< ಮಾರ್ಕಃ 15 >

1 ಅಥ ಪ್ರಭಾತೇ ಸತಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕಾಃ ಪ್ರಾಞ್ಚ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯಾಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇ ಮನ್ತ್ರಿಣಶ್ಚ ಸಭಾಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಯೀಶುಂ ಬನ್ಧಯಿತ್ವ ಪೀಲಾತಾಖ್ಯಸ್ಯ ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತೇಃ ಸವಿಧಂ ನೀತ್ವಾ ಸಮರ್ಪಯಾಮಾಸುಃ|
And immediately in the morning the chief priests, having taken counsel with the elders and scribes and the whole sanhedrim, bound Jesus and carried [him] away, and delivered [him] up to Pilate.
2 ತದಾ ಪೀಲಾತಸ್ತಂ ಪೃಷ್ಟವಾನ್ ತ್ವಂ ಕಿಂ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಲೋಕಾನಾಂ ರಾಜಾ? ತತಃ ಸ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುಕ್ತವಾನ್ ಸತ್ಯಂ ವದಸಿ|
And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered and said to him, Thou sayest.
3 ಅಪರಂ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕಾಸ್ತಸ್ಯ ಬಹುಷು ವಾಕ್ಯೇಷು ದೋಷಮಾರೋಪಯಾಞ್ಚಕ್ರುಃ ಕಿನ್ತು ಸ ಕಿಮಪಿ ನ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುವಾಚ|
And the chief priests accused him urgently.
4 ತದಾನೀಂ ಪೀಲಾತಸ್ತಂ ಪುನಃ ಪಪ್ರಚ್ಛ ತ್ವಂ ಕಿಂ ನೋತ್ತರಯಸಿ? ಪಶ್ಯೈತೇ ತ್ವದ್ವಿರುದ್ಧಂ ಕತಿಷು ಸಾಧ್ಯೇಷು ಸಾಕ್ಷಂ ದದತಿ|
And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? See of how many things they bear witness against thee.
5 ಕನ್ತು ಯೀಶುಸ್ತದಾಪಿ ನೋತ್ತರಂ ದದೌ ತತಃ ಪೀಲಾತ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ್ಯಂ ಜಗಾಮ|
But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marvelled.
6 ಅಪರಞ್ಚ ಕಾರಾಬದ್ಧೇ ಕಸ್ತಿಂಶ್ಚಿತ್ ಜನೇ ತನ್ಮಹೋತ್ಸವಕಾಲೇ ಲೋಕೈ ರ್ಯಾಚಿತೇ ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿಸ್ತಂ ಮೋಚಯತಿ|
But at [the] feast he released to them one prisoner, whomsoever they begged [of him].
7 ಯೇ ಚ ಪೂರ್ವ್ವಮುಪಪ್ಲವಮಕಾರ್ಷುರುಪಪ್ಲವೇ ವಧಮಪಿ ಕೃತವನ್ತಸ್ತೇಷಾಂ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ತದಾನೋಂ ಬರಬ್ಬಾನಾಮಕ ಏಕೋ ಬದ್ಧ ಆಸೀತ್|
Now there was the [person] named Barabbas bound with those who had made insurrection with [him], [and] that had committed murder in the insurrection.
8 ಅತೋ ಹೇತೋಃ ಪೂರ್ವ್ವಾಪರೀಯಾಂ ರೀತಿಕಥಾಂ ಕಥಯಿತ್ವಾ ಲೋಕಾ ಉಚ್ಚೈರುವನ್ತಃ ಪೀಲಾತಸ್ಯ ಸಮಕ್ಷಂ ನಿವೇದಯಾಮಾಸುಃ|
And the crowd crying out began to beg [that he would do] to them as he had always done.
9 ತದಾ ಪೀಲಾತಸ್ತಾನಾಚಖ್ಯೌ ತರ್ಹಿ ಕಿಂ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾನಾಂ ರಾಜಾನಂ ಮೋಚಯಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ? ಯುಷ್ಮಾಭಿಃ ಕಿಮಿಷ್ಯತೇ?
But Pilate answered them saying, Will ye that I release to you the King of the Jews?
