1 Gali galepeshe mobha gabhilipe kuishila lyubha lya Shikukuu ja Pashaka na Shikukuu ja Mikate Jangatagwa Ngedule. Bhakulungwanji bhaabhishila na bhaajiganya bha Shalia ya a Musha gubhaloleyenje shiumilo sha unami sha kwaakamulila a Yeshu bhaabhulaganje.
BUT after two days was the Petscha of unleavened cakes: and the chief priests and the Sophree sought how with guile they might apprehend and kill him.
2 Ikabheje gubhashitenje, “Tunaakamule lyubha lya shikukuu, inakoposhela nnjasha.”
And they said, Not on the festival, lest there be a commotion among the people.
3 Bhai a Yeshu bhali ku Bhetania, kungwabho a Shimoni bhalwalile mangundula, bhali bhatemi nkulya, gubhaishe bhakongwe bhamo bhajigele shupa sha mauta ga nunjila ga nado, shialeywe kwa liganga lya alabhashita, gubhakaile shupa shila, nikwakushulila a Yeshu mauta ga nunjila gala muntwe.
And when he was at Bethania in the house of Shemun the leper, as he reclined, there came a woman who had with her a vase of the balsam of the choicest nard of great prices; and she opened it, and poured it upon the head of Jeshu.
4 Bhandunji bhana bhalinginji pepala guyaashimilenje, gubhabhalanjilenenje, “Kwa nndi bhanajonanga mautaga?
But there were men of the disciples who were displeased among themselves, and said, Why make destruction of this balsam?
5 Gakaushiywe, nipata mmbiya ya mbuti nshaala gwa shaka shimo uka mundu, nikwapanganga bhaalaga!” Gubhaakalipilenje bhakongwe bhala.
for it could have been sold for more than three hundred dinoreen, and given to the poor. And they were angry with her.
6 Ikabheje a Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje, “Mwaalekanje, kwa nndi nnakwaabhuyanga? Shibhandendeleshi shammbone.
But he, Jeshu, said, Let her alone; why do you trouble her? A good work hath she wrought upon me.
7 Pabha bhalaga nnatama nabhonji mobha gowe, mpingangaga kwa malanga gogowe, shimwaatendelanje ya mmbone. Ikabheje nne ngatama na mmanganyanji mobha gowe.
For in all time you have the poor with you, and, when you will, you can do them good; but I am not at all time with you.
8 Bhenebha bhashitenda shibhakombwele, bhashimbakaya mauta shiilu shangu kwa ligongo lya shikwa.
(With) that which was hers she hath done this, and beforehand as for the funeral she hath anointed my body.
9 Kweli ngunakummalanjilanga kuti, popowe pashilambolyo pushibhalunguyanje Ngani Jambone, lyene libhatendile bhene bhakongwebha, shilitaywe nkwaakumbushila.”
And Amen I say to you, That wheresoever my gospel shall be preached in the whole world, this also which she hath now done shall be told in memorial of her.
10 Kungai a Yuda Ishikaliote, bhamo bha munkumbi gwa bhaajiganywa likumi limo na bhabhili bhala, gubhapite ku bhakulungwanji bhaabhishila nkupinga kwaatendebhuka a Yeshu.
But Jihuda Scarjuta, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests, to betray Jeshu to them:
11 Bhakulungwanji bhaabhishila bhakapilikananjeje genego, guyaanonyelenje, gubhakundilenje kwapa mmbiya. Bhai a Yuda gubhaloleye malanga gammbone ga kwaatendebhuka a Yeshu.
and they when they had heard rejoiced, and promised silver to give him. And he sought to him opportunity to betray him.
12 Lyubha lya tandubha Shikukuu ja Mikate Jangatagwa Ngedule, malanga ga ingwa mwana ngondolo jwa Pashaka, bhaajiganywa bhabho gubhaabhushiyenje, “Kunkupinga lila kwei shalya sha Pashaka tukakolokoye?”
And the first day of the unleavened bread, in which the Jihudoyee sacrifice the Petscha, the disciples say to him, Where wilt thou that we go to prepare for thee to eat the Petscha?
