മർക്കൊസ് 9
1 ൧ പിന്നെ യേശു അവരോട്: “ദൈവരാജ്യം ശക്തിയോടെ വരുന്നത് കാണുവോളം മരണം ആസ്വദിക്കാത്തവർ ചിലർ ഈ നില്ക്കുന്നവരിൽ ഉണ്ട് എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ട് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And he said to them, Truly I say to you, there are some of those who have stood here, who will, no, not taste of death until they see the kingdom of God come in power.
2 ൨ ആറ് ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം യേശു പത്രൊസിനെയും യാക്കോബിനെയും യോഹന്നാനെയും കൂട്ടി ഒരു ഉയർന്ന മലയിലേക്ക് തനിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി അവരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ രൂപാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു.
And after six days Jesus takes Peter and James and John, and leads them up onto a high mountain alone, in private. And he was transfigured before them,
and his garments became glistening, exceedingly white, as snow, such as no fuller on earth is able to whiten.
And Elijah with Moses appeared to them, and they were talking with Jesus.
5 ൫ പത്രൊസ് യേശുവിനോടു: “റബ്ബീ, നാം ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നത് നല്ലത്; ഞങ്ങൾ മൂന്നു കുടിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കട്ടെ; ഒന്ന് നിനക്കും ഒന്ന് മോശെക്കും ഒന്ന് ഏലിയാവിനും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And having responded, Peter says to Jesus, Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. And we could make three tabernacles: one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.
For he knew not what he would say, for they were frightened.
7 ൭ പിന്നെ ഒരു മേഘം വന്നു അവരുടെ മേൽ നിഴലിട്ടു: “ഇവൻ എന്റെ പ്രിയപുത്രൻ; ഇവന് ചെവികൊടുപ്പിൻ” എന്നു മേഘത്തിൽനിന്നു ഒരു ശബ്ദവും ഉണ്ടായി.
And a cloud developed overshadowing them. And a voice came out of the cloud, This is my beloved Son. Hear ye him.
And suddenly having looked around, they saw no man anymore, but only Jesus with themselves.
9 ൯ അവർ മലയിൽനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ: “മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർത്തിട്ടല്ലാതെ ഈ കണ്ടത് ആരോടും അറിയിക്കരുത്” എന്നു അവൻ അവരോട് കല്പിച്ചു.
And as they were coming down from the mountain, he commanded them that they should tell no man what they saw, except when the Son of man will rise from the dead.
10 ൧൦ ‘മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്ന് ഉയിർക്കുക’ എന്നത് എന്ത് എന്നു അവർ തമ്മിൽ ചർച്ചചെയ്തുംകൊണ്ട് ആ വാക്ക് ഉള്ളിൽ സംഗ്രഹിച്ചു.
And they kept the saying to themselves, discussing what is the rising from the dead.
And they questioned him, saying, The scholars say that Elijah must first come.
12 ൧൨ അതിന് യേശു: “ഏലിയാവ് മുമ്പെ വന്നു സകലവും യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കുന്നു സത്യം; എന്നാൽ മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ച്: അവൻ വളരെ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയും ധിക്കരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത് എങ്ങനെ?
And having answered, he said to them, Elijah indeed comes first and restores all. And how it is written for the Son of man, that he would suffer many things and be rejected.
13 ൧൩ എന്നാൽ ഏലിയാവ് വന്നു; അവനെക്കുറിച്ച് തിരുവെഴുത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവർ തങ്ങൾക്കു തോന്നിയത് എല്ലാം അവനോട് ചെയ്തു എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
But I say to you, that Elijah has also come, and they did to him as much as they wanted, just as it is written for him.
14 ൧൪ അവർ മറ്റു ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കെ മടങ്ങിവന്നപ്പോൾ വലിയ പുരുഷാരം അവരെ ചുറ്റി നില്ക്കുന്നതും ശാസ്ത്രിമാർ അവരോട് തർക്കിക്കുന്നതും കണ്ട്.
And when they came to the disciples he saw a great multitude around them, and scholars disputing with them.
And straightaway all the multitude, having noticed him, were startled. And running near they greeted him.
And he questioned the scholars, What are ye disputing with them?
17 ൧൭ അതിന് പുരുഷാരത്തിൽ ഒരുവൻ: “ഗുരോ, എന്റെ മകനെ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അവനെ ഊമനായ ഒരു ആത്മാവ് ബാധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
And having answered, one from the multitude said, Teacher, I brought my son to thee, who has a mute spirit.
18 ൧൮ അത് അവനെ എവിടെവച്ച് പിടിച്ചാലും അവനെ തള്ളിയിടുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവൻ നുരച്ച് പല്ലുകടിച്ചു വരണ്ടുപോകുന്നു. അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോട് പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് അവർക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
And wherever it seizes him, it tears him, and he foams, and gnashes his teeth, and becomes limp. And I spoke to thy disciples that they might cast it out, and they were not able.
