ルカの福音書 21
1 イエスは目をあげて、金持たちがさいせん箱に献金を投げ入れるのを見られ、
And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
2 また、ある貧しいやもめが、レプタ二つを入れるのを見て
And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
3 言われた、「よく聞きなさい。あの貧しいやもめはだれよりもたくさん入れたのだ。
And he said, Truthfully I say unto you, that this poor widow has cast in more than they all:
4 これらの人たちはみな、ありあまる中から献金を投げ入れたが、あの婦人は、その乏しい中から、持っている生活費全部を入れたからである」。
For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her destitution has cast in all the living that she had.
5 ある人々が、見事な石と奉納物とで宮が飾られていることを話していたので、イエスは言われた、
And as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,
6 「あなたがたはこれらのものをながめているが、その石一つでもくずされずに、他の石の上に残ることもなくなる日が、来るであろう」。
As for these things which all of you behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
7 そこで彼らはたずねた、「先生、では、いつそんなことが起るのでしょうか。またそんなことが起るような場合には、どんな前兆がありますか」。
And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
8 イエスが言われた、「あなたがたは、惑わされないように気をつけなさい。多くの者がわたしの名を名のって現れ、自分がそれだとか、時が近づいたとか、言うであろう。彼らについて行くな。
And he said, Take heed that all of you be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draws near: go all of you not therefore after them.
9 戦争と騒乱とのうわさを聞くときにも、おじ恐れるな。こうしたことはまず起らねばならないが、終りはすぐにはこない」。
But when all of you shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
10 それから彼らに言われた、「民は民に、国は国に敵対して立ち上がるであろう。
Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
11 また大地震があり、あちこちに疫病やききんが起り、いろいろ恐ろしいことや天からの物すごい前兆があるであろう。
And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
12 しかし、これらのあらゆる出来事のある前に、人々はあなたがたに手をかけて迫害をし、会堂や獄に引き渡し、わたしの名のゆえに王や総督の前にひっぱって行くであろう。
But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
13 それは、あなたがたがあかしをする機会となるであろう。
And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
14 だから、どう答弁しようかと、前もって考えておかないことに心を決めなさい。
Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what all of you shall answer:
15 あなたの反対者のだれもが抗弁も否定もできないような言葉と知恵とを、わたしが授けるから。
For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
16 しかし、あなたがたは両親、兄弟、親族、友人にさえ裏切られるであろう。また、あなたがたの中で殺されるものもあろう。
And all of you shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
17 また、わたしの名のゆえにすべての人に憎まれるであろう。
And all of you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
18 しかし、あなたがたの髪の毛一すじでも失われることはない。
But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
19 あなたがたは耐え忍ぶことによって、自分の魂をかち取るであろう。
In your patience possess all of you your souls.
20 エルサレムが軍隊に包囲されるのを見たならば、そのときは、その滅亡が近づいたとさとりなさい。
And when all of you shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21 そのとき、ユダヤにいる人々は山へ逃げよ。市中にいる者は、そこから出て行くがよい。また、いなかにいる者は市内にはいってはいけない。
Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter therein.
22 それは、聖書にしるされたすべての事が実現する刑罰の日であるからだ。
For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23 その日には、身重の女と乳飲み子をもつ女とは、不幸である。地上には大きな苦難があり、この民にはみ怒りが臨み、
But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24 彼らはつるぎの刃に倒れ、また捕えられて諸国へ引きゆかれるであろう。そしてエルサレムは、異邦人の時期が満ちるまで、彼らに踏みにじられているであろう。
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
25 また日と月と星とに、しるしが現れるであろう。そして、地上では、諸国民が悩み、海と大波とのとどろきにおじ惑い、
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 人々は世界に起ろうとする事を思い、恐怖と不安で気絶するであろう。もろもろの天体が揺り動かされるからである。
Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 そのとき、大いなる力と栄光とをもって、人の子が雲に乗って来るのを、人々は見るであろう。
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 これらの事が起りはじめたら、身を起し頭をもたげなさい。あなたがたの救が近づいているのだから」。
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh.
29 それから一つの譬を話された、「いちじくの木を、またすべての木を見なさい。
And he spoke to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30 はや芽を出せば、あなたがたはそれを見て、夏がすでに近いと、自分で気づくのである。
When they now shoot forth, all of you see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31 このようにあなたがたも、これらの事が起るのを見たなら、神の国が近いのだとさとりなさい。
So likewise all of you, when all of you see these things come to pass, know all of you that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32 よく聞いておきなさい。これらの事が、ことごとく起るまでは、この時代は滅びることがない。
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33 天地は滅びるであろう。しかしわたしの言葉は決して滅びることがない。
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words (logos) shall not pass away.
34 あなたがたが放縦や、泥酔や、世の煩いのために心が鈍っているうちに、思いがけないとき、その日がわなのようにあなたがたを捕えることがないように、よく注意していなさい。
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with worldly excess, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unexpectedly.
35 その日は地の全面に住むすべての人に臨むのであるから。
For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 これらの起ろうとしているすべての事からのがれて、人の子の前に立つことができるように、絶えず目をさまして祈っていなさい」。
Watch all of you therefore, and pray always, that all of you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
37 イエスは昼のあいだは宮で教え、夜には出て行ってオリブという山で夜をすごしておられた。
And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.
38 民衆はみな、み教を聞こうとして、いつも朝早く宮に行き、イエスのもとに集まった。
And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, in order to hear him.