13 Bhai a Yeshu gubhaatumilenje bhaajiganywa bhabho bhabhili, bhalikwalugulilanga, “Njendangananje kunjini, kweneko shing'imananje na bhandu bhamo bhajigele lulo lwa mashi, mwaakagulanje,
And he sent two of his disciples, and said to them, Go to the city, and, observe, a man meeteth you bearing a vessel of waters. Go after him;
14 mpaka nyumba jishibhajinjile, mwenemo nkaabhalanjilanje bhayene nyumba kuti, ‘Bhaajiganya bhanabhuya, jili kwei kati jajikulungwa ja bhajeninji, pushindame nne na bhaajiganywa bhangu nkulya Pashaka?’
and when he hath entered, say to the house-lord, Our Master saith, Where is the place of feasting, where I can eat with my disciples the Petscha?
15 Nabhalabho shibhannanguyanje kati jajikulungwa kunani jibhishilwe ukoto. Mwenemo nkolokoyanje shalya shetu.”
And, behold, he showeth you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.
16 Bhai bhaajiganywa bhala gubhapitengenenje kunjini, gubhakongenenje gowe malinga shibhabhalanjilwenje na a Yeshu. Gubhakolokoyenje shalya sha Pashaka.
And the disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had told them: and they prepared the Petscha.
17 Bhai likaisheje ligulo, gubhaikengenenje a Yeshu na bhaajiganywa bhabho likumi limo na bhabhili.
And when it was evening he came with his twelve.
18 Na bhalabhonji bhalinginji bhalilyanganga, a Yeshu gubhashite, “Kweli ngunakunnugulilanga, jumo jwenunji alya na nne, shandendebhushe.”
And as they reclined and ate, Jeshu said to them, Amen I tell you, That one of you who eateth with me shall betray me.
19 Penepo bhaajiganywa bhala gubhatandwibhenje kuinjika, jumo jumo gubhaabhushiyenje a Yeshu, “Bhuli nne?”
But they began to be sad, and said to him one, one, Is it I?
20 A Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje, “Jumo munkumbi gwenunji mmanganya, likumi limo na bhabhili, jwene apamba munkungu na nne.
But he said to them, One of the twelve who dippeth with me in the dish.
21 Pabha nne Mwana juka Mundu shiniiwile malinga shinyandishilwe Mmajandiko ga Ukonjelo, ikabheje mboteko yakwe, jwene mundu apinga ndendebhuka nne Mwana juka Mundu. Kaliji mbaya akanabhelekwe jwene mundujo.”
And the Son of man goeth, as it is written concerning him; but woe to that man by whom is betrayed the Son of man! It had been better for that man if he had not been born.
22 Nabhalabhonji pubhalinginji nkulya, a Yeshu gubhatolile nkate, gubhatendile eja kwa a Nnungu, gubhagebhenye nikwaapanganga bhaajiganywa bhabho bhalinkuti, “Ntolanje, sheshino shiilu shangu.”
And while they were eating, Jeshu took bread, and blessed, and brake, and gave to them, and said to them, Take; this is my body.
23 Kungai gubhatolile nngabho, gubhatendile eja kwa a Nnungu, gubhaapelenje bhowe, gubhalepeyenenje.
And he took the cup, and praised and blessed, and gave to them; and they drank of it, all of them.
24 Gubhaalugulilenje, “Jejino minyai jangu, jikong'ondela malagano, jijitika kwa ligongo lya bhandu bhaleshelelwanje yambi yabhonji na a Nnungu.
And he said to them, This is my blood of the new Covenant, which for many is shed.
25 Kweli ngunakummalanjilanga, ngapapila kabhili divai ja shabhibhu mpaka lyubha pushimbapile divai jaambi mu Upalume gwa a Nnungu.”
Amen I say to you, That again I will not drink from the fruit of the vine till that day in which I will drink it newly in the kingdom of Aloha.
26 Bhakajimbanjeje lwimbo, nigubhajabhulengenenje kwenda kushitumbi sha Misheituni.
And they praised, and went forth to the mount of Olives.
27 A Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje bhaajiganywa bhabho, “Mmowe shinngananje nineka. Pabha ishijandikwa Mmajandiko ga Ukonjelo ‘Shininkome nkushunga, na ngondolo shiipwilingane.’
AND Jeshu said to them, All of you will be offended with me in this night: for it is written, I will strike the Shepherd, and scattered shall be his sheep.
