< Deuteronomio 21 >

1 No adda nasarakanyo a natay iti daga nga it-ited ni Yahweh a Diosyo kadakayo a tagikuaenyo, a nakadasay iti talon, ken saan nga ammo no siasino ti nangdarup kenkuana;
“When one is found slain, fallen in a field on the ground which your God YHWH is giving to you to possess it, [and] it is not known who has struck him,
2 masapul ngarud a rummuar dagiti panglakayen ken ukomyo, ket masapul a rukodenda dagiti siudad iti aglawlaw ti napapatay.
then your elderly and yours [of those] judging have gone out and measured to the cities which [are] around the slain one,
3 Ket ti kaasitgan a siudad iti napapatay a tao—masapul a mangala dagiti panglakayen ditoy iti bumalasang a baka manipud iti arban, maysa a saan pay a pulos a nagtrabaho, saan pay a naipako.
and it has been, the city which [is] near to the slain one, even [the] elderly of that city have taken a heifer of the herd, which has not been worked with, which has not drawn in a yoke,
4 Masapul nga isalog dagiti panglakayen iti dayta a siudad ti bumalasang a baka iti tanap nga adda agay-ayus a danum, maysa a tanap a saan pay a naarado wenno namulaan, ket masapul a matukkol ti tengnged ti bumalasang a baka idiay tanap.
and [the] elderly of that city have brought down the heifer to a hard valley, which is not tilled nor sown, and have beheaded the heifer there in the valley.
5 Masapul a mapan dagiti papadi, dagiti kaputotan ni Levi; ta pinili ida ni Yahweh a Diosyo tapno agserbi kenkuana ken mangbendision kadagiti tattao iti nagan ni Yahweh; denggenyo dagiti balakadda, ta ti saoda ti pangngeddengto iti tunggal riri ken kaso iti panagaapa.
And the priests, sons of Levi, have come near—for your God YHWH has fixed on them to serve Him and to bless in the Name of YHWH, and by their mouth is every strife and every stroke—
6 Amin a panglakayen iti siudad a kaasitgan iti napapatay a tao ket masapul a buggoanda dagiti imada iti rabaw ti bumalasang a baka a natukkol ti tengngedna idiay tanap;
and all [the] elderly of that city, who are near to the slain one, wash their hands over the heifer which is beheaded in the valley,
7 ket masapul a sumungbatda iti kaso ket kunaenda, 'Saan a pinagsayasay dagiti imami daytoy a dara, wenno nakita dagiti matami daytoy.
and they have answered and said, Our hands have not shed this blood, and our eyes have not seen—
8 Pakawanem, O Yahweh, dagiti tattaom nga Israel, a sinubbotmo, ken saanmo nga ikabil ti basol iti panagsayasay ti dara nga awan basolna iti tengnga dagiti tattaom nga Israel.' Ket mapakawandanto iti panagsayasay ti dara.
receive atonement for Your people Israel, whom You have ransomed, O YHWH, and do not permit innocent blood in the midst of Your people Israel; and the blood has been pardoned to them,
9 Iti kastoy a wagas, ikkatenyonto ti awan basolna a dara iti nagtetengngaanyo, no aramidenyo ti nalinteg iti imatang ni Yahweh.
and you put away the innocent blood out of your midst, for you do that which [is] right in the eyes of YHWH.
10 Inton mapanka makigubat kadagiti kabusormo ket pagballigiennaka ni Yahweh a Diosmo ken impaiturayanna ida kenka, ket masapul nga alaem ida a kas balud.
When you go out to battle against your enemies, and your God YHWH has given them into your hand, and you have taken captive its captivity,
11 No adda makitam a napintas a babai kadagiti balud, ket adda tarigagaymo kenkuana ken kayatmo isuna nga alaen a kas asawam,
and have seen a woman of beautiful form in the captivity, and have delighted in her, and have taken [her] to yourself for a wife,
12 mabalinmo ngarud nga iyawid isuna iti balaymo, kuskosannanto ti ulona ken putdanna dagiti kukona.
then you have brought her into the midst of your household, and she has shaved her head, and prepared her nails,
13 Ussobennanto dagiti pagan-anay a suotna idi naala isuna a kas balud, ket agtalinaedto isuna iti balaymo ken dung-awanna ti ama ken inana iti makabulan. Kalpasan dayta, mabalinmon a kaiddaen isuna ket agbalinkan nga asawana ken agbalin isunan nga asawam.
and turned aside the raiment of her captivity from off her, and has dwelt in your house, and lamented her father and her mother [for] a month of days, and afterward you go in to her and have married her, and she has been to you for a wife.
