مزامیر 119

1 خوشا به حال آنان که راست‌کردارند، و مطابق شریعت خداوند رفتار می‌کنند.

Alleluia. Blessed are the blameless in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

2 خوشا به حال کسانی که احکام خداوند را بجا می‌آورند، از صمیم قلب او را اطاعت می‌کنند

Blessed are they that search out his testimonies: they will diligently seek him with the whole heart.

3 و به راههای کج نمی‌روند، بلکه در راههایی گام برمی‌دارند که خدا نشان داده است.

For they that work iniquity have not walked in his ways.

4 خداوندا، تو فرمانهای خود را به ما داده‌ای و فرموده‌ای که آنها را با جدیت انجام دهیم.

Thou hast commanded [us] diligently to keep thy precepts.

5 چقدر آرزو دارم که در انجام فرایض تو مطیع و وفادار باشم!

O that my ways were directed to keep thine ordinances.

6 اگر تمام دستورهای تو را پیوسته در نظر داشته باشم، هیچوقت شرمنده نخواهم شد!

Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect to all thy commandments.

7 وقتی قوانین منصفانهٔ تو را بیاموزم، از صمیم قلب تو را حمد خواهم گفت!

I will give thee thanks with uprightness of heart, when I have learnt the judgments of thy righteousness.

8 ای خداوند، فرایض تو را بجا خواهم آورد؛ تو هیچگاه مرا ترک نکن!

I will keep thine ordinances: O forsake me not greatly.

9 مرد جوان چگونه می‌تواند زندگی خود را پاک نگاه دارد؟ به‌وسیلۀ خواندن کلام خدا و اطاعت از دستورهای آن!

Wherewith shall a young man direct his way? by keeping thy words.

10 خداوندا، با تمام وجودم تو را می‌جویم، پس نگذار از احکام تو منحرف شوم.

With my whole heart have I diligently sought thee: cast me not away from thy commandments.

11 کلام تو را در دل خود حفظ می‌کنم و به خاطر می‌سپارم تا مبادا نسبت به تو گناه ورزم!

I have hidden thine oracles in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.

12 ای خداوند متبارک، فرایض خود را به من بیاموز!

Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thine ordinances.

13 تمام قوانین تو را با صدای بلند بیان خواهم کرد.

With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.

14 بیش از هر چیز دیگر، از پیروی قوانین تو لذت می‌برم! در کلام تو تفکر خواهم کرد و فرمانهایت را به خاطر خواهم سپرد.

I have delighted in the way of thy testimonies, [as much] as in all riches.

I will meditate on thy commandments, and consider thy ways.

16 از فرایض تو لذت می‌برم و هرگز آنها را فراموش نخواهم کرد.

I will meditate on thine ordinances: I will not forget thy words.

17 خداوندا، به خدمتگزارت احسان نما تا زنده بمانم و کلام تو را اطاعت کنم.

Render a recompense to thy servant: [so] shall I live, and keep thy words.

18 چشمانم را بگشا تا حقایق شگفت‌انگیز شریعت تو را ببینم.

Unveil thou mine eyes, and I shall perceive wondrous things of thy law.

19 من در این دنیا غریب هستم؛ ای خدا، احکام خود را از من مخفی مدار.

I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

20 اشتیاق به دانستن قوانین تو، همچون آتش همواره جانم را می‌سوزاند!

My soul has longed exceedingly for thy judgments at all times.

21 تو متکبران ملعون را که از احکام تو منحرف می‌شوند، مجازات خواهی کرد.

Thou has rebuked the proud: cursed are they that turn aside from thy commandments.

22 ننگ و رسوایی را از من بگیر، زیرا احکام تو را انجام داده‌ام.

Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have sought out thy testimonies.

23 حکمرانان می‌نشینند و بر ضد من توطئه می‌چینند، اما من به فرایض تو فکر می‌کنم.

For princes sat and spoke against me: but thy servant was meditating on thine ordinances.

24 احکام تو موجب شادی من است و همیشه مرا راهنمایی کرده است.

