ಇಬ್ರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಬರೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ 12
1 ೧ ಆದಕಾರಣ ಇಷ್ಟು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗುಂಪು ಮೇಘದಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸುತ್ತಲು ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಮಗೆ ಅಭ್ಯಂತರಪಡಿಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಾರವನ್ನೂ, ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ಮುತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಸಹ ನಾವು ತೆಗೆದಿಟ್ಟು, ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವಾತನೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸುವಾತನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಟ್ಟು ನಮಗೆ ನೇಮಕವಾದ ಓಟವನ್ನು ಸಹನೆಯಿಂದ ಓಡೋಣ. ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಸಂತೋಷಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಅಪಮಾನವನ್ನು ಅಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಮಾಡಿ, ಶಿಲುಬೆಯ ಮರಣವನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ದೇವರ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸೀನನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Seeing then that we are encircled with this great cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and the sin that clings about us. Let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 ೨
looking unto Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured a cross, despising shame, and has now taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 ೩ ನೀವು ಮನಗುಂದಿದವರಾಗಿ ಬೇಸರಗೊಳ್ಳದಂತೆ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಯೋಚಿಸಿರಿ. ಆತನು ಪಾಪಿಗಳಿಂದ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ವಿರೋಧವನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
Compare yourselves with him who endured such hostility against himself at the hands of sinners, lest you grow weary, fainting in your souls.
Not yet have you resisted unto blood in your fight against sin;
5 ೫ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳುವಂತೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರೋ? ಅದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ಕರ್ತನ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡೆಗಣಿಸಬೇಡ. ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸುವಾಗ ಬೇಸರಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ.”
and have you forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as sons? My son, do not despise the training of the Lord, Nor faint when he corrects you;
6 ೬ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಯಾರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೋ ಅವರನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ತಾನು ಮಗನಂತೆ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿದೆ.
For it is those whom he loves that he disciplines, And he scourges every son whom he acknowledges.
7 ೭ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶಿಸ್ತಿಗಾಗಿಯೇ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆಂದು ಅದನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಂದು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ತಂದೆಯಿಂದ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ಹೊಂದದ ಮಗನೆಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ?
It is for discipline that you are enduring these sufferings. God is dealing with you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?
If you are left without discipline, in which all children share, then are you bastards and not sons.
9 ೯ ಇದು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ ಲೌಕಿಕ ತಂದೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿತ್ತೇವಲ್ಲ. ನಮ್ಮ ಆತ್ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿರುವಾತನಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಅಧೀನರಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸಬೇಕಲ್ಲವೇ?
Furthermore, our earthly fathers used to discipline us, and we gave them reverence. Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live?
10 ೧೦ ನಮ್ಮ ಲೌಕಿಕ ತಂದೆಗಳು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಸರಿದೋರಿದಂತೆ ಕೆಲವು ಕಾಲ ಮಾತ್ರ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಪಾಲುಗಾರರಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿತಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
For they only disciplined us for a few days, as seemed good to them; but he does it for our profit, that we may share his holiness.
11 ೧೧ ಯಾವ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯಾದರೂ ತತ್ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂತೋಷಕರವಾಗಿ ತೋರದೆ, ದುಃಖಕರವಾಗಿ ತೋರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಶಿಸ್ತಿನ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದವರು, ಮುಂದೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವುಳ್ಳ ನೀತಿಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Now no discipline seems for the present to be joyous, but grievous; but afterward it yields the peaceable fruits of righteousness to those who have been trained under it.
Wherefore lift up your listless hands, strengthen your feeble knees;
13 ೧೩ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾದಗಳಿಗೆ ನೇರವಾದ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಕುಂಟುವ ಕಾಲು ಉಳುಕಿ ಹೋಗದೇ ವಾಸಿಯಾಗುವುದು.
make straight path for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed.
14 ೧೪ ಎಲ್ಲರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನದಿಂದ ಜೀವಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿರಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧತೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಯಾವನೂ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Run swiftly after peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
15 ೧೫ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನೂ ದೇವರ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿ ಹಿಂಜಾರಿ ಹೋಗದಂತೆಯೂ, ಯಾವ ಕಹಿಯಾದ ಬೇರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಗುರಿ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಮಲಿನಪಡಿಸದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
Look carefully that there be no one who falls back from the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springs up to trouble you, and by its means many become defiled.