10 ಯತಃ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕಾ ಈರ್ಷ್ಯಾತ ಏವ ಯೀಶುಂ ಸಮಾರ್ಪಯನ್ನಿತಿ ಸ ವಿವೇದ|
for he knew that the chief priests had delivered him up through envy.
11 ಕಿನ್ತು ಯಥಾ ಬರಬ್ಬಾಂ ಮೋಚಯತಿ ತಥಾ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಯಿತುಂ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕಾ ಲೋಕಾನ್ ಪ್ರವರ್ತ್ತಯಾಮಾಸುಃ|
But the chief priests stirred up the crowd that he might rather release Barabbas to them.
12 ಅಥ ಪೀಲಾತಃ ಪುನಃ ಪೃಷ್ಟವಾನ್ ತರ್ಹಿ ಯಂ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾನಾಂ ರಾಜೇತಿ ವದಥ ತಸ್ಯ ಕಿಂ ಕರಿಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಭಿಃ ಕಿಮಿಷ್ಯತೇ?
And Pilate answering said to them again, What will ye then that I do [to him] whom ye call King of the Jews?
13 ತದಾ ತೇ ಪುನರಪಿ ಪ್ರೋಚ್ಚೈಃ ಪ್ರೋಚುಸ್ತಂ ಕ್ರುಶೇ ವೇಧಯ|
And they cried out again, Crucify him.
14 ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಪೀಲಾತಃ ಕಥಿತವಾನ್ ಕುತಃ? ಸ ಕಿಂ ಕುಕರ್ಮ್ಮ ಕೃತವಾನ್? ಕಿನ್ತು ತೇ ಪುನಶ್ಚ ರುವನ್ತೋ ವ್ಯಾಜಹ್ರುಸ್ತಂ ಕ್ರುಶೇ ವೇಧಯ|
And Pilate said to them, What evil then has he done? But they cried out the more urgently, Crucify him.
15 ತದಾ ಪೀಲಾತಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾಲ್ಲೋಕಾನ್ ತೋಷಯಿತುಮಿಚ್ಛನ್ ಬರಬ್ಬಾಂ ಮೋಚಯಿತ್ವಾ ಯೀಶುಂ ಕಶಾಭಿಃ ಪ್ರಹೃತ್ಯ ಕ್ರುಶೇ ವೇದ್ಧುಂ ತಂ ಸಮರ್ಪಯಾಮ್ಬಭೂವ|
And Pilate, desirous of contenting the crowd, released to them Barabbas, and delivered up Jesus, when he had scourged him, that he might be crucified.
16 ಅನನ್ತರಂ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಣೋಽಟ್ಟಾಲಿಕಾಮ್ ಅರ್ಥಾದ್ ಅಧಿಪತೇ ರ್ಗೃಹಂ ಯೀಶುಂ ನೀತ್ವಾ ಸೇನಾನಿವಹಂ ಸಮಾಹುಯತ್|
And the soldiers led him away into the court which is [called the] praetorium, and they call together the whole band.
17 ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ ತೇ ತಂ ಧೂಮಲವರ್ಣವಸ್ತ್ರಂ ಪರಿಧಾಪ್ಯ ಕಣ್ಟಕಮುಕುಟಂ ರಚಯಿತ್ವಾ ಶಿರಸಿ ಸಮಾರೋಪ್ಯ
And they clothe him with purple, and bind round on him a crown of thorns which they had plaited.
18 ಹೇ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾನಾಂ ರಾಜನ್ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ಇತ್ಯುಕ್ತ್ವಾ ತಂ ನಮಸ್ಕರ್ತ್ತಾಮಾರೇಭಿರೇ|
And they began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!
19 ತಸ್ಯೋತ್ತಮಾಙ್ಗೇ ವೇತ್ರಾಘಾತಂ ಚಕ್ರುಸ್ತದ್ಗಾತ್ರೇ ನಿಷ್ಠೀವಞ್ಚ ನಿಚಿಕ್ಷಿಪುಃ, ತಥಾ ತಸ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮುಖೇ ಜಾನುಪಾತಂ ಪ್ರಣೋಮುಃ
And they struck his head with a reed, and spat on him, and, bending the knee, did him homage.