For thy testimonies are my (meditation) and thine ordinances are my counsellors.

25 ای خداوند، جانم به خاک چسبیده است؛ مطابق کلامت مرا زنده ساز!

My soul has cleaved to the ground; quicken thou me according to thy word.

26 راههای خود را آشکار کردم و تو مرا اجابت فرمودی. اکنون فرایض خود را به من بیاموز.

I declared my ways, and thou didst hear me: teach me thine ordinances.

27 فرمانهایت را به من یاد ده تا دربارهٔ کلام شگفت‌انگیز تو تفکر نمایم.

Instruct me in the way of thine ordinances; and I will meditate on thy wondrous works.

28 جان من از حزن و اندوه پژمرده می‌شود؛ با کلامت جان مرا تازه ساز!

My soul has slumbered for sorrow; strengthen thou me with thy words.

29 نگذار به راه خطا روم؛ شریعت خود را به من بشناسان.

Remove from me the way of iniquity; and be merciful to me by thy law.

30 من راه وفاداری را اختیار نموده‌ام و قوانین تو را از نظر خود دور نداشته‌ام.

I have chosen the way of truth; and have not forgotten thy judgments.

31 خداوندا، احکام تو را بجا می‌آورم؛ مگذار شرمنده شوم.

I have cleaved to thy testimonies, O Lord; put me not to shame.

32 با اشتیاق فراوان در احکام تو گام برمی‌دارم، زیرا تو دل مرا از بند رها ساختی.

I ran the way of thy commandments, when thou didst enlarge my heart.

33 ای خداوند، راه اجرای فرایض خود را به من بیاموز و من همیشه آنها را انجام خواهم داد.

Teach me, O Lord, the way of thine ordinances, and I will seek it out continually.

34 به من فهم و حکمت بده تا با تمام دل شریعت تو را نگاه دارم.

Instruct me, and I will search out thy law, and will keep it with my whole heart.

35 مرا در راه احکامت هدایت کن، زیرا از آنها لذت می‌برم.

Guide me in the path of thy commandments; for I have delighted in it.

36 دل مرا به سوی احکامت مایل ساز، نه به سوی حرص و طمع!

Incline mine heart to thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.

37 مگذار به آنچه بی‌ارزش است توجه کنم؛ مرا با کلامت احیا کن!

Turn away mine eyes that I may not behold vanity: quicken thou me in thy way.

38 طبق وعده‌ای که به من داده‌ای عمل نما همان وعده‌ای که تو به مطیعان خود می‌دهی!

Confirm thine oracle to thy servant, that he may fear thee.

39 از آن رسوایی که می‌ترسم مرا برهان، زیرا قوانین تو نیکوست!

Take away my reproach which I have feared: for thy judgments are good.

40 خداوندا، مشتاق فرمانهای تو هستم! ای خدای عادل، جان مرا تازه ساز!

Behold, I have desired thy commandments: quicken me in thy righteousness.

41 ای خداوند، بر من محبت فرما و طبق وعده‌ات مرا نجات ده

And let thy mercy come upon me, O Lord; [even] thy salvation, according to thy word.

42 تا بتوانم پاسخ مخالفانم را بدهم، زیرا آنان مرا برای اینکه بر تو اعتماد دارم، سرزنش می‌کنند.

And [so] I shall render an answer to them that reproach me: for I have trusted in thy words.

43 قدرت بیان حقیقت را از من مگیر، زیرا به قوانین تو امید بسته‌ام.

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. So shall I keep thy law continually, for ever and ever.

44 پیوسته شریعت تو را نگاه خواهم داشت، تا ابدالآباد!

45 در آزادی کامل زندگی خواهم کرد، زیرا همیشه مطیع فرمانهایت هستم.

I walked also at large: for I sought out thy commandments.

46 احکام تو را در حضور پادشاهان اعلام خواهم کرد و از این کار خود شرمنده نخواهم شد.

And I spoke of thy testimonies before kings, and was not ashamed.

47 از اطاعت کردن احکامت لذت می‌برم، زیرا آنها را دوست دارم.

