| و بنهدد، پادشاه ارام، تمامی لشکر خودرا جمع کرد، و سی و دو پادشاه و اسبان و ارابه‌ها همراهش بودند. پس برآمده، سامره رامحاصره کرد و با آن جنگ نمود. | ۱ 1 |
And Ben-Hadad king of Aram has gathered all his force, and thirty-two kings [are] with him, and horse and chariot, and he goes up and lays siege against Samaria, and fights with it,
| و رسولان نزداخاب پادشاه اسرائیل به شهر فرستاده، وی راگفت: «بنهدد چنین می‌گوید: | ۲ 2 |
and sends messengers to Ahab king of Israel, to the city,
| نقره تو و طلای تواز آن من است و زنان و پسران مقبول تو از آن منند.» | ۳ 3 |
and says to him, “Thus said Ben-Hadad: Your silver and your gold are mine, and your wives and your sons—the best—are mine.”
| و پادشاه اسرائیل در جواب گفت: «ای آقایم پادشاه! موافق کلام تو، من و هر‌چه دارم ازآن تو هستیم.» | ۴ 4 |
And the king of Israel answers and says, “According to your word, my lord, O king: I [am] yours, and all that I have.”
| و رسولان بار دیگر آمده، گفتند: «بنهدد چنین امر فرموده، می‌گوید: به درستی که من نزد تو فرستاده، گفتم که نقره و طلا و زنان وپسران خود را به من بدهی. | ۵ 5 |
And the messengers turn back and say, “Thus spoke Ben-Hadad, saying, Surely I sent to you, saying, Your silver, and your gold, and your wives, and your sons, you give to me;
| پس‌فردا قریب به این وقت، بندگان خود را نزد تو می‌فرستم تا خانه تو را و خانه بندگانت را جستجو نمایند و هر‌چه در نظر تو پسندیده است به‌دست خود گرفته، خواهند برد.» | ۶ 6 |
for if, at this time tomorrow, I send my servants to you, then they have searched your house, and the houses of your servants, and it has been [that] every desirable thing of your eyes they place in their hand, and have taken [them] away.”
| آنگاه پادشاه اسرائیل تمامی مشایخ زمین راخوانده، گفت: «بفهمید و ببینید که این مرد چگونه بدی را می‌اندیشد، زیرا که چون به جهت زنان وپسرانم و نقره و طلایم فرستاده بود، او را انکارنکردم.» | ۷ 7 |
And the king of Israel calls to all [the] elderly of the land and says, “Please know and see that this [one] is seeking evil, for he sent to me for my wives, and for my sons, and for my silver, and for my gold, and I did not withhold from him.”
| آنگاه جمیع مشایخ و تمامی قوم وی راگفتند: او را مشنو و قبول منما.» | ۸ 8 |
And all the elderly and all the people say to him, “Do not listen, nor consent.”
| پس به رسولان بنهدد گفت: «به آقایم، پادشاه بگویید: هر‌چه باراول به بنده خود فرستادی بجا خواهم آورد، امااینکار را نمی توانم کرد.» پس رسولان مراجعت کرده، جواب را به او رسانیدند. | ۹ 9 |
And he says to the messengers of Ben-Hadad, “Say to my lord the king, All that you sent to your servant for at the first I do, and this thing I am not able to do”; and the messengers go and take him back word.
| آنگاه بنهدد نزدوی فرستاده، گفت: «خدایان، مثل این بلکه زیاده از این به من عمل نمایند اگر گرد سامره کفایت مشتهای همه مخلوقی را که همراه من باشندبکند.» | ۱۰ 10 |
And Ben-Hadad sends to him and says, “Thus the gods do to me, and thus do they add, if the dust of Samaria suffice for handfuls for all the people who [are] at my feet.”
| و پادشاه اسرائیل در جواب گفت: «وی را بگویید: آنکه اسلحه می‌پوشد مثل آنکه می‌گشاید فخر نکند.» | ۱۱ 11 |
And the king of Israel answers and says, “Speak: Do not let him who is girding on boast himself as him who is loosing [his armor].”
