Esodo 4

1 E Mosè rispose, e disse: Ma ecco, essi non mi crederanno, e non ubbidiranno alla mia voce; perciocchè diranno: Il Signore non ti è apparito.

Moyses answeride, and seide, The comyns schulen not bileue to me, nether thei schulen here my vois; but thei schulen seie, The Lord apperide not to thee.

2 E il Signore gli disse: Che cosa [è] questa [che] tu [hai] in mano? Ed egli rispose: Una bacchetta.

Therfor the Lord seide to hym, What is this that thou holdist in thin hond? Moises answeride, A yerde.

3 E il Signore [gli] disse: Gittala in terra. Ed egli la gittò in terra; ed ella divenne un serpente; e Mosè fuggì d'innanzi a quello.

And the Lord seide, Caste it forth into erthe; and he castide forth, and it was turned in to a serpent, so that Moises fledde.

4 Ma il Signore disse a Mosè: Stendi la tua mano, e prendilo per la coda. Ed egli stese la mano, e lo prese; ed esso divenne bacchetta nella sua mano.

And the Lord seide, Holde forth thin hond, and take the tail therof; he stretchide forth, and helde, and it was turned in to a yerde.

5 [Così farai, disse Iddio], acciocchè credano che il Signore Iddio de' lor padri, l'Iddio di Abrahamo, l'Iddio d'Isacco e l'Iddio di Giacobbe, ti è apparito.

And the Lord seide, That thei bileue, that the Lord God of thi fadris apperide to thee, God of Abraham, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob.

6 Il Signore gli disse ancora: Mettiti ora la mano in seno. Ed egli si mise la mano in seno; poi, trattala fuori, ecco, la sua mano [era] lebbrosa, [bianca] come neve.

And the Lord seide eft, Putte thin hond in to thi bosum; and whanne he hadde put it in to the bosum, he brouyte forth it leprouse, at the licnesse of snow.

7 Poi [gli] disse: Rimettiti la mano in seno. Ed egli si rimise la mano in seno; poi, trattasela fuor del seno, ecco, era tornata come [l'altra] sua carne.

The Lord seide, Withdrawe thin hond in to thi bosum; he withdrow, and brouyte forth eft, and it was lijc the tother fleisch.

8 Se dunque, [disse il Signore], non ti credono, e non ubbidiscono alla [tua] voce al primo segno, ubbidiranno alla [tua] voce, al secondo segno.

The Lord seide, If thei schulen not bileue to thee, nether schulen here the word of the formere signe, thei schulen bileue to the word of the signe suynge;

9 E se egli avviene che non pure a questi due segni credano, e non ubbidiscano alla tua voce; allora prendi dell'acqua del fiume, e spandi[la] in su l'asciutto; e l'acqua che tu avrai presa dal fiume diventerà sangue in su l'asciutto.

that if thei bileuen not sotheli to these twei signes, nether heren thi vois, take thou watir of the flood, and schedde out it on the drie lond, and what euer thing thou schalt drawe vp of the flood, it schal be turned in to blood.

10 E Mosè disse al Signore: Ahi! Signore, io non [son mai] per addietro [stato] uomo ben parlante, non pur da che tu parlasti al tuo servitore; conciossiachè io [sia] tardo di bocca e di lingua.

Moises seide, Lord, Y biseche, Y am `not eloquent fro yistirdai and the thridde dai ago; and sithen thou hast spokun to thi seruaunt, Y am of more lettid and slowere tunge.

11 E il Signore gli disse: Chi ha posta la bocca all'uomo? ovvero, chi fa il mutolo, o il sordo, o colui che ha gli occhi, e gli orecchi aperti, o il cieco? non [son desso] io, il Signore?

The Lord seide to hym, Who made the mouth of man, ether who made a doumb man and `deef, seynge and blynd? whether not Y?

12 Ora dunque va', ed io sarò con la tua bocca, e t'insegnerò ciò che avrai a dire.

Therfor go thou, and Y schal be in thi mouth, and Y schal teche thee what thou schalt speke.

13 E [Mosè] disse: Ahi! Signore; deh! manda [a far questo] per colui [il qual] tu hai a mandare.

And he seide, Lord, Y biseche, sende thou whom thou schalt sende.

14 Allora l'ira del Signore si accese contro a Mosè; ed egli gli disse: Non so io che Aaronne, tuo fratello, Levita, è [uomo] ben parlante? e anche, ecco, egli se n'esce fuori a incontrarti; e, veggendoti, si rallegrerà nel suo cuore.

And the Lord was wrooth ayens Moises, and seide, Y woot, that Aaron, thi brother, of the lynage of Leuy, is eloquent; lo! he schal go out in to thi comyng, and he schal se thee, and schal be glad in herte.

15 Parlagli adunque, e mettigli in bocca queste parole, ed io sarò con la tua bocca, e con la sua, e v'insegnerò [ciò] che avrete a fare.