And I meditated on thy commandments, which I loved exceedingly.

48 احکام تو را با جان و دل می‌پذیرم و دربارهٔ فرایض تو تفکر می‌کنم.

And I lifted up my hands to thy commandments which I loved; and I meditated in thine ordinances.

49 خداوندا، قولی را که به بندهٔ خود داده‌ای به یاد آور، زیرا مرا به‌وسیلۀ آن امیدوار ساخته‌ای.

Remember thy words to thy servant, wherein thou hast made me hope.

50 در زمان مصیبت به‌وسیلۀ کلامت تسلی یافتم، زیرا وعدهٔ تو حیات به جان من بخشید.

This has comforted me in mine affliction: for thine oracle has quickened me.

51 متکبران مرا بسیار مسخره کردند، اما من هرگز شریعت تو را ترک نکردم.

The proud have transgressed exceedingly; but I swerved not from thy law.

52 ای خداوند، قوانین تو را که در زمانهای قدیم صادر کرده بودی، به یاد آوردم و به‌وسیلۀ آنها خود را دلداری دادم.

I remembered thy judgments of old, O Lord; and was comforted.

53 وقتی می‌بینم بدکاران شریعت تو را می‌شکنند، بسیار خشمگین می‌شوم.

Despair took hold upon me, because of the sinners who forsake thy law.

54 هر جا مسکن گزینم، فرایض تو سرود من خواهند بود.

Thine ordinances were my songs in the place of my sojourning.

55 ای خداوند، در شب نیز افکارم متوجهٔ توست و دربارهٔ شریعت تو می‌اندیشم.

I remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and kept thy law.

56 سعادت من در این است که از فرامین تو اطاعت کنم.

This I had, because I diligently sought thine ordinances.

57 ای خداوند، تو نصیب من هستی! قول می‌دهم که کلامت را نگاه دارم.

Thou art my portion, O Lord: I said that I would keep thy law.

58 با تمام دل خود طالب رضامندی تو می‌باشم، طبق وعده‌ات بر من رحم فرما!

I besought thy favour with my whole heart: have mercy upon me according to thy word.

59 دربارهٔ زندگی خود بسیار اندیشیدم و به سوی تو آمدم تا از احکام تو پیروی کنم.

I thought on thy ways, and turned my feet to thy testimonies.

60 با شتاب آمدم تا احکام تو را اجرا کنم.

I prepared myself, (and was not terrified, ) to keep thy commandments.

61 بدکاران کوشیدند مرا به گناه بکشانند، اما من شریعت تو را فراموش نکردم.

The snares of sinners entangled me: but I forgot not thy law.

62 در نیمه‌های شب برمی‌خیزم تا تو را به سبب قوانین عادلانه‌ات ستایش کنم.

At midnight I arose, to give thanks to thee for the judgments of thy righteousness.

63 من دوست همهٔ کسانی هستم که تو را گرامی می‌دارند و فرمانهایت را انجام می‌دهند.

I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy commandments.

64 ای خداوند، زمین از محبت تو پر است! فرایض خود را به من بیاموز!

O Lord, the earth is full of thy mercy: teach me thine ordinances.

65 خداوندا، همان‌گونه که وعده دادی، بر بنده‌ات احسان فرموده‌ای.

Thou hast wrought kindly with thy servant, o Lord, according to thy word.

66 حکمت و قضاوت صحیح را به من یاد ده، زیرا به احکام تو ایمان دارم.

Teach me kindness, and instruction, and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.

67 پیش از اینکه تو مرا تنبیه کنی، من گمراه بودم، اما اینک پیرو کلام تو هستم.

Before I was afflicted, I transgressed; therefore have I kept thy word.

68 تو نیک هستی و نیکی می‌کنی! فرایض خود را به من بیاموز!

Good art thou, O Lord; therefore in thy goodness teach me thine ordinances.

69 متکبران دروغها دربارهٔ من می‌گویند، اما من از صمیم قلب مطیع فرمانهایت هستم.

The injustice of the proud has been multiplied against me: but I will search out thy commandments with all my heart.