28 Ikabheje nyuywaga, shininnongolelanje kwenda ku Galilaya.”
But when I have arisen, I go before you into Galila.
29 A Petili gubhaalugulile, “Nkali bhowe bhannekangaga, nne nganneka!”
Kipha saith to him, If all shall be offended with thee, yet I (will) not.
30 A Yeshu gubhaajangwile a Petili, “Kweli ngunakummalanjila, shilo sha lelo, lipongo likanabhe kongobhela pabhili, shinngane patatu.”
Jeshu saith to him, Amen I tell thee, That thou, to-day, in this (very) night, before the cock shall crow, three times wilt deny me.
31 Ikabheje a Petili gubhapundile bheleketa, “Nkali ipinjikwaga kuwa na mmwe, ngu, nganneka.” Bhaajiganywa bhowe gubhabheleketenje nneyo peyo.
But he the more said, If I shall die with thee, I will not deny thee, my Lord. And so also all of the disciples said.
32 Bhai gubhaikengenenje kushitalu shishemwa Getishemane. Na a Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje bhaajiganywa bhabho, “Ntamangananje apano, nne nguli juga Nnungu.”
And they came to the place which is called Gedsimon; and he said to his disciples, Sit here until I have prayed.
33 Kungai gubhaatolile a Petili na a Yakobho na a Yowana, a Yeshu gubhatandwibhe kuinjika na tenguka kaje.
And he took with him Kipha and Jacub and Juchanon, and began to be sorrowful and agonized.
34 Gubhaalugulilenje bhaajiganywa bhala, “Ntima gwangu unainjika tome nawa. Ntamangananje apano nsheyanje.”
And he said to them, My soul is afflicted unto death; wait for me here, and be watchful.
35 Gubhapite mmujo kashoko, gubhagwile, gubhajujile bhalinkuti, “Ibhaga inakomboleka, bhai malanga ga mbotekoga gang'embushe.”
And he removed a little, and fell upon the earth, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
36 Gubhashite, “Atati, kwenu mmwe yowe inakomboleka. Mpingaga, nng'embuye na gene malanga ga mbotekoga, ikabheje nngabha malinga shingupinga nne, ikabhe malinga shinkupinga mmwe.”
And he said, Father, my Father, thou canst (do) every thing, cause to pass from me this cup: but not my will, but thine.
37 Bhai gubhabhujile, gubhaakongenenje bhagonilenje lugono. Gubhaabhushiye a Petili, “Bhuli a Shimoni! Nshigona? Mwangakombola kusheya kapela lishaa limo?”
And he came and found them sleeping: and he said to Kipha, Shemun, dost thou sleep? couldst thou not one hour watch?
38 Kungai gubhaalugulilenje, “Nsheyanje nnijuganga, nkupinga nnajinjilangane mmalinjilo. Ntima ulipinga, ikabheje shiilu shangali mashili.”
Be wakeful and pray, that you enter not into temptation: the spirit is willing and ready, but the body is infirm.
39 Gubhapite juga kabhili bhalibhujila malobhe gala pegala.
And he went again, prayed, and said that word.
40 Kungai gubhabhujile kabhili, gubhaaimenenje bhaajiganywa bhagonilenje, pabha meyo gabhonji gashinkutopelwa na lugono, wala bhangakombolanga kwaajangula.
And he turned again, came and found them sleeping, because their eyes were made heavy, and they knew not what to say to him.
41 Bhakaaishilanjeje gwatatu, gubhaalugulilenje, “Launo nnagonanga na pumulila? Nnaino itogolele! Malanga gaishe, nne Mwana juka Mundu kukamuywa mmakon ga bhandu bhakwetenje yambi.
And he came three times (the third time), and said to them, Sleep on, and be at rest. The end approacheth, and the hour cometh, and, behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
42 Nnjumukanje, tujabhule, nnolanje andendebhuka jula abhandishile.”
Arise, we will go; behold, he draweth nigh who betrayeth me.
43 Bhai a Yeshu pubhaliji nkubheleketa genego, shangupe gubhaishe a Yuda bhaaliji munkumbi gwa bhaajiganywa likumi limo na bhabhili bhala, bhali bhalongene na likundi lya bhandunji bhajigelenje mapanga na ndonga, bhalikoposhelanga ku bhakulungwanji bhaabhishila na bhaajiganya bha Shalia ya a Musha na bhanangulungwa.
