Giosué 17

1 E LA sorte che [scadde] alla tribù di Manasse (quantunque egli fosse il primogenito di Giuseppe), [fu questa: Alla nazione di] Machir, primogenito di Manasse, padre di Galaad, perchè [erano] uomini di guerra, scadde Galaad, e Basan.

And it belonged the lot to [the] tribe of Manasseh for he [was] [the] firstborn of Joseph to Makir [the] firstborn of Manasseh [the] father of Gilead for he he was a man of war and it belonged to him Gilead and Bashan.

2 Poi scadde [la sorte] agli altri figliuoli di Manasse, secondo le lor nazioni, [cioè: ] a' figliuoli di Abiezer, e a' figliuoli di Helec, e a' figliuoli di Asriel, e a' figliuoli di Sechem, e a' figliuoli di Hefer, e a' figliuoli di Semida. Questi [furono] i figliuoli maschi di Manasse, figliuoli di Giuseppe, [distinti] per le lor nazioni.

And it belonged to [the] descendants of Manasseh who remained to clans their to [the] descendants of Abiezer and to [the] descendants of Helek and to [the] descendants of Asriel and to [the] descendants of Shechem and to [the] descendants of Hepher and to [the] descendants of Shemida these [were] [the] descendants of Manasseh [the] son of Joseph the males to clans their.

3 Or Selofad, figliuolo di Hefer, figliuolo di Galaad, figliuolo di Machir, figliuolo di Manasse, non ebbe figliuoli, ma [sol] figliuole; delle quali i nomi [sono] Mahala, Noa, Hogla, Milca e Tirsa.

And to Zelophehad [the] son of Hepher [the] son of Gilead [the] son of Makir [the] son of Manasseh not they belonged to him sons that except daughters and these [are] [the] names of daughters his Mahlah and Noah Hoglah Milcah and Tirzah.

4 Ed esse si presentarono davanti al Sacerdote Eleazaro, e davanti a Giosuè, figliuolo di Nun, e davanti a' principali, dicendo: Il Signore comandò a Mosè di darci eredità per mezzo i nostri fratelli. [Giosuè] adunque diede loro eredità per mezzo i fratelli di lor padre, secondo il comandamento del Signore.

And they drew near before Eleazar the priest and before - Joshua [the] son of Nun and before the leaders saying Yahweh he commanded Moses to give to us an inheritance in among brothers our and he gave to them to [the] mouth of Yahweh an inheritance in among [the] brothers of father their.

5 Scaddero adunque dieci parti a Manasse, oltre al paese di Galaad e di Basan, ch'[è] di là dal Giordano;

And they fell [the] allotted portions of Manasseh ten apart from [the] land of Gilead and Bashan which [is] from [the] other side of the Jordan.

6 perciocchè [quelle] figliuole di Manasse ebbero eredità per mezzo i figliuoli di esso; e il paese di Galaad fu per lo rimanente de' figliuoli di Manasse.

For [the] daughters of Manasseh they inherited an inheritance in among sons his and [the] land of Gilead it belonged to [the] descendants of Manasseh who remained.

7 E il confine di Manasse, [dal lato] di Aser, fu Micmetat, che [è] dirimpetto a Sichem; poi questo confine andava a man destra verso gli abitanti di Entappua.

And it was [the] border of Manasseh from Asher Micmethath which [is] on [the] face of Shechem and it goes the border to the south to [the] inhabitants of En Tappuah.

8 Il paese di Tappua fu di Manasse; ma Tappua, [che è] a' confini di Manasse, [fu] de' figliuoli di Efraim.

To Manasseh it belonged [the] land of Tappuah and Tappuah to [the] border of Manasseh [belonged] to [the] descendants of Ephraim.

9 Poi quel confine scendeva alla Valle delle canne; le città dal lato meridionale di detta valle [furono] di Efraim, per mezzo le città di Manasse; ma il confine di Manasse [fu] dal Settentrione di essa valle, e faceva capo al mare.

And it goes down the border [the] wadi of Kanah [the] south towards to the wadi cities these [belonged] to Ephraim in among [the] cities of Manasseh and [the] border of Manasseh [was] from [the] north of the wadi and it was extremities its the sea towards.