70 دل آنها سخت و بی‌احساس است، اما من از شریعت تو لذت می‌برم.

Their heart has been curdled like milk; but I have meditated on thy law.

71 تو مرا تنبیه کردی و این به نفع من تمام شد، زیرا باعث شد فرایض تو را بیاموزم.

[It is] good for me that thou hast afflicted me; that I might learn thine ordinances.

72 شریعت تو برای من از تمام زر و سیم دنیا با ارزشتر است.

The law of thy mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.

73 ای خداوند، تو مرا آفریده‌ای؛ پس به من دانش عطا کن تا احکام تو را بیاموزم.

Thy hands have made me, and fashioned me: instruct me, that I may learn thy commandments.

74 آنان که تو را گرامی می‌دارند، از دیدن من خوشحال می‌شوند، زیرا من نیز بر کلام تو توکل دارم.

They that fear thee will see me and rejoice: for I have hoped in thy words.

75 ای خداوند، می‌دانم که قوانین تو عدل است، و مرا منصفانه تنبیه نموده‌ای.

I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are righteousness, and [that] thou in truthfulness hast afflicted me.

76 اکنون طبق وعده‌ای که فرموده‌ای، بگذار محبت تو مایهٔ تسلی من شود.

Let, I pray thee, thy mercy be to comfort me, according to thy word to thy servant.

77 بر من رحم فرما تا جانم تازه شود، زیرا از شریعت تو لذت می‌برم!

Let thy compassions come to me, that I may live: for thy law is my (meditation)

78 باشد که متکبران شرمنده شوند، زیرا با دروغهای خود مرا آزار رساندند؛ اما من دربارهٔ فرمانهایت تفکر خواهم کرد.

Let the proud be ashamed; for they transgressed against me unjustly: but I will meditate in thy commandments.

79 ای خداوند، بگذار آنانی که تو را گرامی می‌دارند و با احکام تو آشنا هستند، نزد من آیند.

Let those that fear thee, and those that know thy testimonies, turn to me.

80 مرا یاری ده که به طور کامل از فرایض تو اطاعت کنم تا شرمنده نشوم!

Let mine heart be blameless in thine ordinances, that I may not be ashamed.

81 خداوندا، آنقدر انتظار کشیدم مرا نجات دهی که خسته و فرسوده شدم؛ اما هنوز به وعدهٔ تو امیدوارم!

My soul faints for thy salvation: I have hoped in thy words.

82 از بس منتظر شدم به وعدهٔ خود وفا کنی، چشمانم تار گردید! خداوندا، چه وقت به کمک من خواهی آمد؟

Mine eyes failed [in waiting] for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?

83 مانند مشک دوده گرفته و چروکیده شده‌ام؛ اما فرایض تو را فراموش نکرده‌ام.

For I am become as a bottle in the frost: [yet] I have not forgotten thine ordinances.

84 تا به کی باید منتظر باشم؟ کی آزاردهندگان مرا مجازات خواهی کرد؟

How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment for me on them that persecute me?

85 متکبران که با شریعت تو مخالفت می‌کنند، برای من چاه کنده‌اند تا مرا گرفتار سازند.

Transgressors told me [idle tales]; but not according to thy law, O Lord.

86 ای خداوند، تمام احکام تو قابل اعتماد می‌باشند. متکبران به ناحق مرا عذاب دادند. خداوندا، به دادم برس!

All thy commandments are truth; they persecuted me unjustly; help thou me.

87 نزدیک بود مرا از بین ببرند، اما من از فرامین تو غافل نشدم.

They nearly made an end of me in the earth; but I forsook not thy commandments.

88 خداوندا، تو پر از محبتی؛ به جان من حیات ببخش تا احکامت را بجا آورم.

Quicken me according to thy mercy; so shall I keep the testimonies of thy mouth.

89 ای خداوند، کلام تو تا ابد در آسمانها پایدار خواهد ماند.

Thy word, O Lord, abides in heaven for ever.