20 ಇತ್ಥಮುಪಹಸ್ಯ ಧೂಮ್ರವರ್ಣವಸ್ತ್ರಮ್ ಉತ್ತಾರ್ಯ್ಯ ತಸ್ಯ ವಸ್ತ್ರಂ ತಂ ಪರ್ಯ್ಯಧಾಪಯನ್ ಕ್ರುಶೇ ವೇದ್ಧುಂ ಬಹಿರ್ನಿನ್ಯುಶ್ಚ|
And when they had mocked him, they took the purple off him, and put his own clothes on him; and they lead him out that they may crucify him.
21 ತತಃ ಪರಂ ಸೇಕನ್ದರಸ್ಯ ರುಫಸ್ಯ ಚ ಪಿತಾ ಶಿಮೋನ್ನಾಮಾ ಕುರೀಣೀಯಲೋಕ ಏಕಃ ಕುತಶ್ಚಿದ್ ಗ್ರಾಮಾದೇತ್ಯ ಪಥಿ ಯಾತಿ ತಂ ತೇ ಯೀಶೋಃ ಕ್ರುಶಂ ವೋಢುಂ ಬಲಾದ್ ದಧ್ನುಃ|
And they compel to go [with them] a certain passer-by, Simon, a Cyrenian, coming from the field, the father of Alexander and Rufus, that he might carry his cross.
22 ಅಥ ಗುಲ್ಗಲ್ತಾ ಅರ್ಥಾತ್ ಶಿರಃಕಪಾಲನಾಮಕಂ ಸ್ಥಾನಂ ಯೀಶುಮಾನೀಯ
And they bring him to the place [called] Golgotha, which, being interpreted, is Place of a skull.
23 ತೇ ಗನ್ಧರಸಮಿಶ್ರಿತಂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸಂ ಪಾತುಂ ತಸ್ಮೈ ದದುಃ ಕಿನ್ತು ಸ ನ ಜಗ್ರಾಹ|
And they offered him wine [to drink] medicated with myrrh; but he did not take [it].
24 ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಕ್ರುಶೇ ವಿದ್ಧೇ ಸತಿ ತೇಷಾಮೇಕೈಕಶಃ ಕಿಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ಸ್ಯತೀತಿ ನಿರ್ಣಯಾಯ
And having crucified him, they part his clothes amongst [themselves], casting lots on them, what each one should take.
25 ತಸ್ಯ ಪರಿಧೇಯಾನಾಂ ವಿಭಾಗಾರ್ಥಂ ಗುಟಿಕಾಪಾತಂ ಚಕ್ರುಃ|
And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.
26 ಅಪರಮ್ ಏಷ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾನಾಂ ರಾಜೇತಿ ಲಿಖಿತಂ ದೋಷಪತ್ರಂ ತಸ್ಯ ಶಿರಊರ್ದ್ವ್ವಮ್ ಆರೋಪಯಾಞ್ಚಕ್ರುಃ|
And the superscription of what he was accused of was written up: The King of the Jews.
27 ತಸ್ಯ ವಾಮದಕ್ಷಿಣಯೋ ರ್ದ್ವೌ ಚೌರೌ ಕ್ರುಶಯೋ ರ್ವಿವಿಧಾತೇ|
And with him they crucify two robbers, one on his right hand, and one on his left.
28 ತೇನೈವ "ಅಪರಾಧಿಜನೈಃ ಸಾರ್ದ್ಧಂ ಸ ಗಣಿತೋ ಭವಿಷ್ಯತಿ," ಇತಿ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೋಕ್ತಂ ವಚನಂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಭೂತ|
[And the scripture was fulfilled which says, And he was reckoned with the lawless.]
29 ಅನನ್ತರಂ ಮಾರ್ಗೇ ಯೇ ಯೇ ಲೋಕಾ ಗಮನಾಗಮನೇ ಚಕ್ರುಸ್ತೇ ಸರ್ವ್ವ ಏವ ಶಿರಾಂಸ್ಯಾನ್ದೋಲ್ಯ ನಿನ್ದನ್ತೋ ಜಗದುಃ, ರೇ ಮನ್ದಿರನಾಶಕ ರೇ ದಿನತ್ರಯಮಧ್ಯೇ ತನ್ನಿರ್ಮ್ಮಾಯಕ,
And they that passed by reviled him, shaking their heads, and saying, Aha, thou that destroyest the temple and buildest it in three days,
30 ಅಧುನಾತ್ಮಾನಮ್ ಅವಿತ್ವಾ ಕ್ರುಶಾದವರೋಹ|
save thyself, and descend from the cross.