19 ൧൯ അവൻ അവരോട്: “അവിശ്വാസമുള്ള തലമുറയേ, എത്രത്തോളം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെയിരിക്കും? എത്രത്തോളം നിങ്ങളെ സഹിക്കും? അവനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
And having answered him, he says, O faithless generation, how long will I be with you? How long will I endure you? Bring him to me.
20 ൨൦ അവർ അവനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. യേശുവിനെ കണ്ട ഉടനെ ആത്മാവ് അവനെ ഇഴച്ചു; അവൻ നിലത്തുവീണു, വായിൽനിന്ന് നുരച്ചുവന്നു.
And they brought him to him. And when he saw him, straightaway the spirit convulsed him. And having fallen on the ground, he wallowed, foaming.
21 ൨൧ “ഇതു അവന് സംഭവിച്ചിട്ട് എത്ര കാലമായി?” എന്നു അവന്റെ അപ്പനോട് ചോദിച്ചതിന് അവൻ: “ചെറുപ്പംമുതൽ തന്നേ,
And he questioned his father, How much time is it since this has happened to him? And he said, From childhood.
22 ൨൨ അത് അവനെ നശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പലപ്പോഴും തീയിലും വെള്ളത്തിലും തള്ളിയിട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്; നിന്നാൽ വല്ലതും കഴിയും എങ്കിൽ മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞ് ഞങ്ങളെ സഹായിക്കണമേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And it often casts him both into the fire and into the waters so that it might destroy him. But if thou can do anything, help us, having compassion toward us.
And Jesus said to him, If thou are able to believe, all things are possible to him who believes.
24 ൨൪ ബാലന്റെ അപ്പൻ ഉടനെ നിലവിളിച്ചു: “കർത്താവേ, ഞാൻ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അവിശ്വാസത്തെ പരിഹരിക്കണമേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And straightaway the father of the child having cried out, he said with tears, I believe. Lord, help thou my unbelief.
25 ൨൫ പുരുഷാരം ഓടിക്കൂടുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ട് യേശു അശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ ശാസിച്ചു: “ഊമനും ചെകിടനുമായ ആത്മാവേ, ഇവനെ വിട്ടുപോ; ഇനി അവനിൽ കടക്കരുത് എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് കല്പിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And when Jesus saw that a crowd was running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, Thou mute and deaf spirit, I command thee to come out of him, and enter into him no more.
26 ൨൬ അപ്പോൾ അത് നിലവിളിച്ച് അവനെ വളരെ ഇഴച്ചു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി. ‘മരിച്ചുപോയി’ എന്നു പലരും പറവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവൻ മരിച്ചപോലെ ആയി.
And having cried out, and having convulsed him much, it came out. And he became as if dead, so as for many to say that he was dead.
But having taken him by the hand, Jesus lifted him up, and he arose.
28 ൨൮ യേശു വീട്ടിൽ വന്നശേഷം ശിഷ്യന്മാർ സ്വകാര്യമായി അവനോട്: “ഞങ്ങൾക്കു അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കുവാൻ കഴിയാഞ്ഞത് എന്ത്?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
And when he came into the house, his disciples questioned him privately, We were not able to cast it out.
And he said to them, This kind can come out by nothing, except by prayer and fasting.
30 ൩൦ അവർ അവിടെനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഗലീലയിൽ കൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു; അവർ എവിടെയാണെന്ന് ആരും അറിയരുതെന്ന് അവൻ ഇച്ഛിച്ചു.
And having departed from there, they passed through Galilee, and he did not want that any man would know it.
31 ൩൧ കാരണം അവൻ തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. അവൻ അവരോട്: “മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും; അവർ അവനെ കൊല്ലും; കൊന്നിട്ട് മൂന്നുനാൾ കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം അവൻ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
For he taught his disciples, and said to them, The Son of man is delivered up into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And after being killed, he will rise the third day.
But they did not understand the saying, and were afraid to question him.
33 ൩൩ അവൻ കഫർന്നഹൂമിൽ വന്നു വീട്ടിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ: “നിങ്ങൾ വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു തമ്മിൽ വാദിച്ചതെന്ത്?” എന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോട് ചോദിച്ചു.
And he came to Capernaum. And having become in the house he questioned them, What were ye deliberating among yourselves on the way?
But they were silent, for on the way they discussed among each other, who is greater.
35 ൩൫ അവൻ ഇരുന്നിട്ട് പന്തിരുവരെയും ഒരുമിച്ചുവിളിച്ചു: “ഒരുവൻ മുമ്പൻ ആകുവാൻ ഇച്ഛിച്ചാൽ അവൻ എല്ലാവരിലും ഒടുവിലത്തവനും എല്ലാവർക്കും ശുശ്രൂഷകനും ആകണം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And having sat down, he called the twelve, and he says to them, If any man wants to be first, he will be last of all, and helper of all.
