< Isaias 48 >

1 Denggenyo daytoy, balay ni Jacob, a naawagan iti nagan nga Israel, ken nagtaud iti kaputotan ti Juda; dakayo nga agsapsapata iti nagan ni Yahweh ken umaw-awag iti Dios ti Israel, ngem saan nga iti kinapudno wenno iti nalinteg a wagas.
Hear these [words], you house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and have come forth out of Juda, who swear by the name of the Lord God of Israel, making mention [of it, but] not with truth, nor with righteousness;
2 Ta awaganda dagiti bagida a tattao iti nasantoan a siudad ken agtaltalek iti Dios ti Israel; Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin ti naganna.
maintaining also the name of the holy city, and staying themselves on the God of Israel: the Lord of hosts is his name. The former things I have already declared;
3 “Naipakaammokon dagiti banbanag manipud idi; nagtaud dagitoy iti ngiwatko, ken naipakaammok dagitoy; kalpasanna, inaramidko a dagus dagitoy, ket napasamak dagitoy.
and they that have proceeded out of my mouth, and it became well known; I wrought suddenly, and [the events] came to pass.
4 Gapu ta ammok a natangken ti uloyo, kas katangken ti landok ti piskel ti tengngedyo ken kasla bronse ti mugingyo,
I know that you are stubborn, and your neck is an iron sinew, and your forehead brazen.
5 isu nga impakaammokon dagitoy a banbanag kadakayo idi; sakbay a napasamak dagitoy, impakaammokon kadakayo tapno saanyo nga ibaga nga, 'Ti didiosek iti nangaramid kadagitoy,' wenno 'ti imahen a kayo wenno ti imahen a landok ti nangaramid kadagitoy a banbanag.'
And I told you of old what [should be] before it came upon you; I made it known to you, lest you should say, [My] idols have done [it] for me; and should say, [My] graven and molten images have commanded me.
6 Nangngegyo ti maipanggep kadagitoy a banbanag, kitaenyo amin daytoy a pammaneknek; ket dakayo, saanyo kadi nga aklunen a pudno dagitoy nga imbagak? Manipud ita, mangipakitaak kadakayo iti baro a banbanag a nailemmeng a saanyo pay a naammoan.
You have heard all this, but you have not known: yet I have made known to you the new things from henceforth, which are coming to pass, and you said not,
7 Rimsuada ita a saan ket nga idi, ken saanyo pay a nangngeg ti maipapan kadagitoy sakbay daytoy nga aldaw, isu a saanyo a maibaga, 'Wen, ammok ti maipapan kadagitoy.'
Now they come to pass, and not formerly: and you heard not of them in former days: say not you, Yes, I know them.
8 Saanyo a pulos a nangngeg; saanyo nga ammo; saan idi a nailawlawag dagitoy a bambanag kadagiti lapayagyo. Ta ammok a manangallilawkayo unay, ken nasukirkayon sipud pay pannakaiyanakyo.
You have neither known, nor understood, neither from the beginning have I opened your ears: for I knew that you would surely deal treacherously, and would be called a transgressor even from the womb.
9 Para iti naganko, lapdakto ti ungetko, ken gapu iti dayawko ket saanko nga ituloy ti panangdadaelko kadakayo.
For mine own sake will I show you my wrath, and will bring before you my glorious acts, that I may not utterly destroy you.
10 Kitaenyo, ginugorankayo, ngem saan a kas iti pirak; pinasin-awkayo iti hurno ti panagsagaba.
Behold, I have sold you, [but] not for silver; but I have rescued you from the furnace of affliction.
11 Para iti bukodko a pagimbagan, gapu iti bukodko a pagimbagan nga agtignayakto; ta kasano nga ipalubosko a maibabain ti naganko? Saankonto nga ited ti dayagko iti sabali.
For mine own sake I will do [this] for you, because my name is profaned; and I will not give my glory to another.
12 Dumngegkayo kaniak, Jacob ken Israel nga inayabak: Siak isuna; siak ti umuna ken siak met laeng ti maudi.
Hear me, O Jacob, and Israel whom I call; I am the first, and I endure for ever.
13 Wen, ti imak ti nangisaad iti pundasion ti daga, ken ti makannawan nga imak ti nangiyaplag kadagiti langit; no awagak ida, sangsangkamaysada a tumakder.
My hand also has founded the earth, and my right hand has fixed the sky: I will call them, and they shall stand together.
14 Aguummongkayo, dakayo amin, ket dumngegkayo; Siasino kadakayo ti nangiwaragawag kadagitoy a babanag? Aramidento ti katulongan ni Yahweh ti gandatna iti Babilonia. Aramidennanto ti pagayatan ni Yahweh maibusor kadagiti Caldeo.
And all shall be gathered, and shall hear: who has told them these things? Out of love to you I have fulfilled your desire on Babylon, to abolish the seed of the Chaldeans.
15 Siak, nasaokon, wen, pinaayabakon isuna, inyegkon isuna, ket agballiginto.
I have spoken, I have called, I have brought him, and made his way prosperous.
16 Umasidegkayo kaniak, dumngegkayo iti daytoy; manipud idi punganay saanak a nagsao iti nalimed; no mapasamak daytoy, addaak sadiay; ket ita imbaonnak ni Apo a Yahweh, ken ti Espirituna.”
Draw near to me, and hear you these words; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning: when it took place, there was I, and now the Lord, [even] the Lord, and his Spirit, has sent me.
17 Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh, a Mannubbotyo, a Nasantoan a Dios ti Israel, “Siak ni Yahweh a Diosyo, a mangisursuro kadakayo no kasano ti agballigi, a mangidaldalan kadakayo iti rumbeng a dalan a papananyo.
Thus says the Lord that delivered you, the Holy One of Israel; I am your God, I have shown you how you should find the way wherein you should walk.
18 No tinungpalyo laeng koma dagiti bilbilinko! Ket nagayus koma a kasla karayan ti kapia ken panagrang-ayyo, ken ti pannakaisalakanyo ket kasla kadagiti dalluyon ti baybay.
And if you had listened to my commandments, [then] would your peace have been like a river, and your righteousness as a wave of the sea.
19 Nagbalin koma a kas kaadu ti darat dagiti kaputotanyo, ken dagiti annak kadagiti aanakanyo ket kas kaadu dagiti binukel ti darat; saan koma a napukaw ti naganda iti sangoanak.
Your seed also would have been as the sand, and the offspring of your belly as the dust of the ground: neither now shall you by any means be utterly destroyed, neither shall your name perish before me.
20 Rummuarkayo iti Babilonia! Panawanyo dagiti Caldeo! Ipukkawyo nga iwaragawag daytoy! Ipakaammoyo daytoy, padanunenyo daytoy agingga kadagiti pungto ti daga! Ibagayo, 'Inispal ni Yahweh ni Jacob nga adipenna.'
Go forth of Babylon, you that flee from the Chaldeans: utter aloud a voice of joy, and let this be made known, proclaim it to the end of the earth; say you, The Lord has delivered his servant Jacob.
21 Saanda a nawaw idi inturongna ida kadagiti disierto; pinagayusna ti danum manipud iti bato para kadakuada; binittakna ti bato ket pimsuak ti danum.
And if they shall thirst, he shall lead them through the desert; he shall bring forth water to them out of the rock: the rock shall be cloven, and the water shall flow forth, and my people shall drink.
22 Awan iti talna para kadagiti nadangkes—kuna ni Yahweh.”
There is no joy, says the Lord, to the ungodly.
