< Jeremias 50 >

1 Daytoy ti sao nga impakaammo ni Yahweh maipapan iti Babilonia, a daga dagiti Caldeo, babaen iti ima ni profeta Jeremias,
This is the word that Yahweh declared about Babylon, the land of the Chaldeans, by the hand of Jeremiah the prophet,
2 “Ipakaammom kadagiti nasion ken pagdengngegem ida. Mangingatoka iti pagilasinan ket pagdengngegem ida. Saanmo nga ilemmeng daytoy. Kunam, 'Naparmeken ti Babilonia. Naibabainen ni Bel. Naupayen ni Merodak. Naibabainen dagiti didiosen daytoy; naupayen dagiti imahen daytoy.'
“Report to the nations and cause them to listen. Lift up a signal and cause them to listen. Do not conceal it. Say, 'Babylon is taken. Bel is made ashamed. Marduk is dismayed. Its idols are put to shame; its images are dismayed.'
3 Bumangonto ti maysa a nasion manipud iti amianan a bumusor iti daytoy, tapno pagbalinenna a langalang ti daga. Awanto a pulos ti agnaed iti daytoy tao man wenno ayup. Tumaraydanto.
A nation from the north will arise against it, and make her land a desolation. No one will live in it; both man and beast will flee away.
4 Kadagidiay nga al-aldaw ken iti dayta a tiempo— daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh—aguummongto nga agsangit dagiti tattao ti Israel ken dagiti tattao ti Juda ken sapulenda ni Yahweh a Diosda.
In those days and at that time—this is Yahweh's declaration—the people of Israel and the people of Judah will come together to go with weeping and seek Yahweh their God.
5 Saludsodendanto ti dalan nga agturong iti Sion ket agsaganada nga agturong sadiay. Mapandanto makipagmaymaysa kenni Yahweh iti agnanayon a katulagan a saanto a malipat.
They will ask the way to Zion and will set off toward it, saying, We will go and join ourselves to Yahweh in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten.”
6 Naiyaw-awan nga arban dagiti tattaok. Inyaw-awan ida dagiti pastorda kadagiti kabanbantayan; pinaglikaw-likawda ida kadagiti turturod. Pimmanawda, nalipatanda ti lugar a nagnanaedanda.
My people have been a lost flock. Their shepherds have led them astray in the mountains; they have turned them around from hill to hill. They went, they forgot the place where they had lived.
7 a napan kadakuada ket inalun-onda ida. Kinuna dagiti kabusorda, 'Saantayo a nakabasol, gapu ta nagbasolda kenni Yahweh, a pudpudno a pagtaenganda— ni Yahweh, a namnama dagiti kapuonanda.'
Everyone who went out to them devoured them. Their adversaries said, 'We are not guilty, because they sinned against Yahweh, their true home—Yahweh, the hope of their ancestors.'
8 Pumanawkayo iti tengnga ti Babilonia; rummuarkayo manipud iti daga dagiti Caldeo; agbalinkayo koma a kasla kadagiti kalakian a kalding nga umun-una a pumanaw sakbay a rummuar dagiti dadduma iti arban.
Leave from the midst of Babylon; go out from the land of the Chaldeans; be like male goats that leave before the rest of the flock does.
9 Ta kitaenyo, ngannganikon pagtignayen ken bangonen ti maysa a bunggoy dagiti nabileg a nasion manipud iti amianan a maibusor iti Babilonia. Agsaganada a bumusor iti daytoy. Maparmekto ti Babilonia manipud sadiay. Dagiti panada ket kasla maysa a nalaing a mannakigubat a saan nga agsubli nga ima-ima.
For see, I am about to set in motion and raise up a group of great nations from the north against Babylon. They will arrange themselves against her. Babylon will be captured from there. Their arrows are like a skilled warrior who does not return empty-handed.
10 Agbalinto a samsam ti Caldeo. Mapnekto amin a mangsamsam iti daytoy—daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh.
Chaldea will become plunder. All those who plunder it will be satisfied—this is Yahweh's declaration.
11 Agragrag-okayo, ramrambakanyo ti pannakasamsam ti tawidko; aglaglagtokayo a kasla maysa nga urbon a baka nga aglanglang-ay iti pagarabanna; aggargaraigikayo a kasla maysa a napigsa a kabalio.
You rejoice, you celebrate the plundering of my inheritance; you jump around like a calf stamping in its pasture; you neigh like a powerful horse.
12 Ngem maibabainto unay ti inayo; maibabainto ti nangipasngay kadakayo. Kitaenyo, agbalinto isuna a kanunomoan kadagiti nasion, maysa a let-ang, maysa a natikag a daga ken maysa a disierto.
