箴言 知恵の泉 19
1 ただしく歩むまづしき者は くちびるの悖れる愚なる者に愈る
Better [is] the poor that walketh in his integrity, than [he that is] perverse in his lips, and is a fool.
2 心に思慮なければ善らず 足にて急ぐものは道にまよふ
Also, [that] the soul [be] without knowledge, [it is] not good; and he that hasteth with [his] feet sinneth.
3 人はおのれの痴によりて道につまづき 反て心にヱホバを怨む
The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.
4 資財はおほくの友をあつむ されど貧者はその友に疎まる
Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.
5 虚偽の證人は罰をまぬかれず 謊言をはくものは避るることをえず
A false witness shall not be unpunished, and [he that] speaketh lies shall not escape.
6 君に媚る者はおほし 凡そ人は贈物を與ふる者の友となるなり
Many will intreat the favour of the prince: and every man [is] a friend to him that giveth gifts.
7 貧者はその兄弟すらも皆これをにくむ 况てその友これに遠ざからざらんや 言をはなちてこれを呼とも去てかへらざるなり
All the brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursueth [them with] words, [yet] they [are] wanting [to him].
8 智慧を得る者はおのれの霊魂を愛す 聰明をたもつ者は善福を得ん
He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.
9 虚偽の證人は罰をまぬかれず 謊言をはく者はほろぶべし
A false witness shall not be unpunished, and [he that] speaketh lies shall perish.
10 愚なる者の驕奢に居るは適当からず 况て僕にして上に在る者を治むることをや
Delight is not seemly for a fool; much less for a servant to have rule over princes.
11 聰明は人に怒をしのばしむ 過失を宥すは人の榮譽なり
The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and [it is] his glory to pass over a transgression.
12 王の怒は獅の吼るが如く その恩典は草の上におく露のごとし
The king’s wrath [is] as the roaring of a lion; but his favour [is] as dew upon the grass.
13 愚なる子はその父の災禍なり 妻の相爭そふは雨漏のたえぬにひとし
A foolish son [is] the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife [are] a continual dropping.
14 家と資財とは先祖より承嗣ぐもの 賢き妻はヱホバより賜ふものなり
House and riches [are] the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife [is] from the LORD.
15 懶惰は人を酣寐せしむ 懈怠人は饑べし
Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.
16 誡命を守るものは自己の霊魂を守るなり その道をかろむるものは死ぬべし
He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; [but] he that despiseth his ways shall die.
17 貧者をあはれむ者はヱホバに貸すなり その施濟はヱホバ償ひたまはん
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
18 望ある間に汝の子を打て これを殺すこころを起すなかれ
Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.
19 怒ることの烈しき者は罰をうく 汝もしこれを救ふともしばしば然せざるを得じ
A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver [him], yet thou must do it again.
20 なんぢ勸をきき訓をうけよ 然ばなんぢの終に智慧あらん
Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
21 人の心には多くの計畫あり されど惟ヱホバの旨のみ立べし
[There are] many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.
22 人のよろこびは施濟をするにあり 貧者は謊人に愈る
The desire of a man [is] his kindness: and a poor man [is] better than a liar.
23 ヱホバを畏るることは人をして生命にいたらしめ かつ恒に飽足りて災禍に遇ざらしむ
The fear of the LORD [tendeth] to life: and [he that hath it] shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.
24 惰者はその手を盤にいるるも之をその口に擧ることをだにせず
A slothful [man] hideth his hand in [his] bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.
25 嘲笑者を打て さらば拙者も愼まん 哲者を譴めよ さらばかれ知識を得ん
Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, [and] he will understand knowledge.
26 父を煩はし母を逐ふは羞赧をきたらし凌辱をまねく子なり
He that wasteth [his] father, [and] chaseth away [his] mother, [is] a son that causeth shame, and bringeth reproach.
27 わが子よ哲言を離れしむる敎を聽くことを息めよ
Cease, my son, to hear the instruction [that causeth] to err from the words of knowledge.
28 惡き證人は審判を嘲り 惡者の口は惡を呑む
An ungodly witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity.
29 審判は嘲笑者のために備へられ 鞭は愚なる者の背のために備へらる
Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.
