glorye and onour to the Lord;

8 Gebt Jahwe die Herrlichkeit, die seinem Namen gebührt; bringt Gaben und kommt zu seinen Vorhöfen.

bringe ye to the Lord glorie to hys name. Take ye sacrificis, and entre ye in to the hallis of hym;

9 Werft euch nieder vor Jahwe in heiligem Schmuck, erzittert vor ihm, alle Lande!

herie ye the Lord in his hooli halle. Al erthe be moued of his face;

10 Sprecht unter den Heiden: Jahwe ward König! Auch hat er den Erdkreis gefestigt, daß er nicht wankt. Er richtet die Völker, wie es recht ist.

seie ye among hethene men, that the Lord hath regned. And he hath amendid the world, that schal not be moued; he schal deme puplis in equite.

11 Es freue sich der Himmel und die Erde frohlocke; es brause das Meer und was es füllt.

Heuenes be glad, and the erthe make ful out ioye, the see and the fulnesse therof be moued togidere; feeldis schulen make ioye,

12 Es jauchze das Gefilde und alles, was darauf ist; alsdann werden jubeln alle Bäume des Waldes

and alle thingis that ben in tho. Thanne alle the trees of wodis schulen make ful out ioye, for the face of the Lord, for he cometh;

13 vor Jahwe, denn er kommt, denn er kommt, die Erde zu richten und die Völker kraft seiner Treue.

for he cometh to deme the erthe. He schal deme the world in equite; and puplis in his treuthe.