90 وفاداری تو در همهٔ نسلها همچنان پا برجا خواهد بود و مانند زمینی که آفریده‌ای ثابت خواهد ماند.

Thy truth [endures] to all generations; thou hast founded the earth, and it abides.

91 همهٔ کاینات به فرمان تو تا به حال باقی مانده‌اند، زیرا تمام آنها در خدمت تو هستند.

The day continues by thy arrangement; for all things are thy servants.

92 اگر شریعت تو مایهٔ شادمانی من نشده بود، بدون شک تا به حال از غصه مرده بودم!

Were it not that thy law is my (meditation) then I should have perished in mine affliction.

93 فرمانهایت را هرگز فراموش نخواهم کرد، زیرا به‌وسیلۀ آنها مرا حیات بخشیدی.

I will never forget thine ordinances; for with them thou hast quickened me.

94 من از آن تو هستم، نجاتم ده. کوشیده‌ام فرمانهای تو را نگاه دارم.

I am thine, save me; for I have sought out thine ordinances.

95 بدکاران منتظرند مرا نابود کنند اما من به احکام تو می‌اندیشم.

Sinners laid wait for me to destroy me; [but] I understood thy testimonies.

96 برای هر کمالی انتهایی دیدم، اما حکم تو کامل و بی‌انتهاست!

have seen an end of all perfection; [but] thy commandment is very broad.

97 خداوندا، شریعت تو را چقدر دوست دارم! تمام روز در آن تفکر می‌کنم.

How I have loved thy law, O Lord! it is my meditation all the day.

98 احکام تو مرا از مخالفانم حکیمتر ساخته است، زیرا همیشه در ذهن و وجود من است.

Thou hast made me wiser than mine enemies [in] thy commandment; for it is mine for ever.

99 آری، حتی از معلمان خود نیز داناتر شده‌ام، زیرا همیشه در احکامت تفکر می‌کنم.

I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy testimonies are my medication.

100 از ریش‌سفیدان قوم خود نیز خردمندتر شده‌ام، زیرا فرمانهای تو را اطاعت کرده‌ام.

I understand more that the aged; because I have sought out thy commandments.

101 از رفتن به راه بد پرهیز کرده‌ام، زیرا خواست من این بوده که کلام تو را اطاعت کنم.

I have kept back my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy words.

102 از قوانین تو دور نشده‌ام، زیرا تعلیم تو برای من نیک بوده است.

I have not declined from thy judgments; for thou hast instructed me.

103 کلام تو برای جان من شیرین است؛ حتی شیرینتر از عسل!

How sweet are thine oracles to my throat! more so than honey to my mouth!

104 از فرامین تو دانش و حکمت کسب کردم، به همین جهت از هر راه کج بیزار و گریزانم.

I gain understanding by thy commandments: therefore I have hated every way of unrighteousness.

105 کلام تو چراغ راهنمای من است؛ نوری است که راه را پیش پایم روشن می‌سازد!

Thy law is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my paths.

106 قول داده‌ام که از قوانین عادلانهٔ تو اطاعت کنم و به قول خود وفادار خواهم ماند.

I have sworn and determined to keep the judgments of thy righteousness.

107 ای خداوند، بسیار درمانده و پریشان هستم؛ همان‌گونه که وعده فرموده‌ای، جان مرا حیات ببخش!

I have been very greatly afflicted, O Lord: quicken me, according to thy word.

108 خداوندا، دعای شکرگزاری مرا بپذیر و قوانین خود را به من بیاموز.

Accept, I pray thee, O Lord, the freewill-offerings of my mouth, and teach me thy judgments.

109 جان من دائم در معرض خطر قرار می‌گیرد؛ اما من شریعت تو را فراموش نمی‌کنم.

My soul is continually in thine hands; and I have not forgotten thy law.

110 بدکاران بر سر راه من دام می‌نهند؛ اما من از فرمانهای تو منحرف نمی‌شوم.

Sinners spread a snare for me; but I erred not from thy commandments.

111 احکام تو تا ابد در خزانهٔ قلبم خواهد ماند، زیرا مایهٔ شادی قلبم می‌باشد.