| و چون این جواب راشنید در حالی که او و پادشاهان در خیمه هامیگساری می‌نمودند، به بندگان خود گفت: «صف آرایی بنمایید.» پس در برابر شهرصف آرایی نمودند. | ۱۲ 12 |
And it comes to pass at the hearing of this word—and he is drinking, he and the kings, in the shelters—that he says to his servants, “Set yourselves”; and they set themselves against the city.
| و اینک نبی‌ای نزد اخاب، پادشاه اسرائیل آمده، گفت: «خداوند چنین می‌گوید: آیا این گروه عظیم را می‌بینی؟ همانا من امروز آن را به‌دست تو تسلیم می‌نمایم تا بدانی که من یهوه هستم.» | ۱۳ 13 |
And behold, a certain prophet has come near to Ahab king of Israel and says, “Thus said YHWH: Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I am giving it into your hand today, and you have known that I [am] YHWH.”
| اخاب گفت: «به واسطه که؟» او در جواب گفت: «خداوند می‌گوید به واسطه خادمان سروران کشورها.» گفت: «کیست که جنگ راشروع کند؟» جواب داد: «تو.» | ۱۴ 14 |
And Ahab says, “By whom?” And he says, “Thus said YHWH: By the young men of the heads of the provinces”; and he says, “Who directs the battle?” And he says, “You.”
| پس خادمان سروران کشورها را سان دید که ایشان دویست وسی و دو نفر بودند و بعد از ایشان، تمامی قوم، یعنی تمامی بنی‌اسرائیل را سان دید که هفت هزار نفر بودند. | ۱۵ 15 |
And he inspects the young men of the heads of the provinces, and they are two hundred and thirty-two, and after them he has mustered all the people, all the sons of Israel—seven thousand,
| و در وقت ظهر بیرون رفتند و بنهدد با آن پادشاهان یعنی آن سی و سه پادشاه که مددکار اومی بودند، در خیمه‌ها به میگساری مشغول بودند. | ۱۶ 16 |
and they go out at noon, and Ben-Hadad is drinking—drunk in the shelters, he and the kings, the thirty-two kings helping him.
| و خادمان سروران کشورها اول بیرون رفتند وبنهدد کسان فرستاد و ایشان او را خبر داده، گفتندکه «مردمان از سامره بیرون می‌آیند.» | ۱۷ 17 |
And the young men of the heads of the provinces go out at the first, and Ben-Hadad sends, and they declare to him, saying, “Men have come out of Samaria.”
| او گفت: «خواه برای صلح بیرون آمده باشند، ایشان رازنده بگیرید، و خواه به جهت جنگ بیرون آمده باشند، ایشان را زنده بگیرید.» | ۱۸ 18 |
And he says, “If they have come out for peace, catch them alive; and if they have come out for battle, catch them alive.”
| پس ایشان از شهر بیرون آمدند، یعنی خادمان سروران کشورها و لشکری که در عقب ایشان بود. | ۱۹ 19 |
And these have gone out of the city—the young men of the heads of the provinces—and the force that [is] after them,
| هر کس از ایشان حریف خود راکشت و ارامیان فرار کردند و اسرائیلیان ایشان راتعاقب نمودند و بنهدد پادشاه ارام بر اسب‌سوارشده، با چند سوار رهایی یافتند. | ۲۰ 20 |
and each strikes his man, and Aram flees, and Israel pursues them, and Ben-Hadad king of Aram escapes on a horse—and the horsemen;
| و پادشاه اسرائیل بیرون رفته، سواران و ارابه‌ها را شکست داد، و ارامیان را به کشتار عظیمی کشت. | ۲۱ 21 |
and the king of Israel goes out, and strikes the horses, and the charioteers, and has struck among the Arameans a great striking.
| و آن نبی نزد پادشاه اسرائیل آمده، وی راگفت: «برو و خویشتن را قوی ساز و متوجه شده، ببین که چه می‌کنی زیرا که در وقت تحویل سال، پادشاه ارام بر تو خواهد برآمد.» | ۲۲ 22 |
And the prophet comes near to the king of Israel and says to him, “Go, strengthen yourself, and know and see that which you do, for at the turn of the year the king of Aram is coming up against you.”
| و بندگان پادشاه ارام، وی را گفتند: «خدایان ایشان خدایان کوهها می‌باشند و از این سبب بر ما غالب آمدند اما اگر با ایشان درهمواری جنگ نماییم، هر آینه بر ایشان غالب خواهیم آمد. | ۲۳ 23 |
And the servants of the king of Aram said to him, “Their gods [are] gods of hills, therefore they were stronger than us; and yet, we fight with them in the plain—are we not stronger than they?