31 ಕಿಞ್ಚ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕಾ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕಾಶ್ಚ ತದ್ವತ್ ತಿರಸ್ಕೃತ್ಯ ಪರಸ್ಪರಂ ಚಚಕ್ಷಿರೇ ಏಷ ಪರಾನಾವತ್ ಕಿನ್ತು ಸ್ವಮವಿತುಂ ನ ಶಕ್ನೋತಿ|
In like manner the chief priests also, with the scribes, mocking with one another, said, He saved others; himself he cannot save.
32 ಯದೀಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೋ ರಾಜಾಭಿಷಿಕ್ತಸ್ತ್ರಾತಾ ಭವತಿ ತರ್ಹ್ಯಧುನೈನ ಕ್ರುಶಾದವರೋಹತು ವಯಂ ತದ್ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ವಿಶ್ವಸಿಷ್ಯಾಮಃ; ಕಿಞ್ಚ ಯೌ ಲೋಕೌ ತೇನ ಸಾರ್ದ್ಧಂ ಕ್ರುಶೇ ಽವಿಧ್ಯೇತಾಂ ತಾವಪಿ ತಂ ನಿರ್ಭರ್ತ್ಸಯಾಮಾಸತುಃ|
Let the Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and may believe. And they that were crucified with him reproached him.
33 ಅಥ ದ್ವಿತೀಯಯಾಮಾತ್ ತೃತೀಯಯಾಮಂ ಯಾವತ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವೋ ದೇಶಃ ಸಾನ್ಧಕಾರೋಭೂತ್|
And when [the] sixth hour was come, there came darkness over the whole land until [the] ninth hour;
34 ತತಸ್ತೃತೀಯಪ್ರಹರೇ ಯೀಶುರುಚ್ಚೈರವದತ್ ಏಲೀ ಏಲೀ ಲಾಮಾ ಶಿವಕ್ತನೀ ಅರ್ಥಾದ್ "ಹೇ ಮದೀಶ ಮದೀಶ ತ್ವಂ ಪರ್ಯ್ಯತ್ಯಾಕ್ಷೀಃ ಕುತೋ ಹಿ ಮಾಂ?"
and at the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, [saying], Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
35 ತದಾ ಸಮೀಪಸ್ಥಲೋಕಾನಾಂ ಕೇಚಿತ್ ತದ್ವಾಕ್ಯಂ ನಿಶಮ್ಯಾಚಖ್ಯುಃ ಪಶ್ಯೈಷ ಏಲಿಯಮ್ ಆಹೂಯತಿ|
And some of those who stood by, when they heard [it], said, Behold, he calls for Elias.
36 ತತ ಏಕೋ ಜನೋ ಧಾವಿತ್ವಾಗತ್ಯ ಸ್ಪಞ್ಜೇ ಽಮ್ಲರಸಂ ಪೂರಯಿತ್ವಾ ತಂ ನಡಾಗ್ರೇ ನಿಧಾಯ ಪಾತುಂ ತಸ್ಮೈ ದತ್ತ್ವಾವದತ್ ತಿಷ್ಠ ಏಲಿಯ ಏನಮವರೋಹಯಿತುಮ್ ಏತಿ ನ ವೇತಿ ಪಶ್ಯಾಮಿ|
And one, running and filling a sponge with vinegar, fixed it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone, let us see if Elias comes to take him down.
37 ಅಥ ಯೀಶುರುಚ್ಚೈಃ ಸಮಾಹೂಯ ಪ್ರಾಣಾನ್ ಜಹೌ|
And Jesus, having uttered a loud cry, expired.
38 ತದಾ ಮನ್ದಿರಸ್ಯ ಜವನಿಕೋರ್ದ್ವ್ವಾದಧಃರ್ಯ್ಯನ್ತಾ ವಿದೀರ್ಣಾ ದ್ವಿಖಣ್ಡಾಭೂತ್|
And the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom.