So your mother will be greatly ashamed; the one who bore you will be embarrassed. See, she will be the least of nations, a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
13 Gapu iti pungtot ni Yahweh, Saanto a mapagnaedan ti Babilonia, ngem agbalinto a naan-anay a nadadael. Agpigergerto amin a lumabas gapu iti Babilonia ken agsakuntipto gapu kadagiti amin a sugat daytoy.
Because of Yahweh's anger, Babylon will not be inhabited, but will be a complete devastation. Everyone who passes by will shudder because of Babylon and will hiss because all of its wounds.
14 Agsaganakayo a manglawlaw iti Babilonia. Amin a mangibiat iti panana ket masapul a panaenna daytoy. Saankayo a mangibati kadagiti panayo, ta nagbasol daytoy a maibusor kenni Yahweh.
Arrange yourselves against Babylon all around her. Everyone who bends a bow must shoot at her. Do not keep back any of your arrows, for she has sinned against Yahweh.
15 Agpukkawkayo a sibaballigi a maibusor iti Babilonia iti amin nga aglawlawna. Inrukmanan ti kinabilegna; narpuogen dagiti torrena. Narban dagiti paderna, ta kastoy ti panangibales ni Yahweh. Agibaleskayo iti daytoy! Aramidenyo iti daytoy ti kas iti inaramidna kadagiti dadduma a nasion!
Raise a shout against her all around! She has surrendered; her towers have fallen; her walls are torn down, for this is Yahweh's vengeance. Take vengeance on her! Do to her just as she has done!
16 Dadaelenyo nga agpada dagiti agmulmula ken dagiti agus-usar iti kumpay iti tiempo ti panagaapit idiay Babilonia. Agsubli koma ti tunggal tao iti bukodna a tattao manipud iti kampilan ti mangidadanes; agsublida koma iti bukodda a daga.
Destroy both the farmer who sows seed and the one who uses a sickle at the time of harvest in Babylon. Let each person turn back to his own people from the oppressor's sword; let them flee to their own land.
17 Ti Israel ket naiwarawara a karnero ken binugaw dagiti leon. Ti ari ti Asiria ti immuna a nangalun-on iti daytoy; ket kalpasan daytoy, tinukkol ni Nebucadnesar nga ari ti Babilonia dagiti tulangna.
Israel is a sheep scattered and driven away by lions. First the king of Assyria devoured him; then after this, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon broke his bones.
18 Ngarud, ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, a Dios ti Israel, kastoy ti kuna: Kitaem, ngannganin ti tiempo a panangdusak iti ari ti Babilonia ken ti dagana, a kas iti panangdusak iti ari ti Asiria.
Therefore Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, says this: See, I am about to punish the king of Babylon and his land, just as I punished the king of Assyria.
19 Isublikto ti Israel iti dagana; Agarabto isuna idiay Carmel ken Basan. Ket mapnekto isuna idiay turod a pagilian ti Efraim ken Galaad.
I will restore Israel to his homeland; he will graze on Carmel and Bashan. Then he will be satisfied in the hill country of Ephraim and Gilead.
20 Kadagidiay nga al-aldaw ken iti dayta a tiempo, kuna ni Yahweh, agbirokdanto iti nakaro a basol ti Israel, ngem awanto iti masarakan. Agsaludsodakto maipapan kadagiti basol ti Juda, ngem awanto iti masarakan, ta pakawanekto dagiti natda nga imbatik.”
In those days and at that time, says Yahweh, iniquity will be looked for in Israel, but none will be found. I will inquire about the sins of Judah, but none will be found, for I will forgive the remnant that I spare.”
21 “Tumakderka a maibusor iti daga ti Merataim, maibusor iti daytoy ken kadagiti agnanaed iti Pekod. Papatayem ida babaen iti kampilan ken ilasinmo ida para iti pannakadadael— daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh— aramidem amin a banbanag nga ibilbilinko kenka.
“Arise against the land of Merathaim, against it and the ones inhabiting Pekod. Put them to the sword and set them apart for destruction—this is Yahweh's declaration—do everything that I am commanding you.
22 Ti daranudor ti gubat ken ti nakaro a pannakadadael ket adda iti daga.
The sounds of battle and enormous destruction are in the land.
23 Anian a pannakadadael ti martilio dagiti amin a daga. Anian ta nagbalin ti Babilonia a pagbutbutngan dagiti nasion.
How the hammer of all the lands has been cut apart and destroyed. How Babylon has become a destroyed place among the nations.