36 ൩൬ അവൻ ഒരു ശിശുവിനെ എടുത്തു അവരുടെ നടുവിൽ നിർത്തി. ആ ശിശുവിനെ തന്റെ കരങ്ങളിൽ എടുത്തുംകൊണ്ട് അവരോട്:
And having taken a child, he set it in the midst of them. And after embracing it, he said to them,
37 ൩൭ “ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള ശിശുക്കളിൽ ഒന്നിനെ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നവൻ എന്നെ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നെ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നവനോ എന്നെയല്ല എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Whoever may receive one of such children in my name, receives me, and whoever may receive me, does not receive me, but him who sent me.
38 ൩൮ യോഹന്നാൻ അവനോട്: “ഗുരോ, ഒരുവൻ നിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നത് ഞങ്ങൾ കണ്ട്; അവൻ നമ്മെ അനുഗമിക്കായ്കയാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ അവനെ വിരോധിച്ചു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And John answered him, saying, Teacher, we saw a certain man, who does not follow us, casting out demons in thy name, and we forbade him, because he does not follow us.
39 ൩൯ അതിന് യേശു പറഞ്ഞത്: “അവനെ വിരോധിക്കരുത്; എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ഒരു വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്തിട്ട് വേഗത്തിൽ എന്നെ ദുഷിച്ചുപറവാൻ കഴിയുന്നവൻ ആരും ഇല്ല.
But Jesus said, Forbid him not, for there is no man who will do a mighty work in my name, and will be able quickly to speak evil of me.
For he who is not against you is for you.
41 ൪൧ നിങ്ങൾ ക്രിസ്തുവിനുള്ളവരാകകൊണ്ട് ആരെങ്കിലും ഒരു പാനപാത്രം വെള്ളം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് കുടിക്കുവാൻ തന്നാൽ അവന് പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടാതിരിക്കുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ട് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
For whoever may give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye are of Christ, truly I say to you, he will, no, not lose his reward.
42 ൪൨ എങ്കൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഈ ചെറിയവരിൽ ഒരുവന് ഇടർച്ചവരുത്തുന്നവന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ വലിയൊരു തിരികല്ല് കെട്ടി അവനെ കടലിൽ ഇട്ടുകളയുന്നത് അവന് ഏറെ നല്ലത്.
And whoever may cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it is good for him instead, if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
43 ൪൩ നിന്റെ കൈ നിനക്ക് ഇടർച്ച വരുത്തിയാൽ അതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കളക: അംഗവൈകല്യമുള്ളവനായി ജീവനിൽ കടക്കുന്നത് രണ്ടു കയ്യുമുള്ളവൻ ആയി കെടാത്ത തീയായ നരകത്തിൽ പോകുന്നതിനേക്കാൾ നിനക്ക് നല്ലത്. (Geenna g1067)
And if thy hand may cause thee to stumble, cut it off. It is good for thee to enter into life maimed, than having thy two hands to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire, (Geenna g1067)
44 ൪൪
where their worm does not perish, and the fire is not quenched.
45 ൪൫ നിന്റെ കാൽ നിനക്ക് ഇടർച്ച വരുത്തിയാൽ അതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കളക: മുടന്തനായി ജീവനിൽ കടക്കുന്നത് രണ്ടു കാലുമുള്ളവൻ ആയി നരകത്തിൽ എറിയപ്പെടുന്നതിനേക്കാൾ നിനക്ക് നല്ലത്. (Geenna g1067)
And if thy foot may cause thee to stumble, cut it off. It is good for thee to enter into life crippled, than having thy two feet to be cast into hell, into the unquenchable fire (Geenna g1067)
46 ൪൬
where their worm does not perish, and the fire is not quenched.
47 ൪൭ നിന്റെ കണ്ണ് നിനക്ക് ഇടർച്ച വരുത്തിയാൽ അതിനെ ചൂഴ്ന്നുകളയുക; രണ്ടു കണ്ണുള്ളവനായി ചാകാത്ത പുഴുവും കെടാത്ത തീയുമുള്ള അഗ്നിനരകത്തിൽ എറിയപ്പെടുന്നതിനേക്കാൾ ഒറ്റക്കണ്ണനായി ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിൽ കടക്കുന്നത് നിനക്ക് നല്ലത്. (Geenna g1067)
And if thine eye may cause thee to stumble, pluck it out. It is good for thee to enter into the kingdom of God one-eyed, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the hell of fire, (Geenna g1067)
48 ൪൮
where their worm does not perish, and the fire is not quenched.
For every man will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be salted with salt material.
50 ൫൦ ഉപ്പ് നല്ലത് തന്നെ; ഉപ്പ് കാരമില്ലാതെ പോയാലോ എന്തൊന്നിനാൽ അതിന് വീണ്ടും രസം വരുത്തും? നിങ്ങളിൽതന്നെ ഉപ്പുള്ളവരും അന്യോന്യം സമാധാനമുള്ളവരും ആയിരിപ്പിൻ”.
The salt material is good, but if the salt material becomes saltless, by what will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace among each other.