And while he was speaking, Jihuda Scarjuta, one of the twelve, came, and with him a multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the Sophree and the elders.
44 Bhene bhaatendebhwishe a Yeshu, bhashinkwaapanganga bhandunji bhala shilangulo, bhalinkuti, “Bhene bhushinaajambatebho, mwaakamulanje mwaabhikanje muulinda.”
And the traitor who betrayed had given to them a sign, and said, He whom I shall kiss is He: take him carefully and lead him.
45 Bhai shangupe a Yuda gubhaishe, gubhaajendele a Yeshu, gubhashite, “Mmajiganya!” Nigubhaajambete.
And immediately he approached, and said to him, Rabi, Rabi, and kissed him.
46 Bhai bhandunji bhala gubhaakamwilenje a Yeshu nikwaatabha.
Then they laid on him their hands and seized him.
47 Jumo munkumbi gwa bhajimingene pamo na a Yeshu bhala, gwaolomwele upanga, gwaleshele nikunkata likutu ntumwa jwa Bhakulungwa Bhaabhishila.
But one of those who stood drew a sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, and took off his ear.
48 A Yeshu gubhaabhushiyenje bhandunji bhala, “Nshinyiilanga na mapanga na ndonga kungamula mbuti ngwii?
But Jeshu answered and said to them, As against a robber are you come out against me, with swords and with staves to apprehend me?
49 Mobha gowe punaliji na mmanganya kunyumba ja a Nnungu nilijiganya, mwangangamulanga. Ikabheje nnaino ganakoposhela genega nkupinga gamalile Majandiko ga Ukonjelo.”
Every day with you was I teaching in the temple, and ye did not take me; but to fulfil the scriptures this is done.
50 Penepo bhaajiganywa bhowe gubhabhutukenje nikwaaleka a Yeshu.
Then his disciples forsook him and fled.
51 Ashinkupagwa nshanda jumo abhakagulaga a Yeshu ali aiunishile nngubho jimope ja kitani, bhai gubhalinjilenje kunkamula.
But a certain youth followed him, and he was covered (with) a linen cloth, naked; and they laid hold on him:
52 Ikabheje gwaleshile nngubho jila, gwabhutwishe makonope.
but he left the linen cloth, and escaped naked.
53 Bhai gubhaapelekenje a Yeshu kubhakulungwanji bhaabhishila, kweneko gubhaimenenje bhakulungwanji bhaabhishila bhowe, na bhanangulungwa, na bhaajiganya bha Shalia ya a Musha.
And they led Jeshu to Kaiapha, chief of the priests: and were gathered together to him all the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
54 A Petili gubhaakagwile a Yeshu kwataliya, gubhajinjile nnugwani lwa Bhakulungwa Bhaabhishila, gubhatemi pamo na bhalinda bhalijota moto.
But Shemun from afar came after him, until within the court of the chief of the priests: and he sat with the servants, and warmed (himself) at the fire.
55 Bhai bhakulungwanji bhaabhishila na bhalukumbi bhowe bha Lukumbi Lukulu lwa Bhayaudi, gubhaloleyenje shiumilo sha kwa bhulajila a Yeshu. Ikabheje bhangashipatanga.
But the chief priests and all the assembly of them sought against Jeshu testimony to put him to death, but they found not.
56 Bhandu bhabhagwinji gubhakong'ondelenje ya unami, ikabheje ukong'ondelo gwabhonji gwangalandana.
For when many bore witness against him, their testimonies were not equal.
57 Na bhananji gubhakong'ondelenje ya unami bhalinkutinji,
But men rose up against him, witnesses of falsehood, and said,
58 “Twashinkwaapilikana bhenebha bhalinkuti, ‘Nne shimomole Liekalu lishenjilwe na bhanduli, nishenga lina kwa mobha gatatu, nngabha na makono.’”
We heard him say, I dissolve this temple which is made with hands, and in three days I build another not made with hands.
59 Ikabheje nkali nneyo, ukong'ondelo gwabhonji gwangalandana.
But neither so was their testimony equal.