24 Nangisaganaak iti silo para kenka. Natiliwka Babilonia, ket saanmo nga ammo daytoy! Nasarakanka ket tiniliwka, agsipud ta kinaritnak, siak a ni Yahweh.
I have set a trap for you and you were taken, Babylon, and you did not know it! You were found and captured, because you opposed Yahweh.
25 Linukatan ni Yahweh ti pagiduldulinan ti armasna ket inruarna dagiti igamna gapu iti pungtotna. Adda trabaho ni Yahweh nga Apo a Mannakabalin-amin idiay daga dagiti Caldeo.
Yahweh has opened his armory and is bringing out the weapons for carrying out his anger. There is work for the Lord Yahweh of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.
26 Rautem ti Babilonia manipud iti adayo. Lukatam dagiti garongna ken ummungem daytoy a kasla gabsuon iti bukbukel. Ilasinmo isuna para iti pannakadadael. Awan iti ibatim kenkuana.
Attack her from far away. Open her granaries and pile her up like heaps of grain. Set her apart for destruction. Leave no remnant of her.
27 Patayem amin dagiti bulogna. Ibaonmo ida iti lugar a pagpatpatayan. Asida pay, ta dimtengen ti aldawda— ti tiempo a pannakadusada.
Kill all her bulls. Send them down to the place of slaughter. Woe to them, for their day has come—the time for their punishment.
28 Adda iti dalagudog dagiti agtataray, dagiti nakalasat, manipud iti daga ti Babilonia. Ipadamag dagitoy ti panagibales ni Yahweh a Diostayo para iti Sion, ken panagibales para iti templona.”
There is the sound of those fleeing, of those who are survivors, from the land of Babylon. These will report the vengeance of Yahweh our God for Zion, and vengeance for his temple.”
29 Paayabam dagiti pumapana a maibusor iti Babilonia— dagiti amin a mangibibiat iti panada. Agkampokayo a maibusor iti Babilonia, ket saanyo nga ipalubos nga adda makalibas. Pagbayadenyo isuna iti inaramidna. Aramidenyo kenkuana ti kas iti inaramidna. Ta tinulawanna ni Yahweh, a Nasantoan ti Israel.
“Summon the archers against Babylon—all those who bend their bows. Camp against her, and let no one escape. Repay her for what she has done. Do to her by the measure she has used. For she had defied Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel.
30 Isu a maidasayto dagiti agtutubona a lallaki kadagiti paguummongan a disso iti siudad, ken madadaelto amin dagiti mannakigubatna a lallaki iti dayta nga aldaw— daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh.”
So her young men will fall in the city squares, and all her fighting men will be destroyed on that day —this is Yahweh's declaration.”
31 Kitaem, maibusorak kenka, sika a natangsit—daytoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh nga Apo a Mannakabalin-amin—ta dimtengen ti aldawmo, sika a natangsit, ti tiempo a dusaenka.
“See, I am against you, proud one—this is the declaration of the Lord Yahweh of hosts— for your day has come, proud one, the time when I will punish you.
32 Isu a maitibkol ken matumbanto dagiti natangsit. Awanto ti mangibangon kadakuada. Mangpasgedakto iti apuy kadagiti siudadda; Alun-unento daytoy dagiti amin a banag iti aglawlawna.
So the proud ones will stumble and fall. No one will raise them up. I will light a fire in their cities; it will devour everything around him.
33 Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin: Maparparigat dagiti tattao ti Israel, a kaduada dagiti tattao ti Juda. Amin a nangtiliw kadakuada ket tengtenglenda pay laeng ida; agkedkedda a mangwayawaya kadakuada.
Yahweh of hosts says this: The people of Israel are oppressed, together with the people of Judah. All the ones who captured them still hold them; they refuse to let them go.
34 Nabileg ti mangis-ispal kadakuada. Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin ti naganna. Pudno nga ikanawananto ida, tapno iyegna ti inana iti daga, ken iyegna ti riribuk kadagiti agnanaed iti Babilonia.
The one who rescues them is strong. Yahweh of hosts is his name. He will truly plead their case, in order to bring rest to the land, and to bring strife to the ones inhabiting Babylon.
35 Adda kampilan a maibusor kadagiti Caldeo — kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh—ken maibusor kadagiti agnanaed iti Babilonia, kadagiti mangidadaulona, ken dagiti mamasiribna a lallaki.
A sword is against the Chaldeans—this is Yahweh's declaration— and against the inhabitants of Babylon, her leaders, and her wise men.
