ಲೂಕನು 20
1 ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಯೇಸು ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರೂ ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರೂ ಹಿರಿಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು
And it came to pass on one of the days, as he was teaching the people in the temple, and announcing the glad tidings, the chief priests and the scribes with the elders came up,
2 ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಾವ ಅಧಿಕಾರದಿಂದ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ? ನಿಮಗೆ ಈ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟವರು ಯಾರು? ನಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
and spoke to him saying, Tell us by what authority thou doest these things, or who is it who has given thee this authority?
3 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಸಹ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಒಂದು ವಿಷಯ ಕೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡಿರಿ.
And he answering said to them, I also will ask you [one] thing, and tell me:
4 ಯೋಹಾನನಿಗೆ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಬಂದದ್ದೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಂದಲೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
The baptism of John, was it of heaven or of men?
5 ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ, “‘ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ’ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಆತನು, ‘ನೀವು ಏಕೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ನಂಬಲಿಲ್ಲ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುವರು.
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we should say, Of heaven, he will say, Why have ye not believed him?
6 ‘ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಂದ ಬಂತು,’ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ, ಜನರೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಮಗೆ ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆಯುವರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೋಹಾನನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೆಂದು ಅವರು ಒಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿ,
but if we should say, Of men, the whole people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.
7 “ಅದು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದಲೋ ನಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
And they answered, they did not know whence.
8 ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಸಹ ಯಾವ ಅಧಿಕಾರದಿಂದ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದರು.
And Jesus said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
9 ಬಳಿಕ ಯೇಸು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಾಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು: “ಒಬ್ಬನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ತೋಟವನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು, ಅದನ್ನು ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಗೇಣಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲ ದೂರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವಾಸಹೋದನು.
And he began to speak to the people this parable: A man planted a vineyard and let it out to husbandmen, and left the country for a long time.
10 ಫಲದ ಕಾಲ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವನು ತನಗೆ ಬರಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿತೋಟದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ಆ ಗೇಣಿಗೆದಾರರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು, ಬರಿಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
And in the season he sent to the husbandmen a bondman, that they might give to him of the fruit of the vineyard; but the husbandmen, having beaten him, sent [him] away empty.
11 ಯಜಮಾನನು ಪುನಃ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು ಎರಡನೆಯವನನ್ನೂ ಸಹ ಹೊಡೆದು, ಅವಮಾನಪಡಿಸಿ ಬರಿಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
And again he sent another bondman; but they, having beaten him also, and cast insult upon him, sent [him] away empty.
12 ಆ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಮೂರನೆಯವನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನೂ ಗಾಯಪಡಿಸಿ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು.
And again he sent a third; and they, having wounded him also, cast [him] out.
13 “ಆಗ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ತೋಟದ ಯಜಮಾನನು, ‘ನಾನೇನು ಮಾಡಲಿ? ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಮಗನನ್ನೇ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು, ಬಹುಶಃ ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗಾದರೂ ಮರ್ಯಾದೆಕೊಟ್ಟಾರು,’ ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡನು.
And the lord of the vineyard said, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: perhaps when they see him they will respect [him].
14 “ಆದರೆ ಗೇಣಿಗೆದಾರರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ, ‘ಇವನೇ ಬಾಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನು. ಇವನನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕೋಣ. ಆಗ ಆಸ್ತಿ ನಮ್ಮದಾಗುವುದು,’ ಎಂದು ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir; [come, ] let us kill him, that the inheritance may become ours.
15 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ, ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿತೋಟದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಕೊಂದರು. “ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿತೋಟದ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡುವನು?
And having cast him forth out of the vineyard, they killed [him]. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do to them?
16 ಅವನು ಬಂದು ಆ ಗೇಣಿಗೆದಾರರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ತೋಟವನ್ನು ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವನು,” ಎಂದರು. ಜನರು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ಹಾಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಆಗಬಾರದು!” ಎಂದರು.
He will come and destroy those husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it they said, May it never be!
17 ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರನ್ನು ದಿಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿ, “ಹಾಗಾದರೆ, “‘ಮನೆ ಕಟ್ಟುವವರು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದ ಕಲ್ಲೇ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ಮೂಲೆಗಲ್ಲಾಯಿತು,’ ಎಂದು ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವುದರ ಅರ್ಥ ಏನು?
But he looking at them said, What then is this that is written, The stone which they that builded rejected, this has become the corner-stone?
18 ಆ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳುವವನು ತುಂಡುತುಂಡಾಗುವನು; ಆದರೆ ಅದೇ ಕಲ್ಲು ಯಾವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳುವುದೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅದು ಜಜ್ಜಿ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು,” ಎಂದರು.
Every one falling on this stone shall be broken, but on whomsoever it shall fall, it shall grind him to powder.
19 ಅದೇ ಗಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರೂ ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರೂ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹವಣಿಸಿದರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೇಸು ತಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೇ ಈ ಸಾಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಆದರೂ ಅವರು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
And the chief priests and the scribes sought the same hour to lay hands on him, and they feared the people; for they knew that he had spoken this parable of them.
20 ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹೊಂಚಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ, ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೂ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡಲು, ನೀತಿವಂತರೆಂದು ನಟಿಸುವ ಗೂಢಚಾರರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.
And having watched [him], they sent out suborned persons, pretending to be just men, that they might take hold of him in [his] language, so that they might deliver him up to the power and authority of the governor.
21 ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಗುರುವೇ, ನೀವು ಮುಖ ದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ ಮತ್ತು ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಬೋಧಿಸುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರೆಂದು ನಾವು ಬಲ್ಲೆವು.