| پس به اینطور عمل نما که هریک از پادشاهان را ازجای خود عزل کرده، به‌جای ایشان سرداران بگذار. | ۲۴ 24 |
And this thing you do: turn aside each of the kings out of his place, and set captains in their stead;
| و تو لشکری رامثل لشکری که از تو تلف شده است، اسب به‌جای اسب و ارابه به‌جای ارابه برای خود بشمارتا با ایشان در همواری جنگ نماییم و البته برایشان غالب خواهیم آمد.» پس سخن ایشان را اجابت نموده، به همین طور عمل نمود. | ۲۵ 25 |
and you, number for yourself a force as the force that is fallen from you, and horse for horse, and chariot for chariot, and we fight with them in the plain; are we not stronger than they?” And he listens to their voice, and does so.
| و در وقت تحویل سال، بنهدد ارامیان راسان دیده، به افیق برآمد تا با اسرائیل جنگ نماید. | ۲۶ 26 |
And it comes to pass at the turn of the year, that Ben-Hadad inspects the Arameans, and goes up to Aphek, to battle with Israel,
| و بنی‌اسرائیل را سان دیده، زاد دادند وبه مقابله ایشان رفتند و بنی‌اسرائیل در برابر ایشان مثل دو گله کوچک بزغاله اردو زدند، اما ارامیان زمین را پر کردند. | ۲۷ 27 |
and the sons of Israel have been inspected, and supported, and go to meet them, and the sons of Israel encamp before them, like two flocks of goats, and the Arameans have filled the land.
| و آن مرد خدا نزدیک آمده، پادشاه اسرائیل را خطاب کرده، گفت: «خداوندچنین می‌گوید: چونکه ارامیان می‌گویند که یهوه خدای کوههاست و خدای وادیها نیست، لهذاتمام این گروه عظیم را به‌دست تو تسلیم خواهم نمود تا بدانید که من یهوه هستم.» | ۲۸ 28 |
And a man of God comes near, and speaks to the king of Israel and says, “Thus said YHWH: Because that the Arameans have said, YHWH [is] God of [the] hills, but He [is] not God of [the] valleys—I have given the whole of this great multitude into your hand, and you have known that I [am] YHWH.”
| و اینان درمقابل آنان، هفت روز اردو زدند و در روز هفتم جنگ، با هم پیوستند و بنی‌اسرائیل صد هزارپیاده ارامیان را در یک روز کشتند. | ۲۹ 29 |
And they encamp opposite one another [for] seven days, and it comes to pass on the seventh day, that the battle draws near, and the sons of Israel strike one hundred thousand footmen of Aram in one day.
| و باقی ماندگان به شهر افیق فرار کردند و حصار بر بیست و هفت هزار نفر از باقی ماندگان افتاد. | ۳۰ 30 |
And those left flee to Aphek, into the city, and the wall falls on twenty-seven chief men who are left, and Ben-Hadad has fled, and comes into the city, into the innermost part.
| و بندگانش وی را گفتند: «هماناشنیده‌ایم که پادشاهان خاندان اسرائیل، پادشاهان حلیم می‌باشند، پس بر کمر خود پلاس و بر سر خود ریسمانها ببندیم و نزد پادشاه اسرائیل بیرون رویم شاید که جان تو را زنده نگاه دارد. | ۳۱ 31 |
And his servants say to him, “Now behold, we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel—that they are kind kings; please let us put sackcloth on our loins and ropes on our heads, and we go out to the king of Israel; it may be he keeps you alive.”
| و پلاس بر کمرهای خود و ریسمانها برسر خود بسته، نزد پادشاه اسرائیل آمده، گفتند: «بنده تو، بنهدد می‌گوید: تمنا اینکه جانم زنده بماند.» او جواب داد: «آیا او تا حال زنده است؟ او برادر من می‌باشد.» | ۳۲ 32 |
And they gird sackcloth on their loins, and ropes [are] on their heads, and they come to the king of Israel, and say, “Your servant Ben-Hadad has said, Please let me live”; and he says, “Is he still alive? He [is] my brother.”
