ನೆಹೆಮೀಯನು 10
1 ೧ ಲೇಖನ ರೂಪವಾದ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆಗೆ ಸಹಿಮಾಡಿದವರು ಯಾರಾರೆಂದರೆ: ಹಕಲ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ನೆಹೆಮೀಯನೆಂಬ ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯ,
Now those who put down their names were Nehemiah the Tirshatha, the son of Hacaliah, and Zedekiah,
Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah,
Pashhur, Amariah, Malchijah,
Hattush, Shebaniah, Malluch,
Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah,
Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch,
Meshullam, Abijah, Mijamin,
Maaziah, Bilgai, Shemaiah; these were the priests.
And the Levites: by name, Jeshua, the son of Azaniah, Binnui, of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel,
And their brothers, Shebaniah, Hodiah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan,
Mica, Rehob, Hashabiah,
Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah,
Hodiah, Bani, Beninu.
The chiefs of the people: Parosh, Pahath-moab, Elam, Zattu, Bani,
Bunni, Azgad, Bebai,
Adonijah, Bigvai, Adin,
Ater, Hezekiah, Azzur,
Hodiah, Hashum, Bezai,
Hariph, Anathoth, Nobai,
Magpiash, Meshullam, Hezir,
Meshezabel, Zadok, Jaddua,
Pelatiah, Hanan, Anaiah,
Hoshea, Hananiah, Hasshub,
Hallohesh, Pilha, Shobek,
Rehum, Hashabnah, Maaseiah,
And Ahiah, Hanan, Anan,
Malluch, Harim, Baanah.
28 ೨೮ ಯಾಜಕರು, ಲೇವಿಯರು, ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕರು, ಗಾಯಕರು, ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಸೇವಕರು ಉಳಿದ ಜನರು ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಅನ್ಯದೇಶದವರ ಗೊಡವೆಯನ್ನು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರು, ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಶಕ್ತರಾದ ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇವರೊಡನೆ ಬಂದರು.
And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the door-keepers, the music-makers, the Nethinim, and all those who had made themselves separate from the peoples of the lands, to keep the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, everyone who had knowledge and wisdom;
29 ೨೯ ಮುಖಂಡರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡು, ತಾವು ದೇವರ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ದೇವರ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಮವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ನಡೆಯುವುದಾಗಿ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ:
They were united with their brothers, their rulers, and put themselves under a curse and an oath, to keep their steps in the way of God's law, which was given by Moses, the servant of God, and to keep and do all the orders of the Lord, our Lord, and his decisions and his rules;
30 ೩೦ ಈ ದೇಶನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ಗಂಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅವರಿಂದ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
And that we would not give our daughters to the peoples of the lands, or take their daughters for our sons;
31 ೩೧ ದೇಶನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಮಾರುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ತರುವ ಯಾವ ಸರಕುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನೂ, ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರತಿ ಏಳನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಸಾಗುವಳಿಯನ್ನೂ ಇತರರು ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾದ ಸಾಲವನ್ನೂ ಮನ್ನಾ ಮಾಡಿಬಿಡುತ್ತೇವೆ.
And if the peoples of the lands come to do trade in goods or food on the Sabbath day, that we would do no trade with them on the Sabbath or on a holy day: and that in the seventh year we would take no payment from any debtor.
32 ೩೨ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಶೆಕೆಲಿನ ಮೂರನೆಯ ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಸೇವೆಗಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂಬ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.
And we made rules for ourselves, taxing ourselves a third of a shekel every year for the upkeep of the house of our God;
33 ೩೩ ಆ ಹಣವು ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡತಕ್ಕ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ, ನಿತ್ಯಧಾನ್ಯ, ನೈವೇದ್ಯ ಇವುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ, ನಿತ್ಯ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮ, ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನ, ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜಾತ್ರೆ ಉತ್ಸವ ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮ, ಸಮಾಧಾನಯಜ್ಞ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ದೋಷಪರಿಹಾರಕ ಯಜ್ಞ ಇವುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾದ ಬೇರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಲಸಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ವೆಚ್ಚವಾಗಬೇಕು.