I have inherited thy testimonies for ever; for they are the joy of my heart.

112 با خود عهد بسته‌ام که تا دم مرگ فرایض تو را اطاعت کنم!

I have inclined my heart to perform thine ordinances for ever, in return [for thy mercies].

113 از مردمان دورو و متظاهر بیزارم، اما شریعت تو را دوست دارم.

I have hated transgressors; but I have loved thy law.

114 تو پناهگاه و سپر من هستی؛ امید من به وعدهٔ توست.

Thou art my helper and my supporter; I have hoped in thy words.

115 ای بدکاران، از من دور شوید؛ زیرا من احکام خدای خود را بجا می‌آورم.

Depart from me, ye evil-doers; for I will search out the commandments of my God.

116 خداوندا، طبق وعده‌ای که به من داده‌ای قدرت عطا فرما تا زنده بمانم. مگذار امیدم به یاس و نومیدی تبدیل شود.

Uphold me according to thy word, and quicken me; and make me not ashamed of my expectation.

117 از من حمایت کن تا از دست دشمنانم ایمن باشم و به حفظ فرایض تو بپردازم.

Help me, and I shall be saved; and I will meditate in thine ordinances continually.

118 تو همهٔ کسانی را که فرایض تو را قبول نمی‌کنند از خود می‌رانی و تمام نقشه‌های اغفال کنندهٔ آنها را بی‌اثر می‌سازی.

Thou hast brought to nought all that depart from thine ordinances; for their inward thought is unrighteous.

119 تمام بدکاران روی زمین را مانند تفاله دور خواهی انداخت، به همین دلیل است که من احکام تو را دوست دارم.

I have reckoned all the sinners of the earth as transgressors; therefore have I loved thy testimonies.

120 ای خداوند، ترس تو در دل من است و از داوریهای تو هراسانم.

Penetrate my flesh with thy fear; for I am afraid of thy judgments.

121 خداوندا، مرا به دست دشمنانم تسلیم نکن، زیرا آنچه را که درست و عادلانه بوده است، انجام داده‌ام.

I have done judgment and justice; deliver me not up to them that injure me.

122 به من اطمینان بده که مرا یاری خواهی کرد؛ مگذار متکبران بر من ظلم کنند.

Receive thy servant for good: let not the proud accuse me falsely.

123 آنقدر چشم انتظار ماندم که بیایی و مرا نجات دهی که چشمانم تار شد.

Mine eyes have failed for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.

124 با من طبق محبت خود عمل نما و فرایض خود را به من بیاموز.

Deal with thy servant according to thy mercy, and teach me thine ordinances.

125 من خدمتگزار تو هستم؛ به من دانایی عنایت فرما تا احکامت را درک نمایم.

I am thy servant; instruct me, and I shall know thy testimonies.

126 خداوندا، زمان آن رسیده که تو اقدام کنی، زیرا مردم از شریعت تو سرپیچی می‌کنند.

[It is] time for the Lord to work: they have utterly broken thy law.

127 من احکام تو را دوست دارم؛ آنها را بیش از طلا و زر خالص دوست دارم.

Therefore have I loved thy commandments more than gold, or the topaz.

128 همهٔ فرمانهای تو را، در هر موردی، صحیح می‌دانم؛ اما از هر نوع تعلیم دروغ متنفرم.

Therefore I directed myself [according] to all thy commandments: I have hated every unjust way.

129 ای خداوند، احکام تو بسیار عالی است؛ از صمیم قلب آنها را اطاعت می‌کنم.

Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore my soul has sought them out.

130 درک کلام تو به انسان نور می‌بخشد و ساده‌دلان را خردمند می‌سازد.

The manifestation of thy words will enlighten, and instruct the simple.

131 دهان خود را باز می‌کنم و لَه‌لَه می‌زنم، زیرا مشتاق احکام تو هستم.

I opened my mouth, and drew breath: for I earnestly longed after thy commandments.