| پس آن مردان تفال نموده، آن را به زودی از دهان وی گرفتند وگفتند: «برادر تو بنهدد!» پس او گفت: «بروید و اورا بیاورید.» و چون بنهدد نزد او بیرون آمد، او رابر ارابه خود سوار کرد. | ۳۳ 33 |
And the men observe diligently, and hurry, and catch [the word] from him, and say, “Your brother Ben-Hadad”; and he says, “Go in, bring him”; and Ben-Hadad comes out to him, and he causes him to come up on the chariot.
| و (بنهدد) وی را گفت: «شهرهایی را که پدر من از پدر تو گرفت، پس می‌دهم و برای خود در دمشق کوچه‌ها بساز، چنانکه پدر من در سامره ساخت.» (در جواب گفت ): «من تو را به این عهد رها می‌کنم.» پس با اوعهد بست و او را رها کرد. | ۳۴ 34 |
And he says to him, “The cities that my father took from your father, I give back, and you make streets for yourself in Damascus, as my father did in Samaria; and I, with a covenant, send you away”; and he makes a covenant with him, and sends him away.
| و مردی از پسران انبیا به فرمان خداوند به رفیق خود گفت: «مرا بزن.» اما آن مرد از زدنش ابانمود. | ۳۵ 35 |
And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his neighbor by the word of YHWH, “Please strike me”; and the man refuses to strike him,
| و او وی را گفت: «چونکه آواز خداوندرا نشنیدی همانا چون از نزد من بروی شیری تو راخواهد کشت.» پس چون از نزد وی رفته بود، شیری او را یافته، کشت. | ۳۶ 36 |
and he says to him, “Because that you have not listened to the voice of YHWH, behold, you are going from me, and the lion has struck you”; and he goes from him, and the lion finds him, and strikes him.
| و او شخصی دیگر راپیدا کرده، گفت: «مرا بزن.» و آن مرد او را ضربتی زده، مجروح ساخت. | ۳۷ 37 |
And he finds another man and says, “Please strike me”; and the man strikes him, striking and wounding,
| پس آن نبی رفته، به‌سرراه منتظر پادشاه ایستاد، و عصابه خود را برچشمان خود کشیده، خویشتن را متنکر نمود. | ۳۸ 38 |
and the prophet goes and stands for the king on the way, and disguises himself with ashes on his eyes.
| و چون پادشاه درگذر می‌بود او به پادشاه ندا درداد و گفت که «بنده تو به میان جنگ رفت و اینک شخصی میل کرده، کسی را نزد من آورد و گفت: این مرد را نگاه دار و اگر مفقود شود جان تو به عوض جان او خواهد بود یا یک وزنه نقره خواهی داد. | ۳۹ 39 |
And it comes to pass—the king is passing by—that he has cried to the king and says, “Your servant went out into the midst of the battle, and behold, a man has turned aside and brings a man to me, and says, Keep this man; if he is at all missing, then your life has been for his life, or you weigh out a talent of silver;
| و چون بنده تو اینجا و آنجا مشغول می‌بود او غایب شد.» پس پادشاه اسرائیل وی راگفت: «حکم تو چنین است. خودت فتوی دادی.» | ۴۰ 40 |
and it comes to pass, your servant is working here and there, and he is not!” And the king of Israel says to him, “Your judgment [is] right; you have determined [it].”
| پس به زودی عصابه را از چشمان خودبرداشت و پادشاه اسرائیل او را شناخت که یکی از انبیاست. | ۴۱ 41 |
And he hurries and turns aside the ashes from off his eyes, and the king of Israel discerns him, that he [is] of the prophets,
| او وی را گفت: «خداوند چنین می‌گوید: چون تو مردی را که من به هلاکت سپرده بودم از دست خود رها کردی، جان تو به عوض جان او و قوم تو به عوض قوم او خواهند بود.» | ۴۲ 42 |
and he says to him, “Thus said YHWH: Because you have sent away the man I devoted, out of [your] hand, even your life has been for his life, and your people for his people”;
| پس پادشاه اسرائیل پریشان حال و مغموم شده، به خانه خود رفت و به سامره داخل شد. | ۴۳ 43 |
and the king of Israel goes to his house, sulky and angry, and comes to Samaria.