16 ೧೬ ಯಾವ ಜಾರನಾಗಲಿ, ಏಸಾವನಂಥ ಪ್ರಾಪಂಚಿಕನಾಗಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಇರದಂತೆ ಜಾಗ್ರತೆ ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಆ ಏಸಾವನು ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಊಟಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ತನ್ನ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲುತನದ ಹಕ್ಕನ್ನು ಮಾರಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
Take care lest there be any fornicator or scorner like Esau among you, who for one meal sold his birthright.
17 ೧೭ ಅನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರೂ, ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರ್ಗವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನೆಂದು ನೀವು ಬಲ್ಲವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
For you know that even when he afterward desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected; he found no room for repentance, though he sought it earnestly, with tears.
18 ೧೮ ನೀವು ಮುಟ್ಟಬಹುದಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹೊತ್ತಿದಂಥ ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೂ, ಕಾರ್ಮೋಡ, ಕಗ್ಗತ್ತಲೆ, ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿ, ತುತ್ತೂರಿಯ ಶಬ್ದ, ಮಾತುಗಳ ಧ್ವನಿ ಎಂಬಿವುಗಳ ಬಳಿಗಲ್ಲ ನೀವು ಬಂದಿರುವುದು. ಆ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದವರು ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ಆ ಧ್ವನಿ ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದೇ ಬೇಡವೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.
For you are not come to a palpable and enkindled fire,
19 ೧೯
nor to gloom and darkness and tempest and the blare of a trumpet and an audible voice. Those who heard that voice entreated that no word more should be spoken to them.
20 ೨೦ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, “ಒಂದು ಮೃಗವಾದರೂ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆದು ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂಬ” ವಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಅವರಿಂದ ತಾಳಲಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
For they could not endure that which was enjoined, Even if a wild beast touches the mountain it shall be stoned to death;
and so terrible was the scene that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and tremble.
22 ೨೨ ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪರ್ವತಕ್ಕೂ, ಜೀವಸ್ವರೂಪನಾದ ದೇವರ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾಗಿರುವ ಪರಲೋಕದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೂ, ಉತ್ಸವ ಸಂಘದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿರುವ ಕೋಟ್ಯಾನುಕೋಟಿ ದೇವದೂತರ ಬಳಿಗೂ,
On the contrary you are come to Mount Zion, the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to innumerable hosts of angels,
23 ೨೩ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರು ಬರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಭೆಗೂ, ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ದೇವರ ಬಳಿಗೂ, ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣರಾಗಿರುವ ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಆತ್ಮಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೂ,
to the festal assemblage and church of the firstborn, registered in heaven, to a Judge who is God of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 ೨೪ ಹೊಸ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಗೆ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗಿರುವ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೂ, ಹೇಬೆಲನ ರಕ್ತಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಪ್ರೋಕ್ಷಣ ರಕ್ತದ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
to Jesus the Mediator of the New Covenant, and to his sprinkled Blood whose message cries louder than that of Abel.
25 ೨೫ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾತನನ್ನು ನೀವು ಅಸಡ್ಡೆ ಮಾಡದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದವನನ್ನು ಅಸಡ್ಡೆಮಾಡಿದವರು ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುವಾತನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ದೂರವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಹೋದರೆ ದಂಡನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೇಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆವು?
See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape punishment when they refused to listen to their instructor on earth, much less shall we escape if we turn away from him who is teaching us from heaven;
26 ೨೬ ಆತನ ಧ್ವನಿಯು ಆಗ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಕದಲಿಸಿತು. ಈಗಲಾದರೋ ಆತನು, “ಇನ್ನೊಂದೇ ಸಾರಿ ನಾನು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಪರಲೋಕವನ್ನೂ ಕದಲಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ವಾಗ್ದಾನಮಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
whose voice then shook the earth, but now he has promised, saying, Once again, once for all, I make not only earth, but heaven also to tremble.
27 ೨೭ “ಇನ್ನೊಂದೇ ಸಾರಿ,” ಎಂಬ ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಯೋಚಿಸಿದರೆ, ಕದಲಿಸಿರುವ ವಸ್ತುಗಳು ನಿರ್ಮಿತವಾದವುಗಳಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತವೆಂಬುದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆಗ, ಕದಲಿಸದೇ ಇರುವ ವಸ್ತುಗಳು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವವು.
That phrase, "Once again," signifies the removal of the things which can be shaken, created things, in order that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 ೨೮ ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯಾರೂ ಕದಲಿಸಲಾರದ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಾದ ನಾವು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ, ಆತನಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಕವಾದ ಆರಾಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಮತ್ತು ಭಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಮಾಡೋಣ.
Wherefore since we are receiving a kingdom which is unshakable, let us give thanks, and so offer acceptable worship to God, with holy awe and fear,
FOR INDEED OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE.