132 همان‌گونه که بر دوستداران خود رحمت می‌فرمایی، بر من نیز نظر لطف بیفکن و مرا مورد رحمت خود قرار ده.

Look upon me and have mercy upon me, after the manner of them that love thy name.

133 با کلامت مرا راهنمایی کن تا مغلوب بدی نشوم.

Order my steps according to thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

134 مرا از دست ظالمان نجات ده تا فرمانهای تو را انجام دهم.

Deliver me from the false accusation of men: so will I keep thy commandments.

135 روی خود را بر خادم خود تابان ساز، و فرایض خود را به من بیاموز.

Cause thy face to shine upon thy servant: and teach me thine ordinances.

136 اشک همچون سیل از چشمانم سرازیر می‌شود، زیرا مردم شریعت تو را بجا نمی‌آورند.

Mine eyes have been bathed in streams of water, because I kept not thy law.

137 ای خداوند، تو عادل هستی و قوانین تو منصفانه است.

Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments.

138 احکامی را که وضع نموده‌ای تمام از عدل و انصاف سرشار است.

Thou has commanded righteousness and perfect truth, [as] thy testimonies.

139 آتش خشم من وجود مرا می‌سوزاند، زیرا دشمنانم به احکام تو بی‌اعتنایی می‌کنند.

Thy zeal has quite wasted me: because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.

140 کلام تو آزموده شده و پاک است؛ خادمت چقدر آن را دوست می‌دارد!

Thy word [has been] very fully tried; and thy servant loves it.

141 من کوچک و نالایق هستم، اما از اجرای فرمانهای تو غافل نمی‌شوم.

I am young and despised: [yet] I have not forgotten thine ordinances.

142 عدالت تو ابدی است و شریعت تو همیشه راست و درست است.

Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is truth.

143 من در زحمت و فشار هستم، ولی احکام تو موجب شادی من است!

Afflictions and distresses found me: [but] thy commandments [were] my (meditation)

144 احکام تو همیشه عادلانه است، مرا در فهم آنها یاری فرما تا روحم تازه شود!

Thy testimonies [are] an everlasting righteousness: instruct me, and I shall live.

145 ای خداوند، با تمام قوت خود نزد تو فریاد برمی‌آورم؛ مرا اجابت فرما تا فرایض تو را بجا آورم.

I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will search out thine ordinances.

146 از تو یاری می‌خواهم؛ مرا نجات ده تا احکام تو را انجام دهم.

I cried to thee; save me, and I will keep thy testimonies.

147 پیش از طلوع آفتاب نزد تو دعا و التماس کردم و به انتظار وعدهٔ تو نشستم.

I arose before the dawn, and cried: I hoped in thy words.

148 تمام شب بیدار ماندم تا در کلام تو تفکر نمایم.

Mine eyes prevented the dawn, that I might meditate on thine oracles.

149 ای خداوند، به سبب محبت خود فریادم را بشنو و طبق قوانین خود جان مرا حفظ کن!

Hear my voice, O Lord, according to thy mercy; quicken me according to thy judgment.

150 افراد شرور و بدکار، که بویی از شریعت تو نبرده‌اند، به من نزدیک می‌شوند؛

They have drawn nigh who persecuted me unlawfully; and they are far removed from thy law.

151 اما ای خداوند، تو در کنار من هستی. همهٔ احکام تو حقیقت است.

Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy ways are truth.

152 احکام تو را از مدتها پیش آموخته‌ام! تو آنها را چنان تثبیت کرده‌ای که تا ابد پا برجا بمانند.

I have known of old concerning thy testimonies, that thou hast founded them for ever.

153 ای خداوند، بر رنجهای من نظر کن و مرا نجات ده، زیرا من نسبت به شریعت تو بی‌اعتنا نبوده‌ام.

Look upon mine affliction, and rescue me; for I have not forgotten thy law.

154 از حق من دفاع کن و مرا آزاد ساز! طبق وعده‌ات جان مرا حفظ کن.

Plead my cause, and ransom me: quicken me because of thy word.

155 بدکاران نجات نخواهند یافت، زیرا فرایض تو را اطاعت نمی‌کنند.