39 ಕಿಞ್ಚ ಇತ್ಥಮುಚ್ಚೈರಾಹೂಯ ಪ್ರಾಣಾನ್ ತ್ಯಜನ್ತಂ ತಂ ದೃಷ್ದ್ವಾ ತದ್ರಕ್ಷಣಾಯ ನಿಯುಕ್ತೋ ಯಃ ಸೇನಾಪತಿರಾಸೀತ್ ಸೋವದತ್ ನರೋಯಮ್ ಈಶ್ವರಪುತ್ರ ಇತಿ ಸತ್ಯಮ್|
And the centurion who stood by over against him, when he saw that he had expired having thus cried out, said, Truly this man was Son of God.
40 ತದಾನೀಂ ಮಗ್ದಲೀನೀ ಮರಿಸಮ್ ಕನಿಷ್ಠಯಾಕೂಬೋ ಯೋಸೇಶ್ಚ ಮಾತಾನ್ಯಮರಿಯಮ್ ಶಾಲೋಮೀ ಚ ಯಾಃ ಸ್ತ್ರಿಯೋ
And there were women also looking on from afar off, among whom were both Mary of Magdala, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
41 ಗಾಲೀಲ್ಪ್ರದೇಶೇ ಯೀಶುಂ ಸೇವಿತ್ವಾ ತದನುಗಾಮಿನ್ಯೋ ಜಾತಾ ಇಮಾಸ್ತದನ್ಯಾಶ್ಚ ಯಾ ಅನೇಕಾ ನಾರ್ಯೋ ಯೀಶುನಾ ಸಾರ್ದ್ಧಂ ಯಿರೂಶಾಲಮಮಾಯಾತಾಸ್ತಾಶ್ಚ ದೂರಾತ್ ತಾನಿ ದದೃಶುಃ|
who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him and ministered to him; and many others who came up with him to Jerusalem.
42 ಅಥಾಸಾದನದಿನಸ್ಯಾರ್ಥಾದ್ ವಿಶ್ರಾಮವಾರಾತ್ ಪೂರ್ವ್ವದಿನಸ್ಯ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ ಆಗತ
And when it was already evening, since it was [the] preparation, that is, [the day] before a sabbath,
43 ಈಶ್ವರರಾಜ್ಯಾಪೇಕ್ಷ್ಯರಿಮಥೀಯಯೂಷಫನಾಮಾ ಮಾನ್ಯಮನ್ತ್ರೀ ಸಮೇತ್ಯ ಪೀಲಾತಸವಿಧಂ ನಿರ್ಭಯೋ ಗತ್ವಾ ಯೀಶೋರ್ದೇಹಂ ಯಯಾಚೇ|
Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable councillor, who also himself was awaiting the kingdom of God, coming, emboldened himself and went in to Pilate and begged the body of Jesus.
44 ಕಿನ್ತು ಸ ಇದಾನೀಂ ಮೃತಃ ಪೀಲಾತ ಇತ್ಯಸಮ್ಭವಂ ಮತ್ವಾ ಶತಸೇನಾಪತಿಮಾಹೂಯ ಸ ಕದಾ ಮೃತ ಇತಿ ಪಪ್ರಚ್ಛ|
And Pilate wondered if he were already dead; and having called to [him] the centurion, he inquired of him if he had long died.
45 ಶತಸೇಮನಾಪತಿಮುಖಾತ್ ತಜ್ಜ್ಞಾತ್ವಾ ಯೂಷಫೇ ಯೀಶೋರ್ದೇಹಂ ದದೌ|
And when he knew from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.
46 ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ ಸ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮಂ ವಾಸಃ ಕ್ರೀತ್ವಾ ಯೀಶೋಃ ಕಾಯಮವರೋಹ್ಯ ತೇನ ವಾಸಸಾ ವೇಷ್ಟಾಯಿತ್ವಾ ಗಿರೌ ಖಾತಶ್ಮಶಾನೇ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾನ್ ಪಾಷಾಣಂ ಲೋಠಯಿತ್ವಾ ದ್ವಾರಿ ನಿದಧೇ|
And having bought fine linen, [and] having taken him down, he swathed him in the fine linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was cut out of rock, and rolled a stone to the door of the sepulchre.
47 ಕಿನ್ತು ಯತ್ರ ಸೋಸ್ಥಾಪ್ಯತ ತತ ಮಗ್ದಲೀನೀ ಮರಿಯಮ್ ಯೋಸಿಮಾತೃಮರಿಯಮ್ ಚ ದದೃಶತೃಃ|
And Mary of Magdala and Mary the [mother] of Joses saw where he was put.
