Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, [which is] our hope;

2 N diani apo fini Timote yua n tie n bimoanga li dandanli nni U Tienu yua n tie ba leni ti diedo Jesu Kilisiti yaa ŋanbili leni o niŋigbadima leni o yanduanma n yaa ye leni a.

Unto Timothy, [my] own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, [and] peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

3 Nbua ki tiadi a min den puogi a yaala min den baa fii ki gedi Maseduana diema yaa yogunu ke ŋan yaa ye Efesa ki tundi bi nitianba yaaba n bangi bangi toama.

As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

4 Han go yie bi po ke ban da pa bi yula i telimi togida leni yaajanba togida yaa n kaa pia gbenma, kelima laa bonla kuli fiidi mi niama ki naa todi U Tienu tuonli suagima liiga li dandanli nni.

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: [so do].

5 Laa tundi n baa cuani yaala tie: yaa buama n ña yaa pali n pieni niinni leni yaa pali seedi n ŋani leni li dandanmoanli.

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and [of] a good conscience, and [of] faith unfeigned:

6 Bi nitianba lebidi ki ŋa laa bonla ki yaadi ki ŋoa mi mafanma.

From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

7 Bi bua ki yaa tie li bali maama bangikaaba, ama baa bani ban maadi yaala leni ban tiendi yaala leni li papaali yeni n bua ki yedi yaala.

Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

8 Ti bani ke U Tienu balimaama ŋani li ya tie ke o nilo ŋoa ma nani lan bili maama.

But we know that the law [is] good, if a man use it lawfully;

9 Ti go bani ke baa bili li balimaama yeni o niteginkoa po, ama bi bili ma bi nibiadiba, leni bi niyiekaaba, leni U Tienu yiekaaba, leni ti tuonbiadi danba, leni yaaba n kaa ŋoa U Tienu sanu, kaa fangi U Tienu mo leni yaaba n ku bi baanba leni bi naanba, leni nikpalo kuli po,

Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

10 leni mi conconma danba, leni yaa jaba n taagi leni bi yaba, leni yaaba n kuadi bi niba, leni bi tuofadanba leni yaaba n tiedi mi seedi faama po, leni yaala n nia leni mi bangiŋanma kuli po.

For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

11 Laa bangiŋanma ŋoa o laabaaliŋamo, U Tienu yua n pundi ki yaa baadi ti kpiagidi ki go pia mi yemanmoanma n piani nni yua.

According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

12 N tuondi ti diedo jesu kilisiti yua n puni nni u paalu, ki sua ke n tie nidugikoa ki kuani nni o tuonli nni.

And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

13 Mini yua n den kpa sugidi o, ki wangi o fala, ki tiendi o yaala n bia, o den gbadi npo mi niŋima, kelima n den tiendi yeni n yanpiima po leni n dandanluoma po.

Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did [it] ignorantly in unbelief.

14 Ti diedo den ŋanbi npo ŋali ke li kandi, ki puni nni yaa dandanli leni yaa buama n ñani Jesu kilisiti kani.

And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

15 Ya maama n tie na tie madugikaama ki pundi bi niba n ga ma cain, ke Jesu kilisiti den cua ŋanduna nni ki baa tindi ti tuonbiadi danba. Bi siiga nni mini n cie.

This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

16 Ama o den gbadi npo mi niŋima line yaapo: Jesu kilisiti cili ki doagidi o juuli mini yaa kani, ke min tua li bontogidikaala yaaba n baa daani o ki ba yaa miali n kan gbeni kuli po. (aiōnios g166)

Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. (aiōnios g166)

17 U Tienu yua n tie o badiciamo ŋali yaa yogunu kuli kaa pia kuuma, tin ki nua yua, wani yua bebe n tie U Tienu n yaa baadi ti jigidi leni ti kpiagidi hali yaa yogunu kuli. Amina (aiōn g165)

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, [be] honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

18 N biga Timote n teni a yaa ñoabonli n tie na, nani ban den kpa pua apo yaa sawali ki yedi maama lani n tie ŋan ya koani li dandanli koanŋanli,

This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

19 ki yaa kubi li dandanli leni yaa paliseedi n ŋani, bi nitianba den ŋa laa bonla ke bi dandanli bodi.

Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

20 Imene leni Alesanda tie laa niba siiga yaaba. N den teni ba Sutaani ke lan bangi ba ban da go sugidi U Tienu.

Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