Salvation is far from sinners: for they have not searched out thine ordinances.

156 خداوندا، رحمت تو عظیم است! بگذار با حفظ قوانینت زنده بمانم!

Thy mercies, O Lord, are many: quicken me according to thy judgment.

157 دشمنان و آزاردهندگان من بسیارند، اما من از اطاعت نمودن احکام تو غفلت نخواهم کرد.

Many are they that persecute me and oppress me: [but] I have not declined from thy testimonies.

158 وقتی به بدکاران که کلام تو را اطاعت نمی‌کنند، نگاه می‌کنم، از آنها منزجر می‌شوم.

I beheld men acting foolishly, and I pined away; for they kept not thine oracles.

159 خداوندا، ملاحظه فرما که چقدر فرمانهای تو را دوست می‌دارم. طبق محبت خود، جان مرا حفظ کن.

Behold, I have loved thy commandments, O Lord: quicken me in thy mercy.

160 تمام قوانین تو بر حق و داوریهای تو همیشه عادلانه است.

The beginning of thy words is truth; and all the judgments of thy righteousness [endure] for ever.

161 زورمندان با بی‌انصافی بر من ظلم کردند، اما من کلام تو را گرامی داشتم.

Princes persecuted me without a cause, but my heart feared because of thy words.

162 به سبب وعده‌های تو خوشحال هستم، خوشحال مانند کسی که گنج بزرگی یافته باشد!

I will exult because of thine oracles, as one that finds much spoil.

163 از دروغ متنفر و بیزارم، اما شریعت تو را دوست دارم.

I hate and abhor unrighteousness; but I love thy law.

164 برای قوانین عادلانهٔ تو، روزی هفت بار تو را سپاس می‌گویم.

Seven times in a day have I praised thee because of the judgments of thy righteousness.

165 آنان که شریعت تو را دوست دارند از سلامتی کامل برخوردارند و هیچ قدرتی باعث لغزش آنان نخواهد شد!

Great peace have they that love thy law: and there is no stumbling-block to them.

166 ای خداوند، من احکام تو را اطاعت می‌کنم و امیدم به توست که مرا نجات دهی.

I waited for thy salvation, O Lord, and have loved thy commandments.

167 احکام تو را انجام می‌دهم و آنها را از صمیم قلب دوست می‌دارم.

My soul has kept thy testimonies, and loved them exceedingly.

168 فرامین و احکام تو را نگاه می‌دارم، زیرا تو ناظر بر همهٔ کارهای من هستی.

I have kept thy commandments and thy testimonies; for all my ways are before thee, O Lord.

169 ای خداوند، فریاد مرا بشنو! طبق وعده‌ای که داده‌ای قدرت درک مرا زیاد کن.

Let my supplication come near before thee, o Lord; instruct me according to thine oracle.

170 دعایم را بشنو و طبق وعده‌ات مرا نجات ده!

Let my petition come in before thee, O Lord; deliver me according to thine oracle.

171 همیشه تو را سپاس می‌گویم، زیرا فرایض خود را به من می‌آموزی.

Let my lips utter a hymn, when thou shalt have taught me thine ordinances.

172 کلامت را با سرود ستایش خواهم کرد، زیرا تمام احکام تو عادلانه است!

Let my tongue utter thine oracles; for all thy commandments are righteous.

173 یار و یاور من باش، زیرا مطیع فرامین تو هستم.

Let thine hand be [prompt] to save me; for I have chosen thy commandments.

174 ای خداوند، مشتاق دیدن عمل رهایی‌بخش تو هستم؛ شریعت تو لذت زندگی من است!

I have longed after thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my (meditation)

175 بگذار زنده بمانم و تو را سپاس بگویم! بگذار قوانین تو راهنمای من باشند!

My soul shall live, and shall praise thee; and thy judgments shall help me.

176 مانند گوسفند گمشده سرگردان هستم! بیا و مرا دریاب، زیرا خادمت احکام تو را فراموش نکرده است.

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I have not forgotten thy commandments.