And they asked him saying, Teacher, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, and acceptest no [man's] person, but teachest with truth the way of God:
22 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕೈಸರನಿಗೆ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವುದು ನಮಗೆ ಮೋಶೆಯ ನಿಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಸಾರವಾದದ್ದೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
Is it lawful for us to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
23 ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು ಅವರಿಗೆ,
But perceiving their deceit he said to them, Why do ye tempt me?
24 “ಒಂದು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ನಾಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿರಿ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು ಯಾರ ಮುದ್ರೆ? ಯಾರ ಲಿಪಿ?” ಎಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವರು, “ಕೈಸರನದು,” ಎಂದರು.
Shew me a denarius. Whose image and superscription has it? And answering they said, Caesar's.
25 ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಕೈಸರನದನ್ನು ಕೈಸರನಿಗೂ ದೇವರದ್ದನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೂ ಕೊಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
And he said to them, Pay therefore what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
26 ಯೇಸು ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ತಪ್ಪು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯಲಾರದೆ ಹೋದರು. ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಉತ್ತರಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟು ಸುಮ್ಮನಾದರು.
And they were not able to take hold of him in [his] expressions before the people, and, wondering at his answer, they were silent.
27 ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆಯುವ ಸದ್ದುಕಾಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು, ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ,
And some of the Sadducees, who deny that there is any resurrection, coming up [to him],
28 “ಬೋಧಕರೇ, ಒಬ್ಬನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸತ್ತರೆ, ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರನು ಅವನ ಪತ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮೋಶೆ ನಮಗೆ ಬರೆದಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
demanded of him saying, Teacher, Moses wrote to us, If any one's brother, who has a wife, die, and he die childless, his brother shall take the wife and raise up seed to his brother.
29 ಹೀಗೆ ಏಳುಮಂದಿ ಸಹೋದರರಿದ್ದರು. ಮೊದಲನೆಯವನು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಸಂತಾನವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟನು.
There were then seven brethren: and the first, having taken a wife, died childless;
30 ಎರಡನೆಯವನೂ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಸಂತಾನವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಮೃತನಾದನು.
and the second [took the woman, and he died childless];
31 ಮೂರನೆಯವನು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾದನು, ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ಜನರು ಸಹ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿಧನರಾದರು.
and the third took her: and in like manner also the seven left no children and died;
32 ಕೊನೆಗೆ, ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಸಹ ಮರಣಹೊಂದಿದಳು.
and last of all the woman also died.
33 ಹಾಗಾದರೆ, ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದಾಗ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯು ಯಾರ ಪತ್ನಿಯಾಗಿರುವಳು? ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಏಳುಮಂದಿಯೂ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಾ?” ಎಂದರು.
In the resurrection therefore of which of them does she become wife, for the seven had her as wife?
And Jesus said to them, The sons of this world marry and are given in marriage, (aiōn g165)
35 ಆದರೆ ಮುಂಬರುವ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತವರು ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ, ಯೋಗ್ಯರೆಂದು ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುವುದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. (aiōn g165)
but they who are counted worthy to have part in that world, and the resurrection from among [the] dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; (aiōn g165)
36 ಅವರು ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ಸಾಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ದೇವದೂತರಿಗೆ ಸರಿಸಮಾನರೂ ಆಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಅವರು ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
for neither can they die any more, for they are equal to angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
37 ಆದರೆ ಉರಿಯುವ ಪೊದೆಯ ಬಳಿ ಕರ್ತದೇವರು, ‘ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ದೇವರು, ಇಸಾಕನ ದೇವರು, ಯಾಕೋಬನ ದೇವರು,’ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿ ಸತ್ತವರು ಏಳುತ್ತಾರೆಂಬದನ್ನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
But that the dead rise, even Moses shewed in [the section of] the bush, when he called [the] Lord the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob;
38 ದೇವರು ಜೀವಿತರಿಗೆ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಹೊರತು ಸತ್ತವರಿಗಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
but he is not God of [the] dead but of [the] living; for all live for him.
39 ಆಗ ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, “ಬೋಧಕರೇ, ನೀವು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
And some of the scribes answering said, Teacher, thou hast well spoken.
40 ಯಾರೂ ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಧೈರ್ಯಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
For they did not dare any more to ask him anything.
41 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ದಾವೀದನ ಪುತ್ರನೆಂದು ಜನರು ಹೇಳುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?
And he said to them, How do they say that the Christ is David's son,
42 ದಾವೀದನು ತಾನೇ ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ: “‘ಕರ್ತದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಕರ್ತದೇವರಿಗೆ: “ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳನ್ನು
and David himself says in the book of Psalms, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand
43 ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳ ಪೀಠವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವವರೆಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಲಪಾರ್ಶ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿರು.”’
until I put thine enemies [as] footstool of thy feet?
44 ಆದಕಾರಣ ದಾವೀದನು ತಾನೇ ಅವರನ್ನು, ‘ನನ್ನ ಕರ್ತದೇವರು,’ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುವಾಗ, ಅವರು ದಾವೀದನ ಪುತ್ರನಾಗುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
David therefore calls him Lord, and how is he his son?
45 ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ,
And, as all the people were listening, he said to his disciples,
46 “ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರಿ. ಅವರು ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ತೊಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ತಿರುಗಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಯಸುವವರೂ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಂದನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಆಸನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಔತಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥಾನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಯಸುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ;
Beware of the scribes, who like to walk about in long robes, and who love salutations in the market-places, and first seats in the synagogues, and first places at suppers;
47 ಇವರು ವಿಧವೆಯರ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ದೋಚಿ ನಟನೆಗಾಗಿ ಉದ್ದವಾದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಂಥವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವರು,” ಎಂದರು.
who devour the houses of widows, and as a pretext make long prayers. These shall receive a severer judgment.