36 Adda kampilan nga umay a maibusor kadagiti agipadpadles, tapno ipakitada a mismo a maagda. Adda kampilan nga umay a maibusor kadagiti soldadona, isu a mabutengdanto la unay.
A sword against those who say empty words! They will become fools! A sword against her soldiers! They will be filled with terror.
37 Adda kampilan nga umay a maibusor kadagiti kabalioda, kadagiti karuaheda ken kadagiti amin a tattao nga adda iti tengnga ti Babilonia, isu nga agbalindanto a kasla babbai. Adda kampilan nga umay a maibusor kadagiti kamaligna, ket masamsamandanto.
A sword is coming against their horses, their chariots and all of the people who are in the midst of Babylon, so they will become like women. A sword is coming against her storerooms, and they will be plundered.
38 Adda kampilan nga umay a maibusor kadagiti danumna, isu a matianandanto. Ta ti Babilonia ket maysa a daga dagiti awan serserbina a didiosen, ken agtigtignayda a kas kadagiti tattao a pinagbagtit dagiti nakabutbuteng nga imahenda.
A drought is coming on her waters, so they will become dry. For she is a land of worthless idols, and they act like people made insane by their dreadful idols.
39 Agnaedto ngarud sadiay dagiti ayup ti desierto a kadua dagiti atap nga aso, ken agnaedto iti daytoy dagiti piyek dagiti ostrich. Ta iti amin a tiempo, saanton a mapagnaedan daytoy. Iti amin a henerasion, awanto iti agnaed iti daytoy.
So desert beasts with the jackals will inhabit there, and the young of ostriches will live in her. For all time, she will no longer be inhabited. From generation to generation, she will not be lived in.
40 Kas iti panangdadael ti Dios iti Sodoma ken Gomorra ken kadagiti kaarrubada— daytoy ket pakaammo ni Yahweh— awanto iti agnaed sadiay; awanto ti tao nga aggian iti daytoy.”
Just as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighbors—this is Yahweh's declaration— no one will live there; no person will stay in her.”
41 Kitaem, adda tattao nga umay manipud idiay amianan, ta agsagsagana ti maysa a nabileg a nasion ken dagiti adu nga ari manipud iti adayo a daga.
“See, a people is coming from the north; a great nation and many kings are being stirred up from the farthest parts of the earth.
42 Nakaiggemdanto kadagiti pana ken gaygayang. Nauyongda ken awan iti asida. Ti daranudorda ket kasla ungor ti baybay, ken nakasakayda kadagiti kabalio a nakasagana a kas kadagiti mannakigubat a lallaki, a maibusor kenka, annak a babbai ti Babilonia.
They will pick up bows and spears. They are cruel and have no compassion. Their sound is like the sea roar, and they are riding on horses, set out in order as men for battle, against you, daughter of Babylon.
43 Nangngeg ti ari ti Babilonia ti impadamagda ket kimmapsut dagiti imana gapu iti ladingit. Napalalo nga ut-ot ti marikriknana a kas iti agpaspasikal a babai.
The king of Babylon heard the reports about them and his hands fell limp in distress. Anguish seized him like a woman giving birth.
44 Adtoy! Sumangsang-at isuna a kasla leon manipud kadagiti kabanbantayan ti Jordan nga agturong iti nalangto a pagaraban, ta pagtarayekto ida a dagus manipud iti daytoy, ket mangisaadakto iti maysa a tao a mangimaton iti daytoy. Ta adda kadi iti kas kaniak, ken adda kadi iti makapaayab kaniak? Adda kadi agpaspastor a makabael nga agkedked kaniak?
Behold! He goes up like a lion from the heights of the Jordan to the enduring grazing place For I will quickly cause them to run from it, and I will put someone who will be chosen in charge of it. For who is like me, and who will summon me? What shepherd is able to resist me?
45 Isu a denggenyo dagiti panggep nga inkeddeng ni Yahweh a maibusor iti Babilonia, dagiti plano a pinanggepna a maibusor iti daga dagiti Caldeo. Maitalawdanto, uray dagiti kababassitan nga arban. Agbalinto a langalang dagiti pagpaarabanda.
So listen to the plans that Yahweh has decided against Babylon, the plans that he has planned against the land of the Chaldeans. They will certainly be dragged away, even the smallest flock. Their pasturelands will be turned into ruined places.
46 Iti daranudor ti pannakaparmek ti Babilonia aggingined ti daga, ken ti riyaw ti pannakaparigatda ket mangngeg kadagiti nasion.”
At the sound of conquered Babylon the earth shakes, and their shout of distress is heard among the nations.”