Speke thou to hym, and putte thou my wordis in his mouth, and Y schal be in thi mouth, and in the mouth of hym; and Y schal schewe to you what ye owen to do.

16 Ed egli parlerà per te al popolo; e così egli ti sarà in luogo di bocca, e tu gli sarai in luogo di Dio.

He schal speke for thee to the puple, and he schal be thi mouth; forsothe thou schalt be to him in these thingis, that perteynen to God.

17 Or prendi questa bacchetta in mano, acciocchè con essa tu faccia que' segni.

Also take thou this yerde in thin hond, in which thou schalt do myraclis.

18 MOSÈ adunque andò; e, ritornato a Ietro, suo suocero, gli disse: Deh! [lascia] che io me ne vada, e ritorni a' miei fratelli che [sono] in Egitto e vegga se sono ancora vivi. E Ietro gli disse: Vattene in pace.

Moises yede, and turnede ayen to Jetro, his wyues fadir, and seide to hym, Y schal go, and turne ayen to my britheren in to Egipt, that Y se, whether thei lyuen yit. To whom Jetro seide, Go thou in pees.

19 Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè nel [paese di] Madian: Va', ritornatene in Egitto; perciocchè tutti coloro che cercavano l'anima tua son morti.

Therfor the Lord seide to Moyses in Madian, Go thou, and turne ayen into Egipt; for alle thei ben deed that souyten thi lijf.

20 Mosè adunque prese la sua moglie e i suoi figliuoli; e, postili sopra degli asini, se ne ritornava in Egitto. Mosè prese ancora la bacchetta di Dio nella sua mano.

Moises took his wijf, and hise sones, and puttide hem on an asse, and he turnede ayen in to Egipt, and bar the yerde of God in his hond.

21 E il Signore disse a Mosè: Poichè tu te ne vai per ritornare in Egitto, vedi, fa' davanti a Faraone tutti i miracoli che io ti ho posti in mano; ma io gl'indurerò il cuore, talchè egli non lascerà andare il popolo.

And the Lord seide to hym turnynge ayen in to Egipt, Se, that thou do alle wondris, whiche Y haue put in thin hond, bifore Farao; Y schal make hard his herte, and he schal not delyuere the puple; and thou schalt seie to hym,

22 E tu dirai a Faraone: Così dice il Signore: Israele [è] mio figliuolo, il mio primogenito.

The Lord seith these thingis, My firste gendrid sone is Israel;

23 Or io ti ho detto: Lascia andare il mio figliuolo, acciocchè mi serva; e tu hai ricusato di lasciarlo andare; ecco, io uccido il tuo figliuolo, il tuo primogenito.

Y seide to thee, delyuere thou my sone, that he serue me, and thou noldist delyuere hym; lo! Y schal sle thi firste gendrid sone.

24 Ora, [essendo Mosè] per cammino, in un albergo, il Signore l'incontrò, e cercava di farlo morire.

And whanne Moises was in the weie, in an yn, the Lord cam to him, and wolde sle hym.

25 E Sippora prese una selce tagliente, e tagliò il prepuzio del suo figliuolo, e lo gittò a' piedi di Mosè, e disse: Certo tu mi [sei] uno sposo di sangue.

Sefora took anoon a moost scharp stoon, and circumcidide the yerde of hir sone; and sche towchide `the feet of Moises, and seide, Thou art an hosebonde of bloodis to me.

26 E [il Signore] lo lasciò. Allora ella disse: Sposo di sangue, per le circoncisioni.

And he lefte hym, aftir that sche hadde seid, Thou art an hosebonde of bloodis to me for circumcisioun.

27 E il Signore disse ad Aaronne: Va' incontro a Mosè verso il deserto. Ed egli andò, e lo scontrò, al Monte di Dio, e lo baciò.

Forsothe the Lord seide to Aaron, Go thou in to the comyng of Moises in to deseert; which yede ayens Moises in to the hil of God, and kisside him.

28 E Mosè dichiarò ad Aaronne tutte le parole del Signore, [per] le quali lo mandava, e tutti i segni che gli avea comandato [di fare].

And Moises telde to Aaron alle the wordis of the Lord, for whiche he hadde sent Moises; and `he telde the myraclis, whiche the Lord hadde comaundid.

29 Mosè adunque, ed Aaronne, andarono, e adunarono tutti gli Anziani de' figliuoli d'Israele.

And thei camen togidere, and gaderiden alle the eldere men of the sones of Israel.

30 E Aaronne annunziò [loro] tutte le parole che il Signore avea dette a Mosè, e fece que' segni nel cospetto del popolo.

And Aaron spak alle the wordis, whiche the Lord hadde seid to Moises, and he dide the signes bifore the puple;

31 E il popolo credette, e intese che il Signore visitava i figliuoli d'Israele; e ch'egli avea veduta la loro afflizione. Ed essi s'inchinarono, e adorarono.

and the puple bileuede; and thei herden, that the Lord hadde visitid the sones of Israel, and that he hadde biholde the turment of hem; and thei worschipiden lowe.
