Éxodo 40

1 Yahvé habló a Moisés, diciendo:

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

2 “El primer día del primer mes levantarás el tabernáculo de la Tienda de Reunión.

On the first day of the first month, at the new moon, you shall set up the tabernacle of witness,

3 Pondrás en él el Arca del Testimonio, y cubrirás el Arca con el velo.

and you shall place [in it] the ark of the testimony, and shall cover the ark with the veil,

4 Traerás la mesa y pondrás en orden las cosas que están sobre ella. Traerás el candelabro y encenderás sus lámparas.

and you shall bring in the table and shall set forth that which is to be set forth on it; and you shall bring in the candlestick and place its lamps on it.

5 Pondrás el altar de oro para el incienso delante del arca de la alianza, y pondrás la cortina de la puerta del tabernáculo.

And you shall place the golden altar, to burn incense before the ark; and you shall put a covering of a veil on the door of the tabernacle of witness.

6 “Pondrás el altar del holocausto delante de la puerta de la Carpa del Encuentro.

And you shall put the altar of burnt offerings by the doors of the tabernacle of witness, and you shall set up the tabernacle round about, and you shall hallow all that belongs to it round about.

7 Pondrás la pila entre la Carpa del Encuentro y el altar, y pondrás agua en ella.

8 Armarás el atrio alrededor, y colgarás la cortina de la puerta del atrio.

9 “Tomarás el aceite de la unción y ungirás el tabernáculo y todo lo que hay en él, y lo santificarás junto con todo su mobiliario, y será santo.

And you shall take the anointing oil, and shall anoint the tabernacle, and all things in it; and shall sanctify it, and all its furniture, and it shall be holy.

10 Ungirás el altar del holocausto con todos sus utensilios, y santificarás el altar, y el altar será santísimo.

And you shall anoint the altar of burnt offerings, and all its furniture; and you shall hallow the altar, and the altar shall be most holy.

11 Ungirás la pila y su base, y la santificarás.

12 “Llevarás a Aarón y a sus hijos a la puerta de la Tienda de Reunión, y los lavarás con agua.

And you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the doors of the tabernacle of witness, and you shall wash them with water.

13 Pondrás a Aarón las vestiduras sagradas, lo ungirás y lo santificarás para que me sirva en el oficio de sacerdote.

And you shall put on Aaron the holy garments, and you shall anoint him, and you shall sanctify him, and he shall minister to me as priest.

14 Traerás a sus hijos y les pondrás túnicas.

And you shall bring up his sons, and shall put garments on them.

15 Los ungirás, como ungiste a su padre, para que me sirvan en el oficio sacerdotal. Su unción será para ellos un sacerdocio eterno por sus generaciones”.

And you shall anoint them as you did anoint their father, and they shall minister to me as priests; and it shall be that they shall have an everlasting anointing of priesthood, throughout their generations.

16 Así lo hizo Moisés. Conforme a todo lo que Yahvé le ordenó, así lo hizo.

And Moses did all things whatever the Lord commanded him, so did he.

17 En el primer mes del segundo año, el primer día del mes, se levantó el tabernáculo.

And it came to pass in the first month, in the second year after their going forth out of Egypt, at the new moon, that the tabernacle was set up.

18 Moisés levantó el tabernáculo, colocó sus bases, puso sus tablas, colocó sus barras y levantó sus columnas.

And Moses set up the tabernacle, and put on the chapiters, and put the bars into their places, and set up the posts.

19 Extendió la cubierta sobre la tienda, y puso encima el techo del tabernáculo, como Yahvé le había ordenado a Moisés.

And he stretched out the curtains over the tabernacle, and put the veil of the tabernacle on it above as the Lord commanded Moses.

20 Tomó y puso el pacto en el arca, colocó las varas sobre el arca y puso el propiciatorio encima del arca.

And he took the testimonies, and put them into the ark; and he put the staves by the sides of the ark.

21 Llevó el arca al tabernáculo, colocó el velo de la cortina y cubrió el arca de la alianza, tal como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés.

And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and put on [it] the covering of the veil, and covered the ark of the testimony, as the Lord commanded Moses.

22 Puso la mesa en la Tienda de Reunión, en el lado norte de la Morada, fuera del velo.

And he put the table in the tabernacle of witness, on the north side without the veil of the tabernacle.

23 Sobre ella puso el pan en orden ante el Señor, como el Señor le había ordenado a Moisés.

And he put on it the show bread before the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses.

24 Puso el candelabro en la Tienda de Reunión, frente a la mesa, en el lado sur de la Morada.

And he put the candlestick into the tabernacle of witness, on the side of the tabernacle towards the south.

25 Encendió las lámparas delante de Yahvé, como Yahvé le había ordenado a Moisés.

And he put on it its lamps before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

26 Puso el altar de oro en la Tienda del Encuentro, delante del velo;

And he put the golden altar in the tabernacle of witness before the veil;

27 y quemó en él incienso de especias dulces, como el Señor le había ordenado a Moisés.

and he burnt on it incense of composition, as the Lord commanded Moses.

28 Colocó la cortina de la puerta del tabernáculo.

29 Puso el altar del holocausto a la puerta de la Carpa del Encuentro, y ofreció sobre él el holocausto y la ofrenda, como Yahvé le había ordenado a Moisés.

And he put the altar of the burnt offerings by the doors of the tabernacle.

30 Puso la pila entre la Tienda del Encuentro y el altar, y puso en ella agua para lavarse.

31 Moisés, Aarón y sus hijos se lavaron allí las manos y los pies.

And he set up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar; and Moses accomplished all the works.

32 Cuando entraban en la Tienda del Encuentro, y cuando se acercaban al altar, se lavaban, como Yahvé le había ordenado a Moisés.

33 El levantó el atrio alrededor del tabernáculo y del altar, y colocó la cortina de la puerta del atrio. Y Moisés terminó la obra.

34 Entonces la nube cubrió la Tienda del Encuentro, y la gloria de Yahvé llenó el tabernáculo.

And the cloud covered the tabernacle of witness, and the tabernacle was filled with the glory of the Lord.

35 Moisés no pudo entrar en la Tienda del Encuentro, porque la nube permanecía sobre ella, y la gloria de Yahvé llenaba el tabernáculo.

And Moses was not able to enter into the tabernacle of testimony, because the cloud overshadowed it, and the tabernacle was filled with the glory of the Lord.

36 Cuando la nube se alzaba sobre el tabernáculo, los hijos de Israel seguían adelante en todos sus viajes;

And when the cloud went up from the tabernacle, the children of Israel prepared to depart with their baggage.

37 pero si la nube no se alzaba, entonces no viajaban hasta el día en que se alzaba.

And if the cloud went not up, they did not prepare to depart, till the day when the cloud went up.

38 Porque la nube de Yahvé estaba sobre el tabernáculo de día, y había fuego en la nube de noche, a la vista de toda la casa de Israel, durante todos sus viajes.

For a cloud was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night before all Israel, in all their journeyings.