60 Bhai penepo Bhakulungwa Bhaabhishila gubhajimi pakati pakati jabhonji gubhaabhushiye a Yeshu, bhalinkuti, “Bhuli, nkajangula shindu? Bhandunjibha bhakunkong'ondelanga nndi?”
And the chief of the priests arose in the midst, and questioned Jeshu, and said, Returnest thou no answer? what witness against thee these?
61 Ikabheje bhenebho gubhatemi ilili, bhangajangula shindu. Bhakulungwa Bhaabhishila gubhaabhushiye kabhili, “Bhuli mmwe ni a Kilishitu, Bhana bhabho a Nnungu bha Ukonjelo?”
But Jeshu was silent, and answered him nothing. And again the chief of the priests demanded, and said, Art thou the Meshicha, the Son of the Blessed?
62 A Yeshu gubhajangwile, “Elo! Ni nne. Numbe shimmonanje nne Mwana juka Mundu ndemi nkono nnilo gwa Bhakulungwa bhakwete mashili, ngulikwiya mmaunde ga kunnungu.”
And he, Jeshu, said to him, I am: and you shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming upon the clouds of heaven.
63 Penepo Bhakulungwa Bhaabhishila gubhapapwile nngubho yabho, bhalinkuti, “Tupinjila nndi bhaakong'ondela bhana?
Then the chief of the priests tore his robe, and said, Why now seek we witnesses?
64 Mpilikenenje matukano gabho! Bhai mmanganyanji nkutinji bhuli?” Bhowe gubhapetenenje kuti, bhabhulagwe.
Behold, from his own lips you have heard the blasphemy: how is it seen by you? And they all judged that he was guilty of death.
65 Bhai bhananji gubhatandwibhenje kwaunilanga mata, gubhaaunishilenje kumeyo, nikwaakomanga akuno bhalikwabhuyanga, “Nnondole, gani ankomile!” Na bhalinda gubhaakomilenje mapapa.
And some began to spit on his person, and they struck him on his face, and did buffet him, saying, Prophesy! and the servitors struck him upon his cheeks.
66 Bhai a Petili bhali nnugwani mula, ntumishi jumo jwankongwe jwa Bhakulungwa Bhaabhishila gwaishe,
And Shemun being below in the court, there came a certain damsel of the chief of the priests.
67 akaabhoneje a Petili bhalijota moto, gwabhalolile nigwashite, “Nkali mmwe, pumwaaliji pamo na a Yeshu Bhanashaleti.”
She saw him as he warmed (himself), and knew him, saying to him, Thou also wast with Jeshu Natsroia.
68 Ikabheje a Petili gubhakanile bhalinkuti, “Ngakushimanya shinkubheleketasho!” Kungai a Petili gubhakopweshe palanga lugwani. Penepo lipongo gwakongobhele.
But he denied, and said, I know not what thou sayest. And he went without into the vestibule; and the cock crew.
69 Jwankongwe jula akaabhoneje a Petili kabhili, gwabhalugulilenje bhandunji bhalinginji penepo, “Bhene bhandubha, bha munkumbi gwabhonji.”
And again that damsel saw him, and she began to say to those who were standing, This man is also of them.
70 A Petili gubhakanile kabhili. Bhandunji bhatemingenenje pepala, gubhaalugulilenje a Petili, “Nngabha unami, mmwe nkumbi gumo, pabha mmwe mmandu bha ku Galilaya.”
But he again denied. And after a little while those who stood said to Kipha, Assuredly thou art from them, for thou art also a Galiloia, and thy speech is similar.
71 Ikabheje a Petili gubhatandwibhe kulosha na lumbila, “Ngakwamanya bhene bhandu bhunkwalugulangabha.”
But he began to imprecate and to swear, I know not this man of whom thou speakest. And in the hour the cock crew the second time.
72 Penepo lipongo gwakongobhele gwabhili. Bhai a Petili gubhakumbushile malobhe gubhalugulilwe na a Yeshu kuti, “Lipongo likanabhe kongobhela pabhili, shinngane patatu.” A Petili gubhatengwishe niguta.
And Shemun remembered the word that Jeshu had spoken to him, That before the cock should crow twice, three times thou shalt deny me. And he began to weep.
