Salmos 28
1 A ti clamarei, ó Senhor, Rocha minha; não emmudeças para comigo: se te calares para comigo, fique eu similhante aos que descem ao abysmo.
David’s. Unto thee, O Yahweh, do I cry, O my Rock! do not turn in silence from me, —lest, if thou turn from me in silence, I be like them who go down into the pit.
2 Ouve a voz das minhas supplicas, quando a ti clamar, quando levantar as minhas mãos para o teu sancto oraculo.
Hear the voice of my supplication, when I cry to thee for help, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy shrine.
3 Não me arremesses com os impios e com os que obram a iniquidade; que fallam de paz ao seu proximo, mas teem mal nos seus corações.
Do not drag me away—with the lawless, or with the workers of iniquity, —who speak peaceably with their neighbours, but, wrong, is in their heart.
4 Dá-lhes segundo as suas obras e segundo a malicia dos seus esforços; dá-lhes conforme a obra das suas mãos; torna-lhes a sua recompensa.
Give them, according to their deed, and, according to the wrong of their practices, —According to the work of their own hands, give thou unto them, Bring back their own dealing to themselves.
5 Porquanto não attendem ás obras do Senhor, nem á obra das suas mãos; pelo que elle os derribará e não os reedificará.
Because they heed not The Deeds of Yahweh, or the Work of his hands, he will pull them down, and not build them.
6 Bemdito seja o Senhor, porque ouviu a voz das minhas supplicas.
Blessed be Yahweh, Because he hath heard the voice of my supplication.
7 O Senhor é a minha força e o meu escudo; n'elle confiou o meu coração, e fui soccorrido: pelo que o meu coração salta de prazer, e com o meu canto o louvarei.
Yahweh, is my strength and my shield, In him, hath trusted my heart, and I have found help, —Therefore hath my heart danced for joy, and, with my song, do I praise him.
8 O Senhor é a força d'elles: tambem é a força salvadora do seu ungido.
Yahweh, is strength to his people, —And, the all-saving refuge of his Anointed One, is he!
9 Salva o teu povo, e abençoa a tua herança; e apascenta-os e exalta-os para sempre.
Oh save thy people, and bless thine inheritance, Tend them also, and carry them, Unto times age-abiding.