10 [Quello ch'era] verso il Mezzodì [fu] di Efraim, e [quello ch'era] verso il Settentrione [fu] di Manasse; e il mare era il lor confine; e dal Settentrione confinavano con Ascer, e dall'Oriente con Issacar.

South-ward [belonged] to Ephraim and north-ward [belonged] to Manasseh and it was the sea border its and Asher they touch! from [the] north and Issachar from [the] east.

11 E Manasse ebbe in quel d'Issacar, e in quel di Aser, Bet-sean, e le terre del suo territorio; e Ibleam, e le terre del suo territorio; e gli abitanti di Dor, e le terre del suo territorio; e gli abitanti di Endor, e le terre del suo territorio; e gli abitanti di Taanac, e le terre del suo territorio; e gli abitanti di Meghiddo, e le terre del suo territorio; [che sono] tre contrade.

And it belonged to Manasseh in Issachar and in Asher Beth Shean and daughters its and Ibleam and daughters its and [the] inhabitants of Dor and daughters its and [the] inhabitants of En-dor and daughters its and [the] inhabitants of Taanach and daughters its and [the] inhabitants of Megiddo and daughters its [the] three of Napheth.

12 Or i figliuoli di Manasse non poterono scacciar [gli abitanti] di quelle città; anzi i Cananei si misero in cuore di abitare in quel paese.

And not they were able [the] descendants of Manasseh to take possession of the cities these and he was determined the Canaanite[s] to dwell in the land this.

13 Ma, dopo che i figliuoli d'Israele si furono rinforzati, fecero tributari i Cananei; ma pur non li scacciarono.

And it was that they became strong [the] people of Israel and they made the Canaanite[s] forced labor and certainly not he dispossessed him.

14 Or i figliuoli di Giuseppe parlarono a Giosuè, dicendo: Perchè mi hai tu data per eredità una [sola] sorte, ed una [sola] parte, poichè io [sono] un gran popolo, secondo che il Signore mi ha benedetto infino ad ora?

And they spoke [the] descendants of Joseph with Joshua saying why? have you given to me an inheritance a lot one and a portion one and I [am] a people numerous to that until thus he has blessed me Yahweh.

15 E Giosuè disse loro: Se tu [sei] un gran popolo, sali al bosco, e sboscati [delle terre] nel paese de' Ferizzei, e dei Rafei, poichè il monte di Efraim [è] troppo stretto per te.

And he said to them Joshua if [are] a people numerous you go up for yourself the forest towards and you will cut down for yourself there in [the] land of the Perizzite[s] and the Rephaites that it is narrow for you [the] hill country of Ephraim.

16 E i figliuoli di Giuseppe dissero: Quel monte non ci basta; e in tutte [le città de'] Cananei, che stanno nel paese della pianura, vi sono de' carri di ferro; quelli che [stanno] in Bet-sean, e nelle terre del suo territorio, e quelli che [stanno] nelle valle d'Izreel [ne hanno anch'essi].

And they said [the] descendants of Joseph not it will be found for us the hill country and chariotry of iron [is] among all the Canaanite[s] who dwells in [the] land of the valley to [those] who [are] in Beth Shean and daughters its and to [those] who [are] in [the] valley of Jezreel.

17 Ma Giosuè parlò alla casa di Giuseppe, ad Efraim, ed a Manasse, dicendo: Tu [sei] un gran popolo, ed hai gran forze; tu non avrai una sola porzione.

And he said Joshua to [the] house of Joseph to Ephraim and to Manasseh saying [are] a people numerous you and strength great [belongs] to you not it will belong to you a lot one.

18 Perciocchè il monte sarà tuo, e se [quello è] un bosco, sboscalo, e sarà tuo, quanto egli si stenderà; perciocchè tu ne scaccerai i Cananei, benchè abbiano dei carri di ferro, e sieno potenti.

For [the] hill country it will belong to you for [is] forest it and you will cut down it and it will belong to you extremities its for you will dispossess the Canaanite[s] for chariotry of iron [belongs] to him that [is] strong he.
