1 Paulo, omukosi wa Nyamuanga intumwa ya Yesu Kristo, kulwekilisha lya bhasolwa bha Nyamuanga no bhwengeso bhwe chimali bhunu obhuleta obhulengelesi.
Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;
2 Bhali mubhwiikanyo bhwo bhuanga bhwa kajanende bhunu Nyamuanga unu atakutula kwaika lulimi asosishe omulago gwa kajanende. (aiōnios g166)
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (aiōnios g166)
3 Omwanya gwejile gweya nasulula omusango gwaye mubhusimusi bhunu ananile naike. Janyiile okukola kutyo Nyamuanga alagiliye oyo ali mukisha weswe.
But has in due times manifested his word (logos) through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;
4 Ku Tito, omwana we chimali mu likilisha lyeswe. Echigongo, lisasila no mulembe okusoka ku Nyamuanga Lata na Yesu Kristo omwelusi weswe.
To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.
5 Kwo nakolele ninkusiga Krete koleleki ugamalishe amagambo gone ganu galiga gachali okuwa no kutulako abhakaluka bha ikanisa bhuli musi lwa kutyo nakulagiliye.
For this cause left I you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed you:
6 Omukaruka wa ikanisa asiga kubha ne soro, omulume wo mugasi umwi, unu ali na bhana bhalengelesi bhanu bhatakwaikwa mabhibhi nolwo bhulangi langi.
If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
7 Jiire omutangasha unu kemeleguluru inyumba ya Nyamuanga asige kubha ne soro. Atabha munu wa injogele amwi unu atakwibhalilila. Ni bhusi bhusi asige kubha mwangu wo kubhiililwa, asige kubha mutamiji, asige kubha unu kaletelesha obhulwani, asiga kubha wa inamba.
For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, not an attacker, not given to filthy illegal gain;
8 Nawe abhega mukumi wa bhagenyi, unu kenda obhwekisi. Jiire abhe no bhwenge bhwe kisi, ali mulengeresi, unu kamubhaya Nyamuanga, abhe mwilindi.
But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
9 Abhe unu kemeregururu ameigisho ge chimari ganu geigisibhwe, koleleki atulega okukomesha emyoyo ku meigisho ge kisi kubhaiga abhajimamba.
Holding fast the faithful word (logos) as he has been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
10 Okubha bhalio bha nyantongwa bhanfu, muno muno abho rutendo. Emisango jebhwe ni jo bhulangi langi. Mbajigi jigi no kubhatangasha abhanu mubhujabhi.
For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
11 Jiire okubhaganya abhanu rwabho. Abheigisha bhinu bhitabheire kurwa mabhona go bhurigerige abhanyamula misi jone.
Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy illegal gain's sake.
12 Umwi webhwe, omunu wo bhwengeso, aikile, Abhakrete bhano lulimi lunu lutana bhutelo, bhabhibhi, ni ntyanyi mbibhi, ni bhalenga na bhatubhe.
One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are always liars, evil beasts, sluggards.
13 Okwaika okwo ni kwa chimari, kulwejo ubhaganye kwa managa gone koleleki bhaike echimari cha mukwikirisha.
This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
14 Awe usige otegeresha jingani ja Bhayaudi jinu jitari ja chimari amwi ebhiragiro bhya bhanu, bhanu abhafutatira ebhye chimari.
Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
15 Ku bhanu bherere, bhyone ni bhyeru. Nawe chitariwo chinu cheru kubhajabhi na bhanyantekirisha.
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
16 Abhaika ati chimumenyere Nyamuanga, mbe nawe mubhikorwa bhyebhwe abhamulema. Abho ni bhajabhi ka ni bhanyantongwa. Ka bhateire mu bhikorwa bhyone bhyone bhya kisi.
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
