I Koryntian 10
1 Nie chcę, bracia, żebyście nie wiedzieli, że wszyscy nasi ojcowie byli pod obłokiem i wszyscy przeszli przez morze;
For I wish not ye should be ignorant, brethren, that, all our fathers, were, under the cloud, and, all, passed through the sea, —
2 I wszyscy w Mojżesza zostali ochrzczeni w obłoku i w morzu;
And, all, immersed themselves into Moses, in the cloud, and in the sea;
3 Wszyscy też jedli ten sam pokarm duchowy;
And, all, did eat [the same] spiritual food,
4 I wszyscy pili ten sam duchowy napój. Pili bowiem ze skały duchowej, która szła za nimi. A tą skałą był Chrystus.
And, all, drank, the same spiritual drink, —for they continued to drink of the spiritual rock that followed them, and, the rock, was the Christ: —
5 Lecz większości z nich nie upodobał sobie Bóg. Polegli bowiem na pustyni.
Nevertheless, with the most of them, God, was not well-pleased, for they were strewed along in the desert.
6 A to stało się dla nas przykładem, żebyśmy nie pożądali złych rzeczy, jak oni pożądali.
But, in these things, they became, ensamples for us, to the end we should not be covetous of evil things, even as, they, also coveted;
7 Nie bądźcie więc bałwochwalcami, jak niektórzy z nich, jak jest napisane: Usiadł lud, aby jeść i pić, i wstali, aby się bawić.
Neither become ye, idolaters, as some of them, —as it is written—The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to be making sport;
8 Nie dopuszczajmy się też nierządu, jak niektórzy z nich się dopuszczali i padło ich jednego dnia dwadzieścia trzy tysiące;
Neither let us commit fornication, as, some of them, committed fornication, and there fell, in one day, three and twenty thousand;
9 I nie wystawiajmy na próbę Chrystusa, jak niektórzy z nich wystawiali i poginęli od wężów;
Neither let us be putting the Lord to the test, as, some of them, put him to the test, and, by the serpents, were perishing;
10 Ani nie szemrajcie, jak niektórzy z nich szemrali i zostali wytraceni przez niszczyciela.
Neither be ye murmuring, even, as some of them, murmured, and perished by the destroyer.
11 A to wszystko przydarzyło się im dla przykładu i zostało napisane dla napomnienia nas, których dosięgnął kres czasów. (aiōn g165)
But, these things, by way of type, were happening unto them, and were written with a view to our admonition, unto whom, the ends of the ages, have reached along. (aiōn g165)
12 Tak więc kto myśli, że stoi, niech uważa, aby nie upadł.
So that, he that thinketh he is standing, let him take heed lest he fall.
13 Nie nawiedziła was pokusa inna niż ludzka. Lecz Bóg jest wierny i nie pozwoli, żebyście byli kuszeni ponad [wasze] siły, ale wraz z pokusą da wyjście, żebyście mogli [ją] znieść.
Trial, hath not taken you, save such as man can bear; faithful, moreover is God, who will not suffer you to be tried above what ye are able, but will make, with the trial, also the way of escape, that ye may be able to hold out.
14 Dlatego, moi najmilsi, uciekajcie od bałwochwalstwa.
Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry, —
15 Mówię jak do mądrych. Osądźcie sami to, co mówię.
As, to prudent men, I speak, —judge, ye, what I say: —
16 Kielich błogosławieństwa, który błogosławimy, czy nie jest wspólnotą krwi Chrystusa? Chleb, który łamiemy, czy nie jest wspólnotą ciała Chrystusa?
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not, a sharing together of the blood of the Christ? The loaf which we break, is it not, a sharing together of the body of the Christ?
17 My bowiem, [choć] liczni, jesteśmy jednym chlebem i jednym ciałem, bo wszyscy jesteśmy uczestnikami jednego chleba.
Because, one loaf, one body, we, the many, are, for we, all, of the one loaf, partake.
18 Przypatrzcie się Izraelowi według ciała. Czyż ci, którzy jedzą ofiary, nie są uczestnikami ołtarza?
Be looking at Israel after the flesh: —are not, they who eat the sacrifices, joint partakers with the altar?
19 Cóż więc [chcę] powiedzieć? Że bożek jest czymś albo ofiara składana bożkom czymś jest?
What, then, am I saying?—that, an idol-sacrifice, is anything? or that, an idol, is anything?
20 Raczej [chcę powiedzieć], że to, co poganie ofiarują, demonom ofiarują, a nie Bogu. A nie chciałbym, żebyście mieli społeczność z demonami.
On the contrary—that, the things which the nations sacrifice, unto demons, and not unto God, they sacrifice; and I wish not that ye should become, sharers together with the demons!
21 Nie możecie pić kielicha Pana i kielicha demonów. Nie możecie być uczestnikami stołu Pana i stołu demonów.
Ye cannot be drinking—a cup of the Lord, and a cup of demons; ye cannot be partaking of, a table of the Lord, and a table of demons.
22 Czy będziemy pobudzali Pana do zazdrości? Czy jesteśmy mocniejsi od niego?
Or are we to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we mightier than he?
23 Wszystko mi wolno, ale nie wszystko [jest] pożyteczne. Wszystko mi wolno, ale nie wszystko buduje.
All things are allowable—but, not all things, are profitable, —all things are allowable—but, not all things, upbuild.
24 Niech nikt nie szuka własnego [dobra], lecz [dobra] bliźniego.
Let, no one, be seeking, what concerneth himself, but that which concerneth some one else.
25 Wszystko, co sprzedają w jatkach, jedzcie, o nic nie pytając ze względu na sumienie.
Whatsoever, in the market, is sold, eat, —asking no question, for conscience sake;
26 Pańska bowiem jest ziemia i wszystko, co ją napełnia.
For, unto the Lord, belongeth the earth, and the fullness thereof.
27 Jeśli zaprosi was ktoś z niewierzących, a chcecie iść, jedzcie wszystko, co przed wami postawią, o nic nie pytając ze względu na sumienie.
If one of them who believe not invite you, and ye are disposed to go, whatsoever is set before you, eat, —asking no question, for conscience sake.
28 Lecz jeśli ktoś wam powie: To jest ofiarowane bożkom, nie jedzcie ze względu na tego, który to powiedział, i ze względu na sumienie. Pańska bowiem jest ziemia i wszystko, co ją napełnia.
But, if anyone should say unto you, —This, is, a holy sacrifice, do not eat, for that man’s sake who disclosed it, and for conscience sake: —
29 Ale sumienie, mówię, nie twoje, lecz tego drugiego. Dlaczego bowiem moja wolność ma być sądzona przez cudze sumienie?
But, conscience, I mean, not thine own, but the other’s, —for why is my freedom to be judged by another’s conscience?
30 Bo jeśli ja z dziękczynieniem [coś] spożywam, to czemu mam być spotwarzany za to, za co dziękuję?
If, I, with gratitude, partake, why am I to be defamed, as to that for which, I, give thanks?
31 Tak więc czy jecie, czy pijecie, czy cokolwiek [innego] robicie, wszystko róbcie ku chwale Boga.
Whether, therefore, ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do, all things to the glory of God.
32 Nie bądźcie zgorszeniem ani dla Żydów, ani dla Greków, ani dla kościoła Bożego;
Give no occasion of stumbling—whether to Jews, or to Greeks, or to the assembly of God:
33 Tak jak i ja się wszystkim we wszystkim podobam, nie szukając w tym własnej korzyści, ale [korzyści] wielu, aby byli zbawieni.
Even as, I also, in all things do please all, not seeking my own profit, but that of the many, that they may be saved.
