Salmos 58
1 Acaso fallaes vós devéras, ó congregação, a justiça? Julgaes realmente, ó filhos dos homens
For the Chief Musician; [set to] Al-tashheth. [A Psalm] of David. Michtam. Do ye indeed in silence speak righteousness? Do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
2 Antes no coração obraes perversidades: sobre a terra pesaes a violencia das vossas mãos.
Nay, in heart ye work wickedness; Ye weigh out the violence of your hands in the earth.
3 Alienam-se os impios desde a madre; andam errados desde que nasceram, fallando mentiras.
The wicked are estranged from the womb: They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies.
4 O seu veneno é similhante ao veneno da serpente; são como a vibora surda que tapa os ouvidos,
Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: [They are] like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear,
5 Para não ouvir a voz dos encantadores, do encantador sabio em encantamentos.
Which hearkeneth not to the voice of charmers, Charming never so wisely.
6 Ó Deus, quebra-lhes os dentes nas suas boccas; arranca, Senhor, os dentes queixaes aos filhos dos leões.
Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: Break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Jehovah.
7 Escorram como aguas que correm constantemente; quando elle armar as suas frechas, fiquem feitos em pedaços.
Let them melt away as water that runneth apace: When he aimeth his arrows, let them be as though they were cut off.
8 Como a lesma se derrete, assim se vá cada um d'elles, como o aborto d'uma mulher, que nunca viu o sol.
[Let them be] as a snail which melteth and passeth away, [Like] the untimely birth of a woman, that hath not seen the sun.
9 Antes que as vossas panellas sintam os espinhos, elle os arrebatará na sua indignação como com um redemoinho.
Before your pots can feel the thorns, He will take them away with a whirlwind, the green and the burning alike.
10 O justo se alegrará quando vir a vingança; lavará os seus pés no sangue do impio.
The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked;
11 Então dirá o homem: Devéras ha uma recompensa para o justo; devéras ha um Deus que julga na terra.
So that men shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: Verily there is a God that judgeth in the earth.