14 Ngem no saankan a maragsakan kenkuana, palubosam ngarud isuna a mapan iti kayatna a papanan. Ngem masapul a saanmo a pulos nga ilaklako isuna iti kuarta, ken masapul a saanmo isuna nga ibilang a kasla maysa a tagabu, gapu ta imbabainmo isuna.
And it has been, if you have not delighted in her, that you have sent her away at her desire, and surely you do not sell her for money; you do not tyrannize over her, because that you have humbled her.
15 No addaan ti maysa a lalaki iti dua nga asawa ket maay-ayat ti maysa ken magurgura ti maysa, ket agpadada a nangipasngay kenkuana iti annak— ti maay-ayat nga asawa ken ti magurgura nga asawa—no ti inauna nga anak ket anak ti magurgura nga asawa,
When a man has two wives, one loved and the other hated, and they have borne sons to him (the loved one and the hated one), and the firstborn son has been to the hated one,
16 ket iti aldaw nga ipatawid ti lalaki kadagiti annakna dagiti sanikuana, saanna a mabalin a pagbalinen nga inauna ti anak ti maay-ayat nga asawa sakbay ti anak ti magurgura nga asawa, ti pudno nga inauna nga anak.
then it has been, in the day of his causing his sons to inherit that which he has, he is not able to declare firstborn the son of the loved one, in the face of the son of the hated one—the firstborn.
17 Ngem ketdi, masapul a bigbigenna ti inauna nga anak, ti anak ti magurgura nga asawa babaen iti pannangtedna iti mamindua a bingay iti amin a sanikuana; ta dayta nga anak ti rugi ti pigsana; ti karbengan ti inauna nga anak ket kukuana.
But the firstborn, son of the hated one, he acknowledges, to give to him a double portion of all that is found with him, for he [is] the beginning of his strength; to him [is] the right of the firstborn.
18 No addaan ti maysa a tao iti anak a natangken ti ulona ken nasukir a saan nga agtulnog iti timek ti ama wenno ti inana, ken uray no tubtubngarenda isuna, saanna ida a dengdenggen;
When a man has a son apostatizing and being rebellious—he is not listening to the voice of his father and to the voice of his mother, and they have disciplined him, and he does not listen to them—
19 masapul ngarud a tenglen isuna ti ama ken inana ket ipanda kadagiti panglakayen iti siudadna ken iti ruangan ti siudadna.
then his father and his mother have laid hold on him, and they have brought him out to [the] elderly of his city, and to the gate of his place,
20 Masapul a kunaenda kadagiti panglakayen iti siudadna, 'Natangken ti ulona ken nasukir daytoy nga anakmi a lalaki; saanna a tungtungpalen ti timekmi; narawet ken mammartek isuna.'
and have said to [the] elderly of his city, Our son—this one—is apostatizing and being rebellious; he is not listening to our voice—a glutton and drunkard.
21 Ket masapul a batoen isuna dagiti amin a lallaki iti siudadna agingga a matay; ket maikkatyonto ti kinadakes kadakayo. Mangngegto amin nga Israelita daytoy ket agbutengda.
Then all the men of his city have stoned him with stones and he has died, and you have put away the evil out of your midst, and all Israel hears and fears.
22 No nakaaramid ti maysa a lalaki iti basol a maikari iti pannakatay ken mapapatay isuna, ket ibitinyo isuna iti kayo,
And when there is a sin in a man [with] a judgment of death, and he has been put to death, and you have hanged him on a tree,
23 masapul ngarud a saan nga agpatpatnag ti bagina iti kayo. Ngem ketdi, masapul nga itabonyo isuna iti dayta met laeng nga aldaw; ta inlunod ti Dios ti siasinoman a naibitin. Tungpalenyo daytoy a bilin tapno saanyo a tulawan ti daga nga it-ited ni Yahweh a Diosyo kadakayo a kas tawidyo.
his corpse does not remain on the tree, for you certainly bury him in the day—for he who is hanged [becomes] a curse of God—and you do not defile your ground which your God YHWH is giving to you [for] an inheritance.”
