Levitikọs 12

1 Onyenwe anyị gwara Mosis sị ya,

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2 “Nye ụmụ Izrel iwu ndị a sị ha, ‘Mgbe nwanyị tụụrụ ime mesịa mụọ nwa nwoke, ọ ga-abụ onye na-adịghị ọcha ụbọchị asaa, dịka o si adị mgbe ọ nọ nʼadịghị ọcha nke nsọ ya nʼoge a kara aka.

Speak to the children of Israel, saying, If a woman hath conceived seed, and borne a boy: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.

3 Nʼụbọchị nke asatọ site nʼoge a mụrụ ya, a ga-ebi nwa nwoke ahụ ugwu.

And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

4 Nʼime iri abalị atọ na atọ site nʼụbọchị nwanyị ahụ mụsịrị nwa ahụ, ọ ga-anọkwa na-adịghị ọcha nke ọbara gbara ya. Ọ gaghị emetụ ihe dị nsọ aka, maọbụ banye nʼime ebe nsọ, ruo mgbe ụbọchị ime ya ka ọ dị ọcha gasịrị.

And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.

5 Mgbe nwanyị dị ime mụrụ nwa nwanyị, ọ ga-abụ onye nʼadịghị ọcha iri ụbọchị na anọ, dịka o si adị mgbe ọ nọ na nsọ ya. Ọ ga-echere tutu iri ụbọchị isii agwụsịa, ime ya ka ọ dị ọcha.

But if she shall bear a girl, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying sixty and six days.

6 “‘Mgbe ụbọchị ịdị ọcha ya zuru, ma ọ mụrụ nwa nwoke maọbụ nwa nwanyị, ọ ga-ewetara onye nchụaja nʼọnụ ụzọ ụlọ nzute otu nwa atụrụ gbara otu afọ maka onyinye aja nsure ọkụ, na otu nwa kpalakwukwu maọbụ otu nduru maka onyinye aja mmehie.

And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to the priest:

7 Onye nchụaja ga-anarakwa ha chee ha nʼihu Onyenwe anyị, chụọrọ ya aja ikpuchi mmehie. Mgbe ahụ ka ọ ga-adị ọcha site nʼịsọ ọbara ya. “‘Nke a bụ usoro iwu dịịrị nwanyị ọbụla mụrụ nwa nwoke, maọbụ nwa nwanyị.

Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath borne a male or a female.

8 Ọ bụrụ na aka erughị ya iweta nwa atụrụ, ọ ga-eweta ụmụ kpalakwukwu abụọ, maọbụ ụmụ nduru abụọ. Otu ga-abụ maka aja nsure ọkụ, nke ọzọ ga-abụ maka aja mmehie. Onye nchụaja ga-ewere ha chụọrọ ya aja ikpuchi mmehie, ka ọ dịkwa ọcha ọzọ.’”

And if she shall not be able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.
