1 Si ta gen nan mitan nou yon pwofèt osinon yon moun ki konn fè vizyon, epi ki ta fè konnen kèk siy osinon kèk gwo bagay pral rive nan mitan nou,
If a prophete risith in the myddis of thee, ethir he that seith hym silf to haue seyn a dreem, and he biforseith a signe and a wondur to comynge aftir,
2 si sa li te anonse a rive vre epi li ta vin di nou: Ann al swiv lòt bondye nou poko konnen menm yo! Ann al fè sèvis pou yo!
and this that he spak bifallith, and he seith to thee, Go we, and sue alien goddis, whiche thou knowist not, and serue we hem,
3 nou pa fèt pou nou koute pawòl pwofèt sa a ap di, ni sa moun ki konn fè vizyon an ap vin rakonte nan zòrèy nou. Paske se Seyè a, Bondye nou an, k'ap sonde nou, l'ap chache konnen si vreman vre nou renmen Seyè a ak tout kè nou, ak tout nanm nou.
thou schalt not here the wordis of that prophete, ether of dremere; for youre Lord God assaieth you, that he wite opynli whether ye louen hym ether nay, in al youre herte, and in al youre soule.
4 Se Seyè a, Bondye nou an, pou nou swiv. Se li menm pou nou gen krentif. Se lòd li pou nou swiv. Se sa li di nou pou nou koute. Se li menm pou nou sèvi. Pa janm vire do ba li.
Sue ye youre Lord, and `drede ye hym; kepe ye his comaundementis, and here ye `the vois of hym; ye schulen serue hym, and ye schulen cleue to hym.
5 Kanta pou pwofèt sa a, osinon moun k'ap fè vizyon an, se pou nou touye yo. Paske y'ap ban nou konsèy pou nou kenbe tèt ak Seyè a, Bondye nou an, ki te fè nou soti kite peyi Lejip epi ki te wete nou nan esklavaj nou te ye laba a. Se pou nou touye yo, paske y'ap chache fè nou kite chemen Seyè a, Bondye nou an, te mete devan nou pou nou te swiv la. Se konsa n'a wete bagay mal k'ap fèt nan mitan nou.
Forsothe thilke prophete, ether the feynere of dremes, schal be slayn; for he spak that he schulde turne you awei fro youre Lord God, that ladde you out of the lond of Egipt, and ayenbouyte you fro the hous of seruage, that `thilke prophete schulde make thee to erre fro the weie which thi Lord God comaundide to thee; and thou schalt do awey yuel fro the myddis of thee.
6 Si yon frè nou, bò papa osinon bò manman, osinon yon pitit gason nou, osinon yonn nan pitit fi nou, osinon madanm k'ap viv nan menm kay avèk nou, osinon ankò yonn nan bon bon zanmi nou ta chache pran tèt nou an kachèt pou fè n' al sèvi lòt bondye, bondye ni nou menm ni zansèt nou yo pa t' janm konnen,
If thi brothir, the sone of thi modir, ether thi sone, ethir thi douyter, ether the wijf which is in thi bosum, ethir thi freend whom thou louest as thi soule, wole counsele thee, and seith priueli, Go we and serue alien goddis, whiche thou knowist not,
7 yonn nan bondye lòt moun k'ap viv ansanm avèk nou sou latè, kit yo toupre nou, kit yo byen lwen nou,
and thi fadris, of alle the folkis `in cumpas, that ben niy ether fer, fro the bigynnyng `til to the ende of the lond,
8 pa janm tonbe dakò avèk li. Pa koute sa l'ap di nou. Se pou nou san pitye pou li. Pa chache pwoteje li, pa chache kouvri anyen pou li.
assente thou not to hym, nether here thou, nether thin iyen spare hym, that thou haue mercy,
9 Okontrè, se pou nou touye l'. Premye moun ki pou leve men sou li pou touye l' ak koutwòch se va nou menm. Apre sa, n'a kite lòt moun vin ede nou touye l'.
and hide hym, but anoon thou schalt sle hym. Thin hond be fyrst on him and aftir thee al the puple putte to hond.
10 N'a kalonnen l' wòch jouk li mouri, paske li te vle fè nou vire do bay Seyè a, Bondye nou an, li menm ki te fè nou soti kite peyi Lejip kote nou te nan esklavaj la.
He schal be oppressid with stoonus, and `schal be slayn; for he wolde drawe thee awei fro thi Lord God, that ledde thee out of the lond of Egipt, fro the hous of seruage,
11 Lè sa a, tout moun pèp Izrayèl yo va konn sa, y'a pè. Konsa, yo yonn p'ap janm fè yon bagay mal konsa ankò nan mitan pèp la.
that al Israel here and drede, and do no more ony thing lijk this thing.
12 Si nou vin tande y'ap di nan yonn nan lavil Seyè a ban nou pou nou rete yo,
If thou herist ony men seiynge in oon of thi citees, whiche thi Lord God schal yyue to thee to enhabite,
13 gen kèk moun, kèk vòryen, moun menm ras ak nou ki te pran tèt moun k'ap viv nan lavil sa a pou fè yo al sèvi lòt bondye nou pa janm konnen,
The sones of Belial yeden out fro the myddis of thee, and turneden awei the dwelleris of the citee, and seiden, Go we, and serue alien goddis whiche ye knowen not,
14 se pou nou chache konnen bagay la byen. N'a mennen ti ankèt nou, n'a poze keksyon adwat agoch. Si bri y'ap fè kouri a vre, si nou jwenn prèv yon bagay mal konsa te fèt vre,
enquere thou bisili, and whanne the treuthe of the thing is biholdun diligentli, if thou fyndist that this thing is certeyn, which is seid, and that this abhominacioun is doon in werk,
15 se pou nou pran nepe nou, se pou nou touye dènye moun ki nan lavil sa a ansanm ak tout bèt yo. Se pou nou detwi lavil la nèt nan dife pou Bondye ansanm ak tou sa ki ladan l'.
anoon thou schalt smyte the dwelleris of that citee bi the scharpnesse of swerd, and thou schalt `do it awey, and alle thingis that ben ther ynne, `til to beestis.
16 N'a ranmase tou sa moun yo te genyen nan lavil la, n'a anpile yo sou plas piblik la. N'a mete dife nan lavil la ak tou sa ki ladan l' pou yo sèvi yon ofrann pou Seyè a, Bondye nou an. Se pou lavil la toujou rete yon pil mazi pou li pa janm rebati ankò.
Also what euer thing of purtenaunce of houshold is, thou schalt gadere in the myddis of the stretis therof, and thou schalt brenne with that citee, so that thou waste alle thingis to thi Lord God, and it be a biriel euerlastynge; it schal no more be bildid.
17 Piga nou kenbe pou nou anyen nan bagay nou fèt pou boule pou Seyè a. Se konsa Seyè a va sispann fache sou nou, l'a gen pitye pou nou. Wi, l'a fè pa nou. L'a fè nou peple jan li te pwomèt sa bay zansèt nou yo.
And no thing of that cursyng schal cleue in thin hond, that the Lord be turned awei fro the yre of his strong veniaunce, and haue mercy on thee, and multiplie thee, as he swoor to thi fadris.
18 Men, se pou nou toujou koute sa Seyè a, Bondye nou an, ap di nou. Se pou nou toujou kenbe tout lòd m'ap ban nou jòdi a. Se pou nou toujou fè sa ki dwat devan Seyè a, Bondye nou an.
Whanne thou hast herd the vois of thi Lord God, thou schalt kepe alle hise heestis whiche Y comaunde to thee to day, that thou do that that is plesaunt in the siyt of thi Lord God.
