| ای برادران من، ایمان خداوند ما عیسی مسیح، رب الجلال را با ظاهربینی مدارید. | ۱ 1 |
My brothers, do not hold the faith of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah of glory with partiality.
| زیرا اگر به کنیسه شما شخصی با انگشتری زرین و لباس نفیس داخل شود و فقیری نیز باپوشاک ناپاک درآید، | ۲ 2 |
For if someone with a gold ring, in fine clothing, comes into your synagogue, and a poor person in filthy clothing also comes in;
| و به صاحب لباس فاخرمتوجه شده، گویید: «اینجا نیکو بنشین» و به فقیرگویید: «تو در آنجا بایست یا زیر پای انداز من بنشین»، | ۳ 3 |
and you pay special attention to the one who wears the fine clothing, and say, "Sit here in a good place;" but you tell the poor person, "Stand there," or "Sit by my footstool."
| آیا در خود متردد نیستید و داوران خیالات فاسد نشده‌اید؟ | ۴ 4 |
Have you not discriminated among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?
| ای برادران عزیز، گوش دهید. آیا خدا فقیران این جهان را برنگزیده است تا دولتمند در ایمان و وارث آن ملکوتی که به محبان خود وعده فرموده است بشوند؟ | ۵ 5 |
Listen, my beloved brothers. Did not God choose those who are poor in this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the Kingdom which he promised to those who love him?
| لکن شما فقیر را حقیر شمرده‌اید. آیا دولتمندان برشما ستم نمی کنند و شما را در محکمه هانمی کشند؟ | ۶ 6 |
But you have dishonored the poor person. Do not the rich oppress you, and personally drag you before the courts?
| آیا ایشان به آن نام نیکو که بر شما نهاده شده است کفر نمی گویند؟ | ۷ 7 |
Do not they blaspheme the honorable name by which you are called?
| اما اگر آن شریعت ملوکانه را برحسب کتاب به‌جا آورید یعنی «همسایه خود را مثل نفس خود محبت نما» نیکو می‌کنید. | ۸ 8 |
However, if you fulfill the royal law, according to the Scripture, "You are to love your neighbor as yourself," you do well.
| لکن اگرظاهربینی کنید، گناه می‌کنید و شریعت شما را به خطاکاری ملزم می‌سازد. | ۹ 9 |
But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors.
| زیرا هرکه تمام شریعت را نگاه دارد و در یک جزو بلغزد، ملزم همه می‌باشد. | ۱۰ 10 |
For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.
| زیرا او که گفت: «زنا مکن»، نیزگفت: «قتل مکن». پس هرچند زنا نکنی، اگر قتل کردی، از شریعت تجاوز نمودی. | ۱۱ 11 |
For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not commit murder." Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
| همچنین سخن گویید و عمل نمایید مانند کسانی که برایشان داوری به شریعت آزادی خواهد شد. | ۱۲ 12 |
So speak, and so do, as those who are to be judged by a law of freedom.
| زیرا آن داوری بی‌رحم خواهد بود برکسی‌که رحم نکرده است و رحم بر داوری مفتخرمی شود. | ۱۳ 13 |
For judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
| ای برادران من، چه سود دارد اگر کسی گوید: «ایمان دارم» وقتی که عمل ندارد؟ آیاایمان می‌تواند او را نجات‌بخشد؟ | ۱۴ 14 |
What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him?
| پس اگربرادری یا خواهری برهنه و محتاج خوراک روزینه باشد، | ۱۵ 15 |
And if a brother or sister is poorly clothed and may be lacking in daily food,
| و کسی از شما بدیشان گوید: «به سلامتی بروید و گرم و سیر شوید»، لیکن مایحتاج بدن را بدیشان ندهد، چه نفع دارد؟ | ۱۶ 16 |
and one of you tells them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled;" and yet you did not give them the things the body needs, what good is it?
| همچنین ایمان نیز اگر اعمال ندارد، در خودمرده است. | ۱۷ 17 |
Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.
| بلکه کسی خواهد گفت: «تو ایمان داری و من اعمال دارم. ایمان خود را بدون اعمال به من بنما و من ایمان خود را از اعمال خود به توخواهم نمود.» | ۱۸ 18 |
But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without works, and I by my works will show you my faith.
| تو ایمان داری که خدا واحداست؟ نیکو می‌کنی! شیاطین نیز ایمان دارند و می لرزند! | ۱۹ 19 |
You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe, and shudder.
| و لیکن‌ای مرد باطل، آیا می‌خواهی دانست که ایمان بدون اعمال، باطل است؟ | ۲۰ 20 |
But do you want to know, foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?
| آیا پدر ما ابراهیم به اعمال، عادل شمرده نشد وقتی که پسر خود اسحاق را به قربانگاه گذرانید؟ | ۲۱ 21 |
Wasn't Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?
| می‌بینی که ایمان با اعمال او عمل کرد و ایمان از اعمال، کامل گردید. | ۲۲ 22 |
You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected;
| و آن نوشته تمام گشت که می‌گوید: «ابراهیم به خداایمان آورد و برای او به عدالت محسوب گردید»، و دوست خدا نامیده شد. | ۲۳ 23 |
and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "And Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness;" and he was called the friend of God.
| پس می‌بینید که انسان از اعمال عادل شمرده می‌شود، نه از ایمان تنها. | ۲۴ 24 |
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
| و همچنین آیا راحاب فاحشه نیز ازاعمال عادل شمرده نشد وقتی که قاصدان راپذیرفته، به راهی دیگر روانه نمود؟ | ۲۵ 25 |
In like manner was not Rahab the prostitute also justified by works, in that she received the messengers, and sent them out another way?
| زیراچنانکه بدن بدون روح مرده است، همچنین ایمان بدون اعمال نیز مرده است. | ۲۶ 26 |
For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.