For the holy bread, and for the regular meal offering and the regular burned offering on the Sabbaths and at the new moon and the fixed feasts, and for the sin-offerings to take away the sin of Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
34 ೩೪ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವಿಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಉರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷವೂ ನಿಯಮಿತ ಕಾಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ದೊರಕುವ ಹಾಗೆ, ಆಯಾ ಗೋತ್ರಾನುಸಾರ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ದಾನ ಮಾಡತಕ್ಕವರು ಇಂಥವರೇ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಯಾಜಕರೂ, ಲೇವಿಯರೂ, ಸಾಧಾರಣ ಜನರೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಿ ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.
And we, the priests and the Levites and the people, made selection, by the decision of the Lord, of those who were to take the wood offering into the house of God, by families at the regular times, year by year, to be burned on the altar of the Lord our God, as it is recorded in the law;
35 ೩೫ ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಬೆಳೆಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ಮರಗಳ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಫಲಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷವೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದುಕೊಂಡುವೆವು.
And to take the first-fruits of our land, and the first-fruits of every sort of tree, year by year, into the house of the Lord;
36 ೩೬ ನಮ್ಮ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲಮಕ್ಕಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲೂ, ನಮ್ಮ ಪಶುಗಳ ಹಿಂಡುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲಮರಿಗಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲೂ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವಿಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆವು. ನಮ್ಮ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಕರುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಆಡು, ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಯಾಜಕರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವೆವು.
As well as the first of our sons and of our cattle, as it is recorded in the law, and the first lambs of our herds and of our flocks, which are to be taken to the house of our God, to the priests who are servants in the house of our God:
37 ೩೭ ನಾವು ದೇವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಿ ಇಡತಕ್ಕ ಪ್ರಥಮಫಲದ ಹಿಟ್ಟು, ಹಣ್ಣುಹಂಪಲು, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ, ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಮೊದಲಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಾಜಕ ಸೇವೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದು ಇಡುವೆವು. ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಹುಟ್ಟುವಳಿಯ ದಶಮಾಂಶವು ಲೇವಿಯರದಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಲೇವಿಯರು ತಾವೇ ಬಂದು, ನಮ್ಮ ಸಾಗುವಳಿಯ ಊರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಶೇಖರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
And that we would take the first of our rough meal, and our lifted offerings, and the fruit of every sort of tree, and wine and oil, to the priests, to the rooms of the house of our God; and the tenth of the produce of our land to the Levites; for they, the Levites, take a tenth in all the towns of our ploughed land.
38 ೩೮ ಅವರು ದಶಮಾಂಶವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸುವಾಗ ಆರೋನನ ವಂಶದವನಾದ ಯಾಜಕನೊಬ್ಬನು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಲೇವಿಯರು ತಮಗೆ ದೊರಕಿರುವ ಭಾಗದ ದಶಮಾಂಶವನ್ನು ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಭಂಡಾರದ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಬೇಕು.
And the priest, the son of Aaron, is to be with the Levites, when the Levites take the tenths: and the Levites are to take a tenth of the tenths into the house of our God, to the rooms, into the store-house;
39 ೩೯ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಲೇವಿಯರೂ ಧಾನ್ಯ, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ, ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು, ದೇವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸತಕ್ಕ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಂದು ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಯಾಜಕರೂ, ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕರು, ಗಾಯಕರು ಇರುವ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹಾಗು ಪವಿತ್ರಾಲಯದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಇಡುವ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಎಂದೂ ಅಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಬರೆದುಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
For the children of Israel and the children of Levi are to take the lifted offering of the grain and wine and oil into the rooms where the vessels of the holy place are, together with the priests and the door-keepers and the makers of music: and we will not give up caring for the house of our God.
