Isaia 15
1 CERTO, Ar di Moab è stato saccheggiato, [e] distrutto di notte; certo di notte è stato saccheggiato, [e] distrutto Chir di Moab.
THE WORD AGAINST THE LAND OF MOAB. By night the land of Moab shall be destroyed; for by night the wall of the land of Moab shall be destroyed.
2 Egli è salito al tempio, e Dibon [è salito] agli alti luoghi, per piangere; Moab urlerà per Nebo, e per Medeba; tutte le teste di esso saranno pelate, ed ogni barba sarà rasa.
Grieve for yourselves; for even Debon, where your altar is, shall be destroyed: thither shall ye go up to weep, over Nabau of the land of Moab: howl ye: baldness shall be on every head, [and] all arms [shall be] wounded.
3 Essi si cingeranno di sacchi per le sue strade; tutti quanti urleranno sopra i suoi tetti, e nelle sue piazze, struggendosi in pianto.
Gird yourselves with sackcloth in her streets: and lament upon her roofs, and in her streets, and in her ways; howl all of you with weeping.
4 Hesbon ed Eleale han gridato; la lor voce è stata udita infino a Iahas; perciò, la gente di guerra di Moab ha fatto un gran gridare; l'anima loro si è rammaricata.
For Esebon and Eleale have cried: their voice was heard to Jassa: therefore the loins of the region of Moab cry aloud; her soul shall know.
5 Il cuor mio sclama per Moab; i suoi fuggenti [se ne son fuggiti] infino a Soar, [come] una giovenca di tre anni; percioccè si salirà per la salita di Luhit con pianto, e si leverà un grido di fracasso nella via di Horonaim.
The heart of the region of Moab cries within her to Segor; for it is [as] a heifer of three years old: and on the ascent of Luith they shall go up to thee weeping by the way of Aroniim: she cries, Destruction, and trembling.
6 Perciocchè le acque di Nimrim saranno [ridotte in] luoghi deserti; e l'erba si seccherà, e l'erbaggio mancherà, [e] non vi sarà [più] alcuna verdura.
The water of Nemerim shall be desolate, and the grass thereof shall fail: for there shall be no green grass.
7 Perciò, quello ch'egli avrà riserbato, e ciò che avranno riposto, sarà portato nella valle degli Arabi.
Shall [Moab] even thus be delivered? for I [will] bring the Arabians upon the valley, and they shall take it.
8 Perciocchè le grida han circondati i confini di Moab, il suo urlo [è andato] infino ad Eglaim, il suo urlo [è andato] infino a Beer-elim.
For the cry has reached the border of the region of Moab, [even] of Agalim; and her howling [has gone] as far as the well of Aelim.
9 E le acque di Dimon sono state ripiene di sangue; perciocchè io aggiungerò [mali sopra mali] a Dimon; [io manderò] il leone contro quelli che saranno scampati di Moab, e contro al rimanente del paese.
And the water of Dimon shall be filled with blood: for I will bring Arabians upon Dimon, and I will take away the seed of Moab, and Ariel, and the remnant of Adama.
